Love Thyself: The Message from Water III

Rate this book
“The common language that the people of the world have been seeking is found in water crystals. Water speaks for what is in our mind. Water awakens the subconscious memory in each person. . . . I now know why water is indispensable to the phenomenon of life, and why alternative therapies exist and why they’re effective. Water helped me understand religion and prayer and gave me a clue to understanding the nature of energy. It helped me understand the relationship between humanity and the cosmos. It gave me a clue to help me understand what dimensionality is. I could come one step closer to understanding the eternal theme of humanity that asks where we come from, why we are here, and what happens when we die.         “Thus, for the release of this, the third volume in my series of The Message from Water, I decided to choose what the world most urgently needs at present as a theme. That is, of course, the need to eliminate war and terrorism throughout the world. The theme I have chosen is ‘prayer.’ When I thought about it more deeply, I realized that prayer is most effectively sent when each person in the world raises their energy of love by imagining a scene where the peoples of the world are living in peace. I’ve been taught this through the process of asking water many questions.         “For this reason, the title of this book is ‘Love Thyself.’ First you must shine with positive, high-spirited vibrations, and be full of love. In order to do that, I think it’s important to love, thank, and respect yourself. If that’s the case, then each of those vibrations will be sent out into the world and the cosmos, and the great symphony of that harmonic vibration will wrap our planet in waves of love that serve to cherish our Heaven-granted lives. This is the message from water.”

I got this a Christmas gift from my husband or my sister-i think? A few christmas ago, that's why I do not recall exactly. But it is a beautiful book and the work he has done is very intriguing. It shows photographic evidence of positive vs negative energy and how both can impact the tiny teeny crystals in water-how they shape and react differently. Very interesting work especially since as humans we are composed of much water. Imagine all the ramifications of that! Beautiful photography too.

fascinating.. Our home is 70% water as well as these temporary bodies. Remarkable how when you really ponder what our bodies are made of the answer could easily be WATER.

Hence as Master Bruce Lee says "“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.”

If water can transform in these beautiful crystals so shall you.. LOVE IMAGINE JOY 369 :)

This was a really interesting book. I had the bilingual version and enjoyed reading both the Japanese and English (not that I could read all of the Japanese but it was fun to try). I'm not a believer in this kind of thing in general, but the data was convincingly presented. I'd like to believe it.

I'm going to be more specific now, but since I no longer have the book (sent it to an interested party in South Africa -- worldwide interest!), I will probably not make a very convincing critique. Nevertheless, here it goes. Emoto documents well that exposure to certain kinds of music causes water crystals to become disorganized. Fine, I believe that, but I want to know what the physical reason behind it is. Is it the volume? (I no longer remember if he controlled for volume, sorry). Is it certain harmonics, or certain single frequencies? Is it the instrumentation (again, harmonics, or perhaps electronic versus acoustic music, and what are the physical differences in the sound waves there?) Is is the speed of the music, and if so, what is the underlying difference transmitted to water in that case? What, specifically, is it about the music that can affect something on the molecular level?

Emoto showed that exposure to hostile words affects water crystals similarly. Again, I need more information. I personally do not believe that water has intelligence and is thus conditioned to understand which words are hostile and which are not, as humans are. So I need a different explanation. As I recall, it was not just spoken words but also written words that led to disorganized crystal structures. Spoken word analysis might show that certain phonemes (and hence frequencies) are damaging, and that would be really interesting, to see if the same sounds occur across various languages in their hostile vocabularies. But written words? I don't believe that hostility emanates from paper to water. I need more of an explanation for that phenomenon. I believe the phenomenon could exist, and I believe hostility is damaging to everything, but I really want more of an expalanation to the molecular mechanics. Intelligence of water is not convincing to me. So, I enjoyed the book, hope it's data is an actual representation, but I want to see more analysis, that's all.

When I first collected this book from the library, I was a bit disappointed by the meagre amount of text, as compared to his other books. (It contains parallel Japanese and English text.) However, halfway through the book I found I was thoroughly enjoying it.

The main content of the book is marvellous water crystal photos accompanied by short texts. The basic theme is prayer and its effect on water as shown by the water crystals. Various prayer experiments on water are described, and we are shown the resulting crystals. It turns out that prayer with the subjects putting their palms together in the traditional manner forms more beautiful crystals than when they hold hands in a circle while praying.

Emoto encourages us to examine our feelings when examining the photos. The photos of the crystal-making attempts in polluted water felt evil to me, and often seemed to bear a distinct and diabolical face. This was also true of water exposed to negative words.

The pure spirit of the author makes this book a joy to read. (There is a commentary at the end of the book, where he explains his thoughts and work.)

The book is entitled "Love thyself", Emoto's message being that if first we love ourselves, then we will subsequently be able to love others, and eventually the whole world will be transformed by love.

I thoroughly recommend this book!

(Disclaimer: I received this as a gift.) Bunkum, hogwash, codswaddle, hokum -- by whatever name you call it, this, like Emoto's other offerings, is it. Emoto claims to have "proof" that intention causes measurable effects in the natural world; showing up, he says, in the formation of ice crystals allegedly influenced by prayer or by words written on a container in which water was stored. True scientific method (consistently reproducible results obtained by other than the originator, double-blind studies, etc.) is absent and there is strong evidence of selection bias, wishful thinking, and creative interpretation of results. For the record, I count myself both a critical thinker/skeptic AND a believer in the effects of prayer, having seen results in my own experience. I do not, however, mistake anecdote for scientific proof. It is a disservice to those seriously attempting to research and document experiments in this area to give credence to Emoto, just because he offers up some emotionally appealing and pretty photos.

Famous scientist who proved that our thoughts can change our surroundings. Shows what happens to water under a microscope when certain thoughts are directed at it. Makes the connection that if our thoughts can do these things to water, they can also do them to our bodies which are over 70% water. Bad thoughts have a negative effect and postive thoughts have a positive one. Breathtaking photos!

Amazing!! If you watched the movie "What the Bleep do we Know" you've seen the photographs of crystals in water, and how we affect the waters crystals. It is groundbreaking to think our thoughts have such power. Now if only we can use it for good!

Very interesting and a brief intro to Emoto's work. Enjoyable if for no other reason than the pictures. 3 1/2 stars.
