It was the weekend before Thanksgiving. More than 100,000 fans were jammed inside Michigan Stadium, on their feet, to witness a heated football rivalry that had spanned more than 100 years. As the football was kicked into the snow-filled sky, they were about to get the shock of their lives, as long-foretold Bible prophecy came to pass before their very eyes, causing many to vanish into thin air without a trace. But what they soon realized was that it reached far beyond Michigan Stadium. Chaos of unimaginable proportions ensued worldwide. Shock, fear and panic filled each heart and mind. It was just the beginning of things to come, as life as humanity had known it was forever changed in the blink of an eye...

Enjoyed

I haven't given much thought into how things would be after the rapture, but the authors rendition on it was good. Glad I won't be here to really see how it will be!!

Excellent!!

For some strange reason , I never fully realized , understood or appreciated the impact that the disappearance of all these people would have on the entire world. This book has been quite the eye opener. It gives new meaning to Christ Followers about the urgency to pray for our loved ones and friends. Thank you Patrick Higgins.

A don't miss read.

As I stated before, the decision to follow Jesus Christ is THE most important thing you will/ will not do this side of the grave. After reading this series, your eyes will be opened. Great series. Can't wait to start book 3.

Just finished the first two books and am glued to it! Already downloaded the third book, but decided to let everyone know to grab their own quickly! I was raised an old world Catholic and by age 18, I felt so tied down, I actually ran away from it! Now as a born again Christian, I am beginning to understand!

Gripping

A real page turner! I love the diversity of the characters and back stories of them. All so different, yet they all share a common thread. I can't wait to see how they develop. I would recommend this book to all Christians, to anyone that likes a fast paced action story, to those that may have questions about the ends times and what God's word tells us. If you believe one part of the bible why wouldn't you believe all of it? I know I don't want to be left behind.

Must read

I read the Left Behind series many years ago. This is following in some pretty big footsteps. For anybody sitting playing church it will be a kick in the pants and solid wakeup call. The description of the Catholic Church in Latin America is spot on. I see it at every festival for local saints and The Virgin of Guadalupe. The church pushes the worship of these idols. What is funny is that the people consider themselves as Catholic and they label me as Christian. Looking forward to the whole series.

Have you wondered about the aftermath of the Rapture!

The chaos in this book is so hard to imagine.....but it is predicted in God's Word....The Bible! Praying this series will be read by many!

Ignorance of the many

Just as the first installment of this series, the continuation in book two did not disappoint. It is amazing that certain so called leaders of churches, have no idea what happened. The true word of God has already told us what would take place. But yet they spread sympathy for those who "vanished" and gave thanks for those remaining. Looking forward to book 3.

Had to leave a review!

I hate to admit, it, but I have been really slack on leaving reviews on the books I read. But I have enjoyed this book so much, I just have to say so. The author let's you know how he feels about the subject, that he is just giving what he thinks will happen. In the book, he is always being very considerate and respectful when talking about other religions. I don't know much about other religions, but he gives enough info that I have a better understanding. He has me thinking about my own life and how I have been slack in my faith. So many of us have been. That will change. I don't want to be like his characters in the book that were left behind. Thank you for these books, can't wait to read the rest!

Just finished the second installment. Having read many end times novels, I must say nothing is as descriptive and real-like as this story. I couldn't read it fast enough. And when I wasn't reading it, all I could do is think about reading it and share my thoughts with close friends. I already purchased the third installment and hope to start reading it tonight after work. Time to put my seat belt on again.

I just finished reading this second installment of the Chaos In The Blink Of An Eye series. I honestly couldn't turn the pages fast enough, though I read it on Kindle. It is a fast-paced, mind-numbing story, and I hunger to know what happens next. I can't wait for the third installment to be released this week. I will surely be one of the first to read it.

I enjoyed reading the book

but most theologians believe, according to the bible, those left behind will not be saved because they will be deceived and believe a lie. I would like to believe my loved ones would be saved after the rapture but if they have already hardened their hearts against the gospel , I am afraid they would be more inclined to believe the lie.

Thruth :

I ran across this book accidentally, but glad I did. The writing is very simple to follow, but the contents will hopefully touch many hearts. Thanks for putting into writing what our whole world needs to hear

This was a good book. It's #2 in the series which begins with a prequel that is #1. The prequel needs to be read to get the full picture of what is happening and to know the characters that continue in this second book. In the beginning of this book, there is a very brief "re-run" of the Rapture scene from the first book and then it goes directly to what is happening with the characters we were introduced to in the prequel. The U.S. president is one of them and we see him floundering in knowing how to handle this never-before-experienced loss of many millions of people and all children. We also follow the confusion and various responses of a number of other people as well. As you might imagine, some realize what has happened and turn to Jesus, while others continue to reject Him. While the author covered everything well, there was a slight feeling of disconnect with a bit of lack of intense feeling. I did begin to feel a little more invested in the characters as the book progressed. There was a lot of foreshadowing for the upcoming events that would happen in the tribulation and about who the anti-Christ would be. Thebook seems to stay pretty true to the Bible, which I do appreciate.

I’m definitely going to finish the series, but there a couple of things that bother me:

(1) The age of accountability for children is confusing. In the first book, it was implied that it’s 8 years old..that all kids 7 and under were raptured. In the second book, something is mentioned about 5 year olds. My point is, I don’t believe that 8 year olds will be held accountable. I’m not sure 9 and 10 year olds will be either. I don’t know the age of accountability...and I don’t think anyone else does, either. I personally believe it is different for each child. I found it disturbing that the author would imply that kids over the age of 7 are accountable.

(2) After the rapture, the world will definitely be in chaos. It will be horrible. But that can be said in only so many ways before becoming redundant in the books. I would like to read more about the characters and what they are going through.

All that being said, I do like the books in general and I will continue to read them.

Book one of this series sets up the disappearance of millions of people and the immediate aftermath of what happens to a specific group of individuals.

This book follows the logistics of what happens around the world in the aftermath. It covers more than the missing people and dead bodies. It covers the emotional turmoil as a result of what the story terms the "phenomenon." Think Covid on steroids with 9/11 happening in every major and minor city, that's what this book delivers. It will be hard to put the book down as you take in the possibilities of what will happen when the real disappearance happens as foretold in the Bible. If this doesn't stop you from thinking about your own future, you must be brain dead.

Seriously, pick up this book today, but clear your schedule.

Aftermath

This KU library selection covers the time immediately following the great disappearance. While many vanished in a blink of the eye worldwide, all children under a certain age are among the missing. In the US, many teens and adults are also gone, unlike some countries where only young children were taken. Theories of how and why are being investigated, but no one seems to know with certainty what happened. World leaders are evaluating the consequences of this "tragic" event, but only one is confident of the future of the new world order created by calamities no one foresaw. Book three is up next.

yeah you should

The title, “yeah you should” means you should read this. It really opens your eyes to the chaos of this world when the rapture occurs. Now if you’re reading this and you’re not a believer or you don’t believe in the rapture, it’s still eye-opening. It gives you a chance to open your mind, and to ask questions once you’re done or even while you’re reading the book. I’ve asked questions of my pastor while I’m reading the series. I’m reading this for enjoyment, because I enjoy the story, I believe the story, and it’s always fascinating, and this just puts the whole thing into perspective as far as what could be expected to happen to those left behind.

Hard to put down

This was a good continuation from the first book and was just as intriguing!! Put yourself in the position of those left behind in this series. Scary isn't it? But ot doesnt have to be. Very good detail of how the main characters are feeling. Very good story plot that is connected to Bible prophecy. I would still recommend this book to tweens to all ages of adults. Its humbling to know this was all written out for us in God's word. We just need to take the time to study it!!

You you can believe this could really happen. You will enjoy reading this

I gave this book a four because its really short, only 199 pages. I think more of the characters could have expanded revealing more twists. Issac for example I sure he's going to show up again, but do what? Enough to make me move on to the next book. But it does get to point. I especially like how Patrick Higgins writes what the characters are thinking one thing and saying another. I think I will enjoy reading this entire series.

end times

It seems there are dozens if not hundreds of end times authors. Patrick Higgins first book in the series was slow and wordy. He seems to have tightened up his writing in book 2. The players on the world stage are just beginning to appear as the book of revelations plays out. Will the world understand what’s happening? Will Brian, Jacqueline, Craig, and the others see the truth before it’s too late? They think the worst has happened but they have no idea of the horrors that lie ahead.

On a Saturday in late November, in a blink of an eye, the Rapture happens.

I enjoyed most of this book. Sometimes it slipped into bringing out a point the author wanted to get into the book. Other than that I was into the happenings.

The rapture will happen. I hope it's while I'm still on earth. But even if I'm not here, I'll still be involved. "The dead shall rise first, then we who remain will meet them in the air." What an exciting hope.

What Do You Believe?

I will quickly say that this is intriguing reading if the subject interests you. I love the Lord Jesus very much, and I enjoy most books about the rapture and end times. I would encourage you to get a Bible and check the scriptures being quoted. There are errors in interpretation that could be construed as down right false. I will try to get all of the books, I just caution one to read the Book they are quoting from too.

Twelve?

I’m loving this series - I loved “Left Behind” as well (bound to be comparisons). I’ve already bought all the 7 that are out (that’s all I’ve seen anyway) and already dread reading the last page of book 7 because I’ll have to wait! Yes, I’m reading them that fast because they’re SO good. Before anyone asks, no, I don’t think the book was “preachy” at all. But then, I’m a Christian and am agreeing down the line with the writing. ;)
