It began okay, going up, then monotone, single line, then finish. Maybe I'm not just in to it, but do you have to finish a bucket list even if it is not yours to begin with... Oh! That comprises the story. 🙂☹️

My Review:
Sizzle and snap! Nailed Down was an amusing and cleverly written slow burn adult romance that was a fun and sexy read while also managing to have little actual sex in it, but once they finally hit the sheets - wowza… the linens were scorched beyond repair! I adored this original and entertaining story as much as it enjoyed the quirky cast of characters. I smirked, snorted, and sighed my way through this sweet and steamy tale.

It started quite good. Portrayed h as strong working woman, but her actions throughout the book just pissed me off. And maybe I’m the only one.
Hero was sweet, protective (sometimes even too much). They were great friends for years, both secretly attracted to each other. He was actually quite in love with her and celibate for three years.
She thought he would never make a move. He thought that he should never ruin this friendship with her. Here goes this bucket list bullshit. And all over the book she is trying to make him sleep with her because of the ‘list’ and he resists the temptation.
I can understand that men can be dumb, but she couldn’t at least once just sit and talk about what is going on between them, tell him what she feels and demand the honest answer out of him. Nooooo. She is all over the place. The most disgusting thing is her and H’s brother drinking in the bar. She is thinking all the dirty things about him (at the same time having feelings for H and being his close friend). About why not sleep with him if H doesn’t give up and sleep with her already to complete the ‘list’ (she must know if there was anything between her and his brother she would definitely lose H forever and destroy their relationship as brothers – otherwise she is just stupid). And said brother is all over her too, telling her he would step up where his brother can’t (he even knows that H is in love with her – and he still would gladly sleep with her??? WHAT THE HELL?). It’s actually a miracle they didn’t have sex. Otherwise safe, no OW drama.
And her big ‘make H jealous’ game? Pathetic. Pitiful. Weak. Be a woman already. Go for him. Speak to him like a mature adult. If he doesn’t feel the same – move on. The end of story. The whole thing could’ve ended after 5 minutes of serious talk.
P.S. I still can’t get over this bar thing and her possible thinking process. What logic does she have?? I have feelings for my best friend. We shared a passionate kiss a few days ago. I am sure he has feelings for me. Why didn’t he sleep with me? Don’t know. But here is his hot younger brother. I can already see how he could make my sweat and moan all night. Maybe I should go for it? I doubt it will bother his overprotective brother who IS my friend, HAS feelings for me, WHO I desperately want and CARE about but cannot speak with him on the matter even after the HOT KISS we had……BOOM…..there my brain exploded. I just can’t stand this level of stupidity.

5 star Review Nailed Down (Nailed Down Series #1) by Chelle Bliss & Eden Butler
I have read numerous books by Chelle Bliss but Eden Butler is a new author to me. The two authors obviously work well together as I was unable to determine where one author ended and the other picked up; a sign of a great collaboration .
This is a friends to lovers story and a genre that I love. Well written it had both sad and happy moments that made it one heck of a roller coaster ride to read.
When Kit Carylyle’s cousin dies, she leaves her with a bucket list to tick off and the only person she can envisage doing the list with is her long time friend, Kane.
Of course Kit is unaware that the feelings that Kane has for her are decidedly more than friendly. Kane is worried that crossing the line will result in him losing his best friend and co-worker and since he values their friendship he does not want to jeopardised it.
I fell for Kane right from the start, he was everything that I could imagine wanting and needing in my life and so much more. Kit broke my heart with the depth of her grief over her cousins’ death. The support and strength that Kane offers Kit as she goes through the bucket list was swoon worthy, not to mention that the chemistry between Kane and Kit was sizzling.
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series which is all about Kane’s brother Kiel.

I guess this was “SO SO”. Kit’s cousin dies and leaves her a bucket list that she has to complete and so she enlists her friend & coworker Kane to assist her in it since she will chicken out if not.
The whole friends to lovers thing is a normal storyline and there just wasn’t anything that really stood out to make it more interesting. Kane was a seriously angry dude. I mean I’m all for broody but this guy was more angry than broody. He could be likeable so it wasn’t as if I didn’t like him, I did, but maybe just not very much. It does seem like most people liked this so maybe it is just me.

We probably all wish we had the balls to write bucket list. Team that with innuendo, banter and flirting and you have the perfect fun, flirty read about best friends who are avoiding crossing the line to lovers.
Kit is a sweetheart, but has been somewhat lacking in the hot and steamy department for a long time now. Her cousin has given her the push she needs by challenging her to complete a bucket list.
Kane is her ex-military best friend and co-star on their cable channel and so far he has managed to keep his feelings under wraps. They are just friends, right?
What Kit needs is some “expert” help to complete the bucket list and knows just the man to “stand up” to the challenge.
"I’m not gentle, Kit. I’m generous, but I’m not gentle.”
And I simply loved the cheeky banter between Kit and Kane.
“Kane,” I said in a super sweet voice. “You can call it whatever you want, but there’s nothing to lay out. We walking or we going to keep sitting here, talking like you got a pussy too?”
When authors can give us laughs along the way you know you are on to a winner
“I’m sticky.” “I know.” I rubbed a hand over her ass, giving her a squeeze. “I was there when it happened.”
Well hot damn… Bliss and Butler sure know how to deliver a hot, sweaty, alpha man.

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.
I am always ready and willing to read a new book by Chelle Bliss but give me the chance to read one by her and a “new to me” author and I am over the top with excitement and desire to meet their newest fictional couple. From the moment I met Kane and Kit they drew me in and had me deeply entangled in their game of should we or shouldn't we fulfill our deepest desires after years of friendship. I absolutely love best friend romances, there is something about the level of sexual tension between the two characters and the love that has strengthened over the years that makes me giddy like a kid in the candy store. Give me a hot, uncontrollable couple like Kane and Kit and it is like having an unlimited amount of the best chocolate that the world has to offer. They kept me awake long into the night wanting to know everything that makes them the best of friends and practically explode when they are in the same room together.
Kit Carlyle finds herself at a crossroads in her life since her cousin's death. Little did she know that her cousin's final words to her would shake up her world and give her so much more to live for. I adored Kit and her reluctance and then determination to work through the bucket list. It shows her that sometimes living on the cautious side of life really isn't living life to it's full potential. I really bonded with Kit since I am also a practical woman who tends to get caught up in the fear of living without weighing out every decision a hundred times over.
Kane Kaino is oh so delicious and kept me dreaming of a hot handyman who could remodel my kitchen any day of the week! I couldn't stop imagining him discarding his tool belt and rocking Kit's world. I loved watching this gruff and gorgeous man finally pursue the woman of his dreams, even if it is only because of a list. Everyone has misgivings and need a little push and Kit's cousin gives him the kick in the ass that he needs to show Kit how he really feels. I couldn't have fallen harder for this dirty talking, “can't possibly tell her how I feel” hero that can go all in when the time calls for it and put his heart on the line.
Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler deliver a love story that checks all the boxes of a favorite go to read while crossing things off of a sexy and thrilling bucket list. I highly recommend Nailed Down for the yummiest hero wearing a tool belt and the sexiest and sassiest best friend that is his match in more ways than one. Now that I have experienced Eden Butler's voice and storytelling skills, I will have to take another venture into one of her fictional world's solely created by her, since I have already read and obsessed over ALL of Chelle's books, while I wait for these two power house authors to join forces and write us devoted readers a scorcher about another sinfully delicious Kaino brother...one can only hope!

I've read both these authors in the past; have enjoyed the storylines that they put out and especially, liked their writing styles that brought their characters to life. From these two authors, i've had the opportunity to read more from Chelle Bliss, noticing that she brings an edgier type of story, her characters more blunt and willing to say whatever is on their minds. As for Eden Butler, her stories take you on a journey, one that you would think is long, but by the time you've finished her books, you forget how long it was and simply marvel at the characters - they seem like they float, their speech almost lyrical. Neither description is bad, it just makes it incredibly interesting when these two authors get together and write a book.
It didn't take as much time as i thought it would to go through this book. In fact, i found myself going through it as though my life depended on it, wanting to find out exactly how these characters, Kane and Kit, would manage to make it through Kit's cousin's bucket list. I have to admit that i have a soft spot for bucket lists. There's just something about them that forces you to let go of your fears and simply go for it, and i have a feeling that Kit's cousin just wanted to find her do exactly that - to let go and fight for what she wants.
While i love these authors individually, having them co write Nailed Down was a book that i know i'll need to re-read in the future just so that i can get used to their different writing styles and so that i can really appreciate how they complement one another. Not to say that this book was bad or what not, only that i kept getting distracted and that worked against me.

What a great author pairing! I have read and enjoyed both of these authors before and together they put together a great little treat.
Kit just lost her best friend and cousin. But her cousin was a smart and left her a list. She wanted Kit to be fearless and move outside of her comfort zone to really live and get the most out of life. In Kit's mind there is no better person to help her through this list then her other best friend and coworker/co-star Kane.
Kane is an interesting character. He is rough around the edges, determined, a hard worker and completely smitten with Kit. She just doesn't know it. Kane is a formidable force in the book. He has this presence that can be felt and makes Kit all gooey inside. He agrees to help with this crazy list, but refuses to do a few of the items, the items that Kit wants him to help with the most.
This was a quick read, the chemistry between Kit and Kane was evident from the very beginning. They are both equally strong characters but neither got lost behind the other. They were funny and engaging to read about and get to know. I thought the pace to this story was spot on and made it more relatable and real. And I am super excited to see where the story of the Kaino brothers goes next.

I'm a HUGE fan of the friends to lovers storyline. And Nailed Down by Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler is AMAZING!!! Nailed Down is book one in a brand new series from these creative authors.
Kit & Kane are since working together on their TV show have become best friends. They have intense chemistry both on and off screen. When Kit's cousin dies she leaves behind a bucket list for Kit to accomplish. And of course Kit thinks that her best friend Kane is the perfect person to help her with that list.
I ADORED Kit and Kane! Nailed Down is a fantastic, well written, fast paced story that will have you hooked from the very start! I look forward to reading more in this coming series!!!

4 “ Kit and Kat “ stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my first book by this author duo and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fast paced, funny, sexy read. I’m really picky when it comes to friends to lovers trope, so I was kinda scared to read this one but I’m really glad I did. I loved the chemistry between the two characters and how they were so in tune with each other.
Kit is a late night TV show host and has been friends with Kane for five years. When her best friend and cousin dies and leaves her a list of things she wants her to do, she chooses Kane to help her check off all those items. The list was definitely interesting and funny to see her complete. She’s always been attracted to him and one or two item definitely makes her realise that she wants him.
Kane works for the construction team of the show and has secretly been attracted and in love with kit but never made the move fearing it will hurt their friendship. But when asks him to help her, he can’t help but think of risking that. He’s the perfect blend of alpha and sweet. I loved how much he cared about her and was always there for her.
Kit deserved everything I had, even if that meant the things I kept wrapped up tight.
“Hell, kit,” I told her, keeping my voice quiet as I reached for her, thumb moving over her cheek. “I’m not a sad sack. It’s just...when you love someone, everybody else is a cheap substitute.” I sat up, kissing her forehead before I held her face still. “I only wanted the woman I loved. I only ever wanted you.”
I mean how can a woman not fall in love when a guy says things like this. I enjoyed the push and pull between the two, almost giving in to their chemistry. The sex between them was scorching. The banter was funny and filled with so much tension. My favourite was definitely kit, I loved how strong and bold she was. She never shied away from asking what she wanted. She was the perfect balance of sassy and sweet.
I’m definitely looking forward to Kiel’s story who is Kane’s younger brother. Both of these authors are definitely on my radar. ♥️

I love Chelle Bliss so when I seen this was a new release with another author I thought why not.
It had a hot alpha who ahs been in love with his best friend for a couple of years. When her cousin/best friend dies & gives her a bucket list to do Kane is the only person that Kit can think to help her with it.
The pull between the two was intense once they started going over the friendship line.

This was a super quick read and I enjoyed the friends to lovers storyline. Kane is so protective over Kit and I liked seeing him come to her rescue and help her out with whatever she needed. The bucket list was a fun idea, though I felt for Kit that her cousin/best friend passed away. Seeing Kane realize how much he cares for Kit was the best part of the book and the sexy scenes were pretty steamy.
The narrators on the audio did a great job and helped me speed through this.

Nailed Down is an enthralling and beautiful friend to lovers’ story by Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler . This is a story that is all about the slow burn so don’t expect insta anything to happen in this book. This is a friends to lovers story that is filled with tons of angst. Kit and Kane are best friends and coworkers. When Kit ‘s cousin dies, she leaves her with a bucket list to tick off and the only person she can see doing this with her is BFF, Kane. And its this bucket list that kicks off this intense and steamy read. I mean, how do you go from friends to lovers. I could tell you but the only way to find out is pick up this fabulous story and find out how Kane finally shows the unaware Kit how he feels. Kit is a complex woman and she love Kane but is afraid to rock the boat. So she pushes her feelings aside and just is friends only. How do they overcome the obstacles ? You have to read because this book will rock your world. This book is one that tissues is needed but also a cold glass of whatever because the steam factor is thru the roof. Kane is definitely a dreamy book boyfriend and he was there for Kit during the difficult time she was going thru. Kane is , OMG, he is definitely all alpha so keep that in mind because if you are like me and love alpha males, this will make you love him even harder. Kit is one lucky gal. The witty banter between these friends is wonderful and the plot had me hooked and entertained from start to finish. I can't wait for Kiel's story next from these amazing authors!!!

I’ll be honest here so we’re on the same page. I recently, by recent I mean end of last year, read Takeover which is a sneak peak novella-ish introduction to Acquisition by Chelle. I didn’t give it a glowing review because I honestly wasn’t impressed.
I am so happy I was given the opportunity to give Chelle another chance and I am also proud of myself for not passing on this opportunity based on a previous let down. I cannot begin to explain to y’all how impressed I am with Nailed Down. Hands down, one of the best romance reads out there. Everyone needs to give this one a whirl. Chelle and Eden have such a way with words. It’s legitimately magical.
This is a story of friends to lovers with such an angsty, frustratingly sexy path. Nailed Down is seductive torture. It was so hard to put down, I didn’t want to stop reading! I even read it while in the waiting room at the doctors office because I couldn’t put it down. #NoShame
Nailed Down is a contemporary romance meaning it’s here and now, this day and age. I am a huge fan of HGTV, my fiance makes fun of me for it, so I loved that the main characters were the two leads on a renovation show. I really, really enjoyed that Kane was a handyman, not your average billionaire, CEO, you know the type.
I would say the bucket list left for Kit is half sexy, half normal. The whole thing isn’t drop your panties crazy, but parts are. Can we also talk about how primal Kane is though? When they say friends to lovers they mean it. Kane is so protective of Kit, I don’t understand why it took them so long to see what was right in front of them.
I am so glad these ladies decided to turn this into a series of three books. I can’t wait to keep reading. They have me hooked!

Wow!!! Chelle and Eden nailed it! On the first part, I was not that impressed but as the story goes, I started to get addicted to Kit and Kane!!! The story is good and I was easily pulled in into the story. The characters on the other hand, they are easy to like. Overall, the book is good and I loved it!

Hot steamy
It started out slow for me. Something that has never happened before with Chelsea books. But soon I was kidding it more. I loved the connection between the two. Though I would of liked them connecting sexually a little sooner.

Kane can admit his wrong doings, “heck no,” I told her, squeezing her fingers back. “That was all me. I, uh, guess I’m a little territorial about you.” I think Kane gives his woman mixed signals at times, "Kane scrubbed his fingers through his hair, sighing as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Heck, Kit, I’m not saying you didn’t turn me on.” Kane just finds his woman adorable at times, “no,” she said, fingering my chest again. I liked how she touched me like she did it without even thinking about it. “It’s just…we’ve been effing for hours now.” I liked this book, Kane was such an alpha man.

I have to say …. This was a damn good friends to lovers story. For me, it was the slow burn that made it so much better. It was anticipatory. The story builds and builds and builds towards Kit and Kane crossing that line and it just felt very suspenseful. They were also very likable characters so that reinforced the happy feeling I had throughout the entire journey.
I gotta say, I loved the whole bucket list plot-line. It was fresh and different and it really played well with the slow burn of the story-line. These two authors worked very well with this book. I’ve read Chelle Bliss before, but not Eden Butler and I’m impressed at how seamless the story felt while reading. I honestly couldn’t tell one voice from another and that’s key in collaborative work. That means the authors are in sink and work well off each other therefor will deliver a good product.

One of the BEST friends to lovers romance reads I have read so far this year!
I am not sure what I loved more...the anticipation of what was to come or the VERY in control Kane! Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler have SLOW BURN down to an art. My heart literally ached at a couple turns because of the fight Kane was putting up. "GIVE IN!" I wanted to shout! I didn't. People were sleeping. It would have been weird.
A bucket list is what really ignites this intense turn from friends to lovers, which I think was a fabulous idea! Because how do you say no when you are trying to fulfill the wishes of someone you cared so much about!
The best part of all this for me was Kiel, how he put the pressure on to Kane to make a move. Loved! Kane's possessiveness really shone when Kiel stepped in to the picture and I enjoyed that look on Kane.
Listen for me this story was all about Kane. I love his dominating, Alpha personality all while he kept fighting being with Kit. He made this story for me.

Reading time for me was a little over 3 hours. Devoured.every.word. Yep. Binged it all in one sitting.
What am I looking forward to the most? Kiel's story. There are some other characters that could be developed as well and I wouldn't mind reading those stories if they ever came to fruition. We will see!

I think it is amazing when 2 authors collaborate which in turns introduces an new to me author. Been a fan of Bliss's alpha males for years and can't wait to read more from Butler.
When friends to lovers is written well with just the right amount of sweetness, chemistry and angst, you have a winner. Kane & Kit have been friends for years and have been in love with the other for just as long. But why hide it from the other. When Kit's cousin dies, leaving a bucket list, Kane is there to help with it. Why, because he loves her. Sometimes you just want to reach in and smack each of the MC's on the side of the head and say open your eyes and your heart.
Great job and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler! A great collaborating duo! I loved this book. I was drawn in right from the start and then it turned into an "adulting schmulting day" for me. I could not put my kindle down. Who cared about the dishes in the sink or the pile of laundry outside of the laundry room? Not this book whore. I was glued to my kindle to see if and when Kane was going to give in to his feelings for Kit.
I liked the backstory of a home improvement show. I also liked that it wasn't the main focus and didn't really draw too much attention to that aspect of the story. My favorite thing, though, was the bucket list that Kit has to complete. There was one particular item on the list that Kane swoops in to save the day on that had me swooning and even shedding a few tears of happiness for Kit.
I can't wait for Kiel's story next!

This story...You guys...you have to read it! It's a friends to lovers story with lots of OMG if you guys don't get it together I'm going to kick you moments. It all starts with a list and ends with the greatest HEA ever! Kit and Kane have this awesome connection that you just know would be explosive if they gave into it, but neither will because of their friendship. But the list isn't something Kane is willing to let someone else help her with. So....as the list grows more "adventurous" the more things start to unravel. Can Kane get over the fear of losing Kit's friendship and take what they both want? This is one smoking hot book! I can't wait to see what the rest of this series goes!

I think this is one of the best "friends to lovers" books I've ever read.

This was an awesome story written by two kick a** writers, Eden Butler & Chelle Bliss, so you get double the epicness. The first page had me laughing (as did quite a few other places), and completely sucked me in. I totally fell in love with Kane, even though he drove me crazy at times. But you truly can’t help but love him in all his growly alpha intenseness. And Kitty, well she’s just amazing, facing her fears (even when she doesn’t want to), and working through her list while trying to figure out that “thing” between her & her bestie. I loved the characters, I loved the journey, and I loved the off the charts chemistry & heat! Holy Wow was it intense!! You need to get this and read this now!!

Nailed Down is a beautiful friends to lovers story. Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler have done an amazing job in capturing two friends coming together in what is an emotional time in anyones life.
They have given us an emotional read, but in a fun, flirty way to show that life should be grabbed by the balls and lived.
Kane is one of the face's in a local cable channel DIY show. He's ex military and runs his crew like he did his men in the service. He's well respected, but with his "I am the storm" he's also feared by some. Not wanting to piss him off and have him gunning for them.
The one person who never feels his wrath is his partner in crime on the show and best friend... Kit. He's softer when it comes to her, but don't mistake that as weakness because he is most definitely all Alpha male when it comes to Kit. He's just scared to show that to her in case it ruin's his friendship, but he wants so much more with her.
The unexpected loss of Kit's cousin has kept her away from work. Now she's back, and at her cousin's last wishes. She's asking for Kane's help, to complete a bucket list her cousin as set for her. Should be no problem, right? Until he read's the full list and Oh Hell he's in for one hell of a ride!!
How is he supposed to keep his feelings hidden to protect their friendship. When some things on the list will change everything. And over his dead body would he allow anybody to help her complete the list!!
Nailed Down is wonderfully written, I was captivated and invested in their story from the beginning. The characters are fun and witty and I had a great time reading Nailed Down. I'm really looking forward to the next two books from this duo.
