Our “Hero” takes the heroine but instead of selling her to someone else he purchases her for myself but the cartel wants her.. why? I can’t say other then she looks good *shrugs*. Eventually they fall in love but she is kidnapped by cartel, “Hero” rescues her.. blah blah blah.
Other random things I have to mention that I hated: - hero has a deceased gf, whom he loved and has a tattoo of her name - heroine’s fiance cheated on her by sleeping with heroine’s sister; yet heroine still talks to her WTF
I LOVE my MC books, they are my favorite. This book is basicially about sex trafficking. The club takes women and sells them. Nope! Not liking that. Thank god this book was on kindle unlimited.

What in the hot mess was I reading!?! The storyline itself had a lot of dark potential but everything else was just not good. I really forced myself to finish, even checking constantly to see how much more was left. I love MC’s and dark reads and I’m sad when the fall so short, but no helping this one.
She's kidnapped and placed on the auction block by Mason and his club. They deal in trafficking women ,brothels & a on going battle with the cartel. Never really clicked with the characters in this book maybe it was the subject mateer
I didn’t think I’d like this story when I read the blurb since it was a MC but I took a chance and read it anyway and turned out to be very good read. Brook Wilder weaved her magic and she got me hooked on the very first chapter and she kept me sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what’s going to happen next until I got to the very last page. So if you are debating on whether or not to get Bought ( Ghost Riders MC ) well all I’m going to say is take a chance on it because there’s no harm in trying. I did and I’m glad that I did because I found a good story to sink my teeth into. I highly recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of Bought ( Ghost Riders MC ) by Brook Wilder for my honest opinion.
Omg this book is phenomenal and deserves ten stars. Brook has given us an mc world filled with great characters, excitement, danger, and a love that is full of fire. cassie is new to the area moving after finding her fiancee in bed with her sister. But she has a really hot neighbor at least. then her car breaks down and mason shows to help her out. But then so do others and they take her. Now she is for sale and has no idea what is going to happen. The last person mason wants to have cassie is the head of the cartel so he buys her. Now he has started a war. who will win? Will they get a happy ending? tjis is a must read. I received this book as an arc and I am giving my honest review voluntarily
Cassie never expected Mason to be so dangerous. She thought him stopping to assist her on the side of the road was a good thing, but when help arrives she knows her world is about to change, and not for the better. Now standing up on the stage terrified, she can't understand how she ended up here or why Mason is the one bidding on her. What is Mason up to now? Will she ever be free?
This book had me hooked from the beginning! The story is well written and full of drama. The characters are well developed and intriguing. I couldn't read it fast enough! I highly recommend this book
I voluntarily reviewed a ARC for the author and I loved it
This is a well written and action filled story. I highly recommend this book. I just love MC Stories, and this one is just awesome. Mason and Cassie are very well developed characters, you just fall into the story and can almost see the emotions running off them. There is a lot of twists and turns, ups and downs, but it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Its another story of how the Bad Boy turns Good Guy and falls for the victim Good Girl next door.
**I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book**
As always I loved and enjoyed reading the story of Cassie and Mason. It had the suspense and tension, along with the electric tension and sexual it needed to carry it into the love story it becomes. The story is about a MC working with the cartel and Human trafficking. "With twists." I can't wait to read the next book of the series. I have to say for those who need to know there are triggers.
A very dark story line involving a MC that buys and sells women. Until Mason the president of the club picks his neighbor, Cassie to be kidnapped and sold but Mason falls in love with her and wants her for himself which enflames the mafia he has ties with causing them to have to go into hiding. Lots of twists turns and stomach clenching suspense along with some very steamy sex scenes. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC I received and am now waiting eagerly for MS Wilder’s next book!
Bought by Brook Wilder Brook had me hooded from page one with this book, look forward to more from this series. "I received an advanced copy of this manuscript and am voluntarily leaving an honest review."
this was a great read with a well written plot with tons of twists and turns, amazing emotion and plenty of steam I could not put it down !! This is a dark MC romance with mafia ties that will have you on the edge of your seat! i received an arc of this story that i happily reviewed
Loved this book! The twist and turns of the story kept me going and I found it hard to put it down. The dark MC world may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it greatly, and can't wait to see what comes next for this group of characters.
i received an arc of this story that i happily reviewed.
I received this story for an exclusive arc for review. I have read other stories by Brook Wilder but this story was not one of my favorites. I guess dark stories about human trafficking is not for me. It was well written but I just didn't like the story.
Cassie left to start a new life in a new town, after catching her fiance and sister together, but the only habit she she seems to be starting is being late everyday to her new job, and staring uncontrollably at the at the eye candy that is her super hot neighbor here and there in passing. But on one fatefull night Cassie is yet again late for work when her car breaks down and who pulls up in the middle of nowhere to lend a hand, but said eye candy, and when he calls for reinforcements to come Cassie thinks she is saved, only to find herself kidnapped and auctioned.... I have to admit when I first started reading I was completely intrigued, but as the story unfolded sadly there were little things that were lost on me, like for example Mason seems completely ok with selling women yet checks in with the men in his club to make sure everythings good in their lives and their woman are good, really, I know it may seem trivial, but poses soo many questions for me.. as well as soo many about Dana, and was she involved in the trafficing of women or did it come after? I am hoping Brook will tie this and so many more up in the second book so I can have a better understanding.
This book is seriously glorifying and making human trafficking okay wtf!!!!and the hero(who I don't think deserves to be called a hero) practically rapes the heroine and consoles himself with the fact the she enjoyed it(SMH!!!!) And he is proud that he goes around spiking girls' drinks and kidnapping them .....WTF!!!!!! The fact that he is good looking does NOT MAKE IT OKAY that he should rape and traffik women who are HUMAN BEINGS like they are an ordinary piece of meat!!SMH I hate this book !!!

Just not my cup of tea. The hero was a monster. No way you write he kidnaps and sells unwilling women in to sex trafficking. I really could not finish the book. He was just so mean. I like dark themed books but this guy was just to evil and mean.
Great idea for a plot but was so aggravated by the unrealistic actions and reactions of the main characters. Gave up at 41% of the book as it just got rediculous. First off, no one is gonna talk about the possibility of finding true love with slaves being sold at a flesh auction especially between two men supplying the goods. Second, said kidnap victim/slave in first week of enslavement is gonna be more worried of getting her life back while this girl on day 2 is worried of wether her captor is hungry?? that he knows she is falling for him too?? and her expressing to him understanding of his hesitation in falling in love again.??? Wtf? also having characters narrate their feelings of someone they just met but not seeing a single moment that could have caused these feeling to bloom. i hate that. And no hard biker who sells women for extra income is gonna think" I'm falling for this girl" within days of acquiring her and sleeping with her just once. Maybe if I read something happening between them or seeing a bonding moment, then maybe it would work. But just him saying so was a real let down for the story leaving me to think who thinks like this? Was it written by a 12 year old girl? I kept wanting to give this a chance just because it had a good storyline. Heart broken girl in new town has hots for sexy biker next door. Biker kidnaps and sells women on the down low so he kidnaps neighbor to sell but changes mine and buys her for himself. Yes this could have lead to them falling for each other eventually but in stead being creative with this story, it was watered down to be a quick write off. In comparison this book is essentially a meatless sandwich and if it's the meat u are looking for then u won't find it here
Honestly, this book was difficult for me to get through. I couldn't make it past the first 2 chapters! The errors and lack of good editing were too distracting for me. Multiple question marks seemed to be misplaced.
"'I wanted to see how you are,' Pearl said. 'I miss you?'" (so you don't know if you actually missed her or you think she can tell you if you did or did not? I'm confused.)
What is "hove"-ing? "... a black car hove into view"
Maybe it's just me but when writing from multiple perspectives I usually expect both the hero and heroine to hear the same thing. If we are reading from the heroines POV and she hears the announcer introduce her one way, I don't think it makes sense to have the POV switch back to the hero and then have him hear something slightly different from the same announcer at the same time. I believe in consistency. just look back and re-read what you wrote out before and make it match. That consistency helps me, as a reader, follow, relate and distinguish events.
All in all, I did not make it far. I can't say that the hero redeemed himself (he was not redeemable to me though, he seemed to have no remorse for the countless women he captured and sold into sex slavery. He rather seemed proud and was excited about the money they would bring in.) Or that the heroine stopped thinking with her lady parts and used the brain that apparently was intelligent enough to get a nursing license but not smart enough to get her to work on time. seriously how many days can you be late in your first week?! She just seemed WAY to dumb to me.
I’m excited about the series. Loved the characters, and expected of course for for villain and the damsel to fall in love. What I’m hoping is that, one of the GRMC’s isn’t Ruiz’s mole. I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THAT! I’m running it through my head. If so, please don’t let it be Diesel. Could it be Tye or Joey? Neither of them seemed pleased with the Pres going against status quo by changing the rules with Cassie. I mean, he did orchestrate the kidnapping by sabotaging Cassie’s car in order to sell her to the highest bidder. It’s that heifer Diesel is running off to meet. Has he been sharing a little too much. Hmm?
Quick note: I think a virgin would put up more of a fight regardless as to how turned on she is. She’d struggle a bit more with her captors, as she fights with the angel and the devil inside her own head.
Mason is definitely down and dirty and the President of the Ghostriders MC. As dark as he is, there is much more to him than meets the eye than his chiseled and tatted body and drop dead good looks. Business is business and no exceptions.....or are there?
Cassie is smart mouthed and innocent and fascinated by her bad boy neighbor. He looks dangerous, and he is and she will soon find herself on the business side of his MC.
Is he as dark and unfeeling as he appears to be? If so, her life will never be the same.
How dark is dark? Is there a line beyond forgiveness? Can you love someone as dark as Mason Bartell? Can your wants betray you? She doesn’t know but Cassie has no choice in the matter.
The real question is whether Mason has a choice and if he does, what will that choice be?
This book is not for the faint of heart. If violence disturbs you...pass. If you love a good MC book.. .keep reading!
Most MC stories, contain your average tattooed hero, a little bit of drugs, sex, fighting, and super ALPHA love. This one took kind of a different turn, which involved women trafficking. It was an ok read, but kind of hard for me to stick with, b/c of that.
I was able to get through the entire book about Cassie and Mason, but b/c Mason was deceitful, I had a hard time trying to be in his corner throughout the book, even though he fell in love with Cassie. I just couldn’t get pass the fact that they were in the mess they were in b/c of Mason in the first place.
It’s different, and I’m not encouraging anyone to pass on it. Just know it’s not your typical MS book.
I liked this book but it made me uncomfortable. Mason's motorcycle club kidnapped and sold women, sold drugs and guns and killed 5 in a rival gang. Cassie is the victim of all of that. But Mason desires her and to keep her from a evil killer drug lord, Ruiz. He pays $7000.00 for her at auction. Mason is brutal in his treatment of her at times. She finds herself attracted to him when he lived next door to her and now even though he's done all these things she still has feeling for him and hates him too. There are characters that you like and the club becomes just a job. It was a strange read for me but I did enjoy it.
Thing is with a book I have to like the H. Now I've struggled with him in this book cos he kidnaps womens and sells them into sexual slavery as a trafficker. So how the fuck am I supposed to get behind him? He's detestable. Nothing about him is redeemable.
Its so bad I've not picked my kindle up in several days, which given I've read over 370 books this years thays oretty damn bad.
So I've decided to give up.
Give me a dark character by all means but give me some redeemable qualities too please.
I think DNF tag doesn't really apply since I gave up 7% into the book, lol. Forget the theme, which by itself is a weird thing to play with but then, I don't judge a lot of premises before finishing the books.
The heroine is dumb as a bell without its heart and the hero is...uh...something? It didn't pull me in at all, the prose just wasn't there, it moved too quick without anything to anchor the reader to the story, the two main characters were unrelatable, underdeveloped and borderline annoying. I've read plenty of dark and taboo books but this one doesn't make the cut, sadly.
Brook has written another great book. This book shows how someone who has been dealt a crappie blow and tries to turn it around but then gets into a worse situation can learn how to survive. Eventually things that are beyond your control can shape who you become. Can someone who has been cheated on, kidnapped, sold and bought keep their faith in this life for happiness? I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review.
Great book! This story is a dark romance. Cassie, a goody two shoes nurse, meets her sexy biker neighbor Mason when he kidnaps her to sell her! It is a crazy rollercoaster ride from there! I loved it!
This book I had to force myself to finish. I saw no trigger warnings at all. This book was brutally revolting disgusting. Stockholm syndrome. There is nothing romantic about that. Still turns my stomach, and I still have a difficult reaction, I read this... Vomit.
