The Northern Pines Den series is an mpreg shifter series about found families, finding joy after pain, and the yummy scents of fated mates!
The Northern Pines Den of bears found a solid ally in the newly formed Northern Lodge wolf pack—and together they face a foe as fierce as she is evil: the den Alpha’s estranged sister. Through their connection with the wolves, the den finds mates who breathe new life into their traditional ways, though opening their hearts leaves them easy targets for their enemies—but the den will do whatever it takes to protect their own.
This three hundred and fifty-one page bundle contains the first three books in this best selling series - all books are fully re-edited, freshly formatted, and guaranteed to give a serious case of the feels!
Included:
Alpha’s Hearts — Fated Mates! When the wolf pack and the bear den initiate an exchange program to help shifters find their fated mates, adventurous omega Taylor is the first to volunteer, drawing the attention of the den’s lonely alpha, Mikael. Mikael knows the tiny, colorful omega will either breathe new life into their stilted bear community or cause an outrage. Either way, it won't be boring to have him around.
Alpha’s Mates — When the former soldier, alpha jaguar Jules, scents the kidnapped omega bear Colin, he will do anything to save his mate. Thankfully, protective alpha wolf Sean witnessed the kidnapping, and he is equally as determined to bring Colin home. When the two scent each other in their quest to save Colin, they realize they were not blessed with just one mate, but two… if they can manage to save Colin in time.
Alpha’s Strength — Omega jaguar Diego is fleeing an arranged marriage to the safety of his cousin Jule’s new home, little realizing he is running straight into the arms of fate. Alpha Heir to the den, Stefan, loves everything about the little bratty looking omega, even the arrogant glare he levels at Stefan when he catches the alpha eyeballing him. Yet the rogue war rages on, and none of their lives remain untouched by its shadow.
These books are all intended for 18+ readers only. It's advised to read the series in order for maximum appreciation. And yes, this book contains M/PREG, knotting, adults adulting in sexy naughty ways, and way more than the occasional use of potty mouth language! Caution: contains violent scenes and mentions of death as the pack is at war.
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
The audiobook version of Susi Hawke’s Northern Pines Den, Alphas Books 1-3 is the first three books of the series bundled together, narrated by John Solo. These stories have unique and interesting characters who have great chemistry, and is honestly just a really fun series to listen to. While the main focus is on the characters and the relationships (and the sex, of course) and there’s a nice dramatic storyline as well.
The first book in the series, Alpha's Heart, is sweet, sexy, and romantic. Setting up the story with an explanation of how the exchange program between neighboring dens helps Alphas and omegas find their fated mates, we also get an introduction to the drama which continues throughout the series.
The second book, Alpha’s Mates, is more intense. While there are some violent scenes to advance the storyline, there’s also an amazing triad coupling! The scenes Ms. Hawke writes between the three men are sensual and wonderfully erotic. She introduces some very creative aspects of the coupling and subsequent offspring of the mating between a wolf, a bear, and a jaguar.
Last of the stories, Alpha’s Strength, is where the action really heats up. Taking some of the focus away from the powerful drama is the mating of an alpha bear and a jaguar omega. The chemistry between these two is fantastic. The only thing better than the passion they share, is the humor they can’t help expressing in their interactions. I’d be keen for a whole series about these two.
I’m enjoying this unique shifter world that Susi Hawke has created. Her ideas keep the stories fresh and lively. I don’t want spoil anything by listing any details here, but I will say there are some unique characteristics that come into play when these guys mate, and they have some deliciously creative sex.
I’ve been a fan of John Solo’s narration for a very long time and his heartfelt performances always move me. I’ve been impressed with the variety of voices and accents Mr. Solo uses in Northern Pines Den, Alphas Books 1-3 and his contribution truly enhances these stories. I can’t wait to hear him read me the next installment.
an audiobook copy of Northern Pines Den, Alphas Books 1-3 was provided to me for the purpose of my review
I liked that the first 3 books were all under one recording. It was nice to just flow from story to story.
Alpha's Heart
This series is a spin off of Northern Lodge Pack. You don't necessarily need to read that series first but I think you would enjoy this series if you do so as you meet some of the characters of this series in that series. Taylor is a breath of fresh air. To say he is colorful is an understatement. Miakel is a little bit of a stuffy Alpha who is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. His sister, Yvonne, has been banished for some bad stuff that she did, she is bats*** crazy, but I really think he should have just killed her instead of the banishment. Anyway, she is back & has declared war on her former pack. The two packs have agreed to an Omega exchange giving the shifters a bigger chance to find their fated mates and Taylor is part of this initial exchange. Other than the threat of Miakel's sister hanging over their heads, it was a relatively light read. When Miakel first lays eyes on his fated mate, he & the alpha heir, Stefan who is a major player, are having a cum shooting contest, it was so funny. Of course we have Mpreg & Stefan is so happy that Miakel has a born heir as he never wanted to be in that position.
Alpha's Mates
A jaguar, wolf and a bear - yummmy. Colin, who is a bear omega, has been captured by rouge shifters who are following Yvonne. Jules is an Alpha jaguar and he is keeping an eye on a cabin that Miakel has scented his sister around. When Jules goes back to check on it, he notices that there are shifters around and he catches the scent of his omega & instead of running right in and probably getting killed, he leaves and reports back to Miakel and & looks for back up. Sean who is Taylor's brother and a Alpha wolf shows up to Jules' cabin & catches his scent & realize that they are mates. They then head off to rescue their omega mate. Even though we still have the overall threat hanging over all of their heads, this is another relatively light read. We have these three coming together & mating with everyone getting a taste of knots and a vortex knot, which I absolutely loved. Oh and we have triplets & loved what breed of shifter they are.
Alpha's Strength
The final book in this 3 book audio series is about Diego who is Jules' omega cousin and Stefan the Alpha heir. When we first meet Diego he acts like a privileged spoiled brat. I'm glad that this didn't really last very long. We see that Diego is really a sweetheart, but a spitfire. In this story, not only are they working on getting to know but they come under attack. Diego shows that he is a strong omega and is instrumental in getting their house betas to safety and Diego actually saves Miakel's life. Even though we have a little more drama in this one, we still have a fairly lighthearted & sweet read.
I can't wait for the balance of the series to come out in audio.

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. Each book in this collection is reviewed separately.
Alpha’s Heart - I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I just absolutely love how much trouble Taylor gets into and sometimes it’s not even his fault. I loved how much the Beas didn’t seem to like Taylor, and didn’t know how to take him, but it got even worse when he was meeting a couple of the snobby uptight den alphas and one of squeezed his hand really hard and as Taylor was shaking his hand out he knocked a whole tray of drinks from a betas hand as she was walking passed straight onto one the the alphas and then the other one slipped and fall onto another alpha and it was like dominos alphas crashing into alphas and then Walt, Taylor’s cousin yelled at him for causing a scene which Taylor didn’t like so he yelled back and then went outside to have a moment, his new friend and alpha heir Stefan comes outside and they both sat in the gazebo having a drink and talking. Stefan had been warned by Mikael that if neither of the wolf omegas were his fated mate he was to keep his hands off, but after a coupe of days getting to know each other more Taylor being Taylor talked Stefan into a completion to test their s*xual prowess but they don’t actually touch each other. They’d just finished the competition when they hear a extremely loud roar and then a massive bear charges at them and Stefan is frozen, shaking, apologising and smelling of fear as Mikael had told Stefan to not touch either of the omegas and to find them in the situation they were in and then smelling that Taylor was his fated mate didn’t help the situation. Taylor smells Mikael as well but as soon as he hears him going off at his friend Stefan he tells Mikael what he thinks of him and that it was his idea to do the competition so he should apologise to Stefan for charging at them.
I loved how Taylor wasn’t afraid to stand up for himself and I loved that Mikael could be reasonable and listen to Taylor’s suggestions and I also loved that Mikael accepted Taylor how he is, and told him that he should just be himself and that he shouldn’t change himself for anyone. I also loved the moment when Stefan tried to steal some pineapple from Taylor’s plate while he was pregnant and Taylor told him off then st*bbed him in the hand with a fork which started bleeding then Taylor started bawling his eyes out while telling Stefan how sorry he is, those pregnancy hormones are definitely no joke. I also loved how good Taylor is for Mikael and Stefan as well as being able to breathe some life into the den that totally need it, and hopefully most the bears will get with the times and stop being so formal. I also loved Taylor and Mrs. K’s interactions, and Stefan is so happy that Mikael and Taylor had an alpha their first try so he doesn’t have to be in charge if something happens to Mikael will at least until wee Alec comes of age. I’m looking forward to reading Sean’s book next as he definitely deserves his own happiness after basically becoming older brother/dad and raising Taylor, which Taylor didn’t make it easy that’s for sure.
Alpha’s Mates - I really enjoyed this book. I’m happy that Sean got his happily ever after, especially after becoming Taylor’s big brother/dad at 18 years old and let’s face it Taylor wouldn’t be easy to look after lol. I loved the connection between Sean, Colin and Jules, I love how suited they are for each other and I love that they’re all equal in their relationship and don’t expect Colin to stay at home and raise their cubs. I love how annoyed Colin was getting with all their talking when he just wanted to be claimed. I found it hilarious how fascinated both Colin and Sean were when they saw Jules knotting Vortex for the first time. I love Jules names of endearment for both Sean and Colin and I love how Sean and him call each other Pretty Kitty and Puppy Dog, luckily their mates so they both allow it but if anyone else tried they’d have hell to pay. I love how all three of them came together to re-open Colin’s family diner after Colin lost his dad’s in a car crash when he was abducted by the group of Rogues working for Yvonne, Mikael’s sister that’s banished from the area and made it their own and they pall decided to use their strengths to make it a family business like Sean doing the office side of things since he’s has a business and marketing degree, Colin will be in the kitchen since Cooking is his passion and since Jules doesn’t know much about either but he’s great at putting together a team he’s in charge of hiring the staff that they need. I loved the brotherly moments between Sean and Taylor, especially when Mikael was injured Taylor just needed a hug from his big brother/dad. I’m looking forward to Stefan’s story as he needs someone to keep him grounded and make him believe that he’s very capable, especially in being the alpa heir and he’d totally rock being the leader of the den if needed, well at least until Alec becomes of age.
Alpha’s Strength - I really enjoyed this book. I loved how Taylor and Stefan were joking about how Colin’s soup is life changing and then when Stefan arrived at Three Hearts Cafe for their grand opening he scents his true mate Diego, who is Jules’s cousin he had just arrived at Jules and his mates’ place after fleeing Belize with some of the gold from the dowry that was paid for him to mate with the Chieftan’s alpha son since he didn’t want to mate with him plus he was way older than Diego. I loved how Diego shocked Stefan when he asked him why would he be dropping him at Jules’s house since wouldn’t he be living with him, as Stefan thought that Diego may want to have a courting period but he was like we’re true mates so what’s there to think about as fate put us together so why would we fight fate. The war with the Rogues and Yvonne is heating up and the Den was attacked and they lost 17 people. I also loved that Diego considering the house beta assistants as part of their extended family and marked them all while in his Jaguar form so he could locate them if anything happened while they made their way through the woods to the alpha mansion after the attack began, I also thought it was cool that Stefan okayed for Diego to help be one of the points even though he was pregnant, yes Stefan was scared that he might get hurt but he knew that there was no point in arguing as his senses are more refined so he’d know in advance if anything was coming their way. I loved how when Stefan was freaking out when the points wanted to know what to do when they were in the woods about to make their way to the alpha mansion, and Diego noticed this and used their bond to calm him down as well as give him some different options on what to do. I still love Taylor and Stefan’s friendship and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next in the war with the Rogues and Yvonne.
I’d definitely recommend this collection, each book in the series and author to everyone.
I've read them all before, but I really like reading them all in the box set, it's just so much more convenient. Great stories, lots of sex, action, and humor. Just so fun to read.
This series is a spin-off from the Northern Lodge series, and while it probably would make it easier to understand some of the events described in the first few chapters, it can be read (or listened to) as a standalone series.
While I will admit I wasn't too sure about Taylor at first, he grew on me and I ended up loving him, he truly was the perfect mate for strong alpha Mikhail, who was amazing and very supportive of his unique mate. They were not only hot together, but they seemed so well suited for one another. I'm looking forward to seeing (or listening) more about them and little Alec in the next installments of the series.
I absolutely adored Steffan and I was very glad to find out his book is the third one in this series and included in this bundle! And while Peter and Walter were a bit of an acquired taste after how they both treated Taylor, I was glad to see them being nicer to him later on.
There's an ongoing arc with Mikhail's sister and I can't wait to see how it will unfold. While I haven't met her yet, she appears to be quite unhinged and it shall make for an interesting turn.
John Solo's narration was outstanding! He gave all the characters a unique voice and gave the story that extra-something that made it even better.
I adored this first book. I actually found myself laughing out loud or crying in certain scenes and I'm looking forward to learning more about this world where bear and wolf shifters live in relative harmony.
Alpha's Mates
4 Stars
The second book in the series features Jules, a jaguar shifter, Sean, a wolf shifter and Taylor's older brother, and Colin, a bear shifter.
While I enjoyed it, I found one of the sex scenes a bit jarring, I guess I could say it was BDSM lite, but I wasn't expecting it and quite frankly, I like to be prepared or in the mood when reading those kinds of scenes. Other than that, I found this triad to be very balanced and the three of them had great chemistry. I didn't feel like any of them felt dispensable, which is always good in this kind of books.
The ongoing plotline with Mikhail's sister is very interesting and I can't wait to see more of Tommy in subsequent books. While he's a mercenary, and not very clean at that, he seemed to be a good man and could be a great asset for the den.
John Solo is outdoing himself with these series, his voice is very enjoyable and damn, if his accent for Jules didn't make the room's temp go up a notch or two! ;)
Alpha's Strength
5 Stars!
This third installment was the book I was looking forward to the most. I adored Steffan on the first two books and seeing him with Diego was just icing on the cake. They were just so well-suited for one another. Diego was a totally kickass omega and well, Steffan was his own lovable, fun self, I just adore that he's so real. Diego and Steffan had chemistry in spades and their lovemaking was hot, hot, HOT!
I'm enjoying the ongoing storyline with Mikhail's sister. Even if I haven't met her yet, she's wrecked a lot of havoc already. Hope she gets her comeuppance soon.
And this was another fantastic narration by John Solo! If you have the chance to pick this bundle in audiobook, I can assure you won't be disappointed, it's definitely one of my favorites of his.
This book includes the first three stories of the Northern Pines Den series. The first, Alpha Hearts introduced us to the premise of an exchange involving bear and wolf shifters to aid in the 'true mate' quest. Meeting Taylor persuaded me to see where this story traveled. I'm glad that it did. I enjoyed the antics of Taylor and the influence that he had on his mate, bear Alpha Mikael. Taylor and Mik's story was the best of the three (in my opinion). The next story, Alpha's Mates, between Jules, Sean, and Colin was interesting and though I liked the build up, the ending was a bit anticlimactic, which one would question with three fated mates and then 3 cubs in the end. What I did like about this story was that though Colin is a omega, he was equal in everyway. Of course this can be said with all three stories which involves strong omega's. Typical stories find the omega's needing rescue and not really having a sense of self; however, the approach taken by Susi Hawke was to show that just because this particular type of shifter gives birth, doesn't mean that they are weak minded, weak spirited, and weak physically...a perfect representation of the real world with the "Me Too" movement. The final story, Alpha's Strength, with Diego and Stefan, continues representing that the omega is more than what most shifter stories imply. I think that is why I enjoyed this series as much as I did.
#1 - Mikael & Taylor 4.5 Stars Taylor made me laugh with is spunky, colorful, and outgoing personality. I liked that he stayed true to himself even after finding an alpha. Mikael was so sweet. I hated that he has to deal with his crazy sister, but it makes for a great story throughout each book in the series.
#2 - Sean, Colin, & Jules 5 Stars This one is a little more emotional and has a lot more action than the first one. Colin loses his parents, and gets kidnapped all because of Mikael's crazy sister, but he finds his fated mates during the rescue. The three men are very intimate throughout this story and it was sexy. Jules was my favorite.
#3 Stefan & Diego 4 Stars Diego is running from an arranged mating only to find his mate when he arrives at his cousins house. Diego acts as if he is used to the upper-class lifestyle which I wasn't always fond of. I was surprised Stefan had beta house helpers as I don’t remember the other couples having them. Even though Diego's an omega he is very much a take control and bossy cat at times. I felt like he was more alpha then Stefan most of the time, but that’s OK. It was still a good story.
This is a fantastic bundle of the first 3 books in this series. I really enjoyed being able to go from one story to the next without interruption. In the 1st book we have Mikael and Taylor. I love Taylor, he's not your typical omega. He's outspoken, stands his ground and doesn't change his outlandish ways for anyone. I really like that Mikael accepts him just the way he is and doesn't try to change him. In this book the war begins thanks to Mikael's sister. In book 2 we have a triad, Sean, Jules, and Colin. I really enjoyed the premise that all three are fated mates. Jules is a fiercely protective jaguar, Jules is a sweet and protective wolf, while Colin, an omega bear, balances them all out. In book 3 we have Stefan and Diego. I was so glad that Stefan found his mate and Diego is just perfect for him. Diego is a strong willed omega who doesn't bow down to anyone but is loving and caring with his alpha. The narrator was spectacular, the way he does all of the character voices with all of the different accents is magnificent. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This was a nice bundle of inter-connected stories, and I found it to be a fun read. Other than the crazy alpha female making life difficult for the Northern Pines Den, the stories are primarily lighthearted and are full of sex between fated mates. My favorite character throughout the stories was Stefan, and he was the one best portrayed by the narrator, in my opinion. The voice portrayal of Jules, on the other hand, made me want to speed up the playback. I did love how the bear shifters all had a similar, almost laid back sound to their voices. I felt like some things, such as the death of Colin's parents, could have been a good time to show more of the omega's grief and emotions, but I still enjoyed the story as it was written. I liked the fact that the omegas were not looked at as weaker than the alphas in this world. This is an author who obviously has a great sense of humor, and I appreciated it very much in this bundle of stories.
I was looking forward to reading the Northern Pines Den (NPD) series even before I finished reading the Northern Lodge Pack (NLP) set of books. There were characters from the NLP who I wanted to find their HEA.
I looked forward to meeting the new characters. I hadn't anticipated a MMM in the Second book of the NPD series book but I really enjoyed it. The three guys are perfect for each other. Often in trio relationship books I just skim the erotic scenes, but Susi Hawke wrote in such a humorous and tender manner that I enjoyed reading this Bundle.
Having another Jaguar shifter with their extra sensitive sense of smell and sight among other shifter characteristics was very entertaining. Once again the Bear Alpha's crazed sister makes very violent appearances.
To read my Reviews of the first three books of the Northern Pines Den series please look under the individual titles.
Individually, these books are short and fast reads. I like it better when the books are bundled together because I feel it flows much better. This series has fluff, romance, sex, and true mates. It also has action due to the Rogue War that threatens both the wolf and bear shifters.
Narration: I also listened to this bundle after I read the stories. John Solo does an amazing job with bringing this story to life. His performance is spectacular and I’m amazed at how many voices he can do.
Overall Rating: 3.75 Stars. It’s a fun series with the action really picking up. The sex scenes are hot and varied with wonderful characters that I can’t help but love. Plus, lots of fluff and sweetness.
This bundle is the first three books in the Northern Pines Bundle. I listened to the audio version. I loved the narration and just the slight differences in tone to distinguish the different characters. This book features two strong couple and a unlikely triad. I love how the different characters fit each other so well. The drama is laid through the books and when these moments happen they are intense and harrowing. But the romance is also allowed to build and is not overshadowed by the happenings. I can't wait to listen the next set of story to see the end of the rein of terror on these wonderful shifters.
This was such a cute and very delightful bundle. The characters had so much personality and I appreciated their love and support of each other and of family. There was danger and a very evil sister of the alpha who was basically impossible to catch, but her rogues were dealt with (most of them anyway). The matings were adorable and very erotic and hot. Overall, I found this to be a very pleasurable read. Now I'm off to read the next bundle. =)
This bundle includes books 1-3 in Susi Hawke's Northern Pines Den Alphas series. This is a great series filled with funny, sweet and sexy characters, getting knotty, being sassy, and making you fall for them all.the universe created by Susi Hawke is amazing and I'm addicted to this world. Definitely recommend this bundle!
This series has a little bit for everyone with it's great and quirky characters, lots of love with family and friends, hilarious situations, drama, angst, mystery, and unexpected twists and turns. It was a fantastic collection of stories that you won't want to miss! I highly recommend this book, series, and terrific author.
Susi has written a really great series with exceptional characters, a good plot, adorable fated mates and an Uber Villain. Can't wait to see how the story develops.
I thoroughly recommend this series I read Free on Kindle Unlimited to all readers who enjoy MPreg shifter romance.
I really enjoyed this bookset. There was action, romance and laughs throughout. It was the perfect light-hearted reading that you need in between the heavy stuff. I can't wait to grab the other boxset.
Still loving this series! I finished the wolves, now I'm falling in love with the bears!! Loved all of the couples so sar, well and Colin, Sean and Jules, lol!!! On to the next bundle!!
Sweet, sexy, insta-love stories that loosely follow the Northern Lodge Pack Omegas (7 books in that series also). Each series should be read in order but you don't have to read both series, just best read in order if you do.
Not only do we meet new characters and shifters in this series we also catch up with some of the Northern Lodge Pack too. I would highly recommend this series!
Susi is a master at giving us full stories in a short amount of time. Her stories are on the shorter side but they have everything I look for. These three stories are full of alpha/omega sweetness!!
I like these true mate stories... How they know right away... And the Smexy parts ain't to bad either... Every book had its own story and I couldn't put it down...
