After While, Crocodile is written in language a young child can understand and is a valuable resource to families with young children facing the death of a family member. It is especially appropriate for families with a member experiencing a terminal illness. Reading the book can help prepare the child for what is going to happen. The book is well written and beautifully illustrated.
