Sisters In Law #2
Hellfire
The only thing worse than rain on your wedding day? Hellfire.A drone mission gone awry just blew up one bride’s special day, and she calls on celebrated war hero and justice-hungry lawyer Christine Sussman to bring the responsible parties to justice. But while court cases fought solely on US soil are tough, this international battle is near impossible to navigate. Especially when big oil spills into the mix.Are the depths of Christine’s legal knowledge enough to beat out the depths of the guilty parties’ pockets, or has this attorney finally found a case she simply cannot win?

Not very interesting
I have been a high fan of John Ellsworth up until the last two novels I have read. Both The Girl who wrote the New York Times Best Seller and this one Hellfire seemed more contrived than his other novels. In Hellfire the ending seemed abrupt and the part of the son being shot and his miraculous recovery seemed made up to facilitate the ending of the novel. Also while people supposedly have their own interest in account, the actions in the sisters-in-laws seemed more interested in making excessive amounts of money than in just doing what is right. Hope the next book is better.

This was a great book, it was very timely breaking down the Relationship between a Private Defense Contractor and the Pentagon, how Billionaires can control the country. A Billionaire oilman decides that a man from the Middle-East should die because he refuses to sell his oil to them so they order the Pentagon to kill him (using a Drone). The drone does its job unfortunately there were innocent men, women and children in the house and they were all killed except a woman. The woman contacts Christine to help her sue the United States ( she found Christine online), Christine agrees to to take her case. The author does a great job of showcasing how the Billionaire Defense Contractors have too much power and control of our country. Christine was able to prove that the Defense Contractor ordered the Drone strike and the Pentagon followed his orders. Naturally The Middle -East women hooked up with ISIS to plan revenge, but Christine with the help from her Genius son and friends were able to help the woman and prevent a Terrorist attack planned by ISIS.

HELLFIRE
Well, he did it Again! John Ellsworth has written another easy to read, hard to put down, terrific story about Christine, the wealthy attorney who works wonders in and out of the courtroom. This book had all the excitement an 80 year old retiree (me) could stand. If John continues to write, I will continue to read his books. I don't think it matters much as to which of John Ellsworth's book I choose to read, it will be well worth my time. Thanks, John, for another wonderful book.

"Intense Legal Thriller"
In this exciting, compelling story, a U.S. Hellfire missile is fired from an American drone incinerating a Syrian wedding party. There is one survivor who is seeking an attorney to bring those responsible to justice. Lawyer Christine Susmann takes the challenge along with her friends known as sisters in law. Along with the legal responsibilities, old loves are re-visited, as well as new romances. Thus, this novel is totally entertaining. Awesome story line and characters. I loved it!

This is Christine Susmman again with Ellsworth conniving a tale where a government contract kills over40 innocents and she ends up suing. The story covers a lot of ground and is quite engaging, again with attempts on lives, kidnapping and such. I liked his first Sisters- in - law a little better but this was also very good. It stands on its own so reading order is unimportant. Another enjoyable book that I recommend. 5

Ridiculous story line too feminist
I realize this is fiction but writing this trash is not patriotic.
You would likely be the first to complain if our country was attacked but you see something wrong about killing known terrorists and the ones who harbor them.
No more Ellsworth books for me

Smart, witty, devious & deadly,
The Sisters-in Law Series -book 2 in particular was like riding in a speeding car along mountain roads.. Waiting to go over the edge. While Christine Sussman is, no doubt, the main character and narrator all of the characters come to the book fully loaded. Can't wait for the next

A fabulous read!
I started this yesterday, and read straight through until the end. Gulp???!!! So much suspense. Several little sub stories to pay attention to, so begin the lookout. Christine is very smart, as is her son. I kind of feel I was left hanging with the Ed thing? Is he coming back?
Overall, a worthy read. So where do I go next with Mr. Ellsworth?

Well written but,,,
Mr Ellsworth needs to get off his bandwagon that republicans are bad and democrats are good. He's old enough and should know politicians are all the same and that the worst crooks and nastiest liars in the US reside in DC and receive checks from the US government, and it seems to be getting worse by the day!

Thoroughly enjoyed this thrilling story. Mr Ellsworth’s development of story and characters are unmatched with intricate entwining of personal vs professional plots. My goal for this year was to read as many of his books as possible. This was the 20th…..all read in order…. With 2 more to finish by December 31. It has been an exciting ride and recommended to all…..SKp, Houston Tx

Just wait
For me, this read was hard to get into at first. It got much better and the twists got better by mid book. It wasn't my favorite but it wasn't bad. Overall it was a decent read. I just love some women Impowerment, even though we get duped occasionally, we stick together.

Good rrad
Great story & timeline movement went smoothly. I look forward to more books from this author. The heroines in the book are depicted as strong and smart, yet with real world issues issues.

Vabulous. They say "he who laughs last laughs best".
Once again Christine proofs you can't fool or contempt against a smart and capable women.
Although I found myself biting my nails at times I couldn't put the book down.

Legal Procedural with Action Heroines
Hardcore, hard-edges genre diction with women instead of men as the major movers and shakers. Some of the actions taken are morally gray, IMHO, but the characters are relatable. Interested to see if the author continues writing in the series.

Women rule
I thoroughly enjoy books where women with their minds and hard work can win. I grew up when women had to fight every inch of the way just to be. Also they are raising their children to fight for equality.

Worth the read. Go from one jam to another.
Love the pace of the book. You want to keep reading to see what happens next to the Sisters in law's club. Really enjoyed book one and two.

Good read
Another good Ellsworth book. Just not quite up to previous ones. Good plot and writing. Wrapped up too quickly and easily for all the building drama. I will still look for more Ellsworth books especially legal thrillers.

Survival when things look bad.
I liked the plot. It is a contemporary tale. Why do we drop bombs on innocent people. Actually, it's missiles.

Sometime s confusing
I really like Ellsworth writing, but this was like a disjointed rant. Not a good blend of story lines. He has done better.

Great reading.
Fast paced, quick turns, unexpected happenings. All in all one that is hard to put down. I lost sleep reading it but there is always time to take an afternoon nap.
