As a bit of a techy I was excited to read this. It didn't disappoint. The only reason for the average rating is the technology talked about hasn't held up very well since it was originally written. It seemed hopelessly outdated though most of the methods would still be relevant with newer technology. I wasn't very fond of the overall quality of the writing either, but then this wasn't supposed to be a literary masterpiece. Still, some of the character dialog seemed a bit hokey. I do however think it achieved its purpose and with that it mind I highly recommend it.
