Dr. Emoto's research into the vibratory of effects of emotion on water continues to fascinate me. He takes it a step further in this beautiful book by matching the water crystals created by music with the music that created them. Through combining the two, he has crafted a form of "music therapy." By contemplating the images and the music at the same time, you are communicating positive vibrations to your being through both your eyes and ears.

Dr. Emoto records the different beneficial effects that he believes each composition has under the picture of the water crystal that it created. I would be interested to see any studies that have been conducted with this method. Even if it has only a placebo effect, it seems like this type of music therapy could be useful to patients with either physical or mental ailments... or both! (in addition to or perhaps in conjunction with more traditional treatments)

I love this author's series of shiny happy water crystals. Basically, the Japanese scientists expose water to a variety of thoughts, words, sounds, and intentions (good and bad for measure) and then take photos of how water molecules structurally react to such stimuli. The results are astounding -- when subjected to positive, loving, hopeful and helpful thoughts the water crystals glow brightly and take on beautiful snow-flake like forms (and when subjected to negativity, dark thoughts and words, the water molecules take on jagged, dim forms!). Seeing as how people (and the earth!) are about 2/3 water -- the series of books by this author provides a very telling statement of the power we each have to recreate our own circumstances physically and emotionally at any time via the loving glow of positive energy and prayerful thoughts.
This book is accompanied by two CDs of classical music, and discusses the effect each piece of music has on the water molecules, and in turn what effect this has on the body physically and psychologically. I recently shared this book with a Montessori class I spoke to about energy healing and it was a joy to share with the kids. This is beneficial info to all!

This is more than a book, it is an experience. The photographs of each water crystal are accompanied by an audio recording of the song to which it was exposed. Included is a history of the song's origins and intention, and its particular hado, or vibration - with suggestions for healing particular ailments or areas of the body. The miraculous and malleable properties of water translate to our bodies, and these images and stories evoke resonant ideas within our own minds. This book is a great tool for mixing audio/visual intentions into a meditation for health and for healing.

I don't know how much I believe about the water crystal research but when I listen to The Moldau, it immediately transports me to a peaceful, serene place. Maybe there is something to be said about Emoto's ideas.

One of my all time favorite books. I got to meet Dr Emoto when he came to Tampa Bay a few years ago before he died. He was a very humble gentle soul. I refer to this book and Dr. Emoto's research frequently to pass on this information to others.

My conclusions from his research is, we are all connected by water. We are made up of mostly water. Water is empathetic and provides a mirror that we would benefit from paying attention to.

Dr. Emoto and his book are also featured in the movie, What the Bleep Do We Think We Know.
