Excellent! I loved reading this book so much I had a hard time putting it down. I enjoyed following Ethan and Mia's story as Ethan tries to find redemption from the past and move toward his future with Mia.

This is an excellent story that has lots to offer the reader in terms of intrigue and passion, and both complement the overall enjoyment of the book. In addition, there is the mystery surrounding Ethan’s stupid mistake and why he is in self-imposed exile. When Ethan meets Mia, is it Fate’s way of saying it is time for him to once again rejoin the world. I really enjoyed reading this book and would have no hesitation in recommending it.
Mia’s interview with Ethan, a young, reclusive billionaire, didn’t go as well as she expected; instead of interviewing him, Ethan only wants to talk about her and she ends up telling him her life story. While Ethan listens patiently and asks intelligent questions, this is not what Mia came for. With no intention of leaving a job half-finished, and knowing this is her only time with Ethan, she makes a decision; Mia’s attraction to Ethan makes her break every rule, but in the morning Ethan is gone, leaving behind something quite unexpected. Ethan lives in a mansion at the foot of Remmel Mountain. It is made to look like a cabin that blends in with the surroundings; it is both his safe house and his prison. Ethan is there for a reason, with only his dog, Jones, as his companion. Ethan reflects back on the night he spent with Mia; then he gets a call from his neighbour Shelly to say Mia is looking for him. Ethan doesn’t normally like to be found, but Mia is special and he doesn’t want to turn her away; has Fate brought her back into his life for a reason? Mia is not sure what she is getting herself into, but is not willing to back down from a challenge; but there are two rules Ethan insists on. There is a reason Ethan doesn’t let himself get too close to anyone, yet with one look at Mia he wants to break all his rules; let someone into his life, but he knows he shouldn’t. Ethan is a man who wants to keep the world away and yet he is still very much connected to it; this is a contradiction and complexity that Mia doesn’t fully understand. Meanwhile, for as much as Ethan pretends he wants to be alone, wants to punish himself, he knows he is not the kind of person to stay locked up forever; all because of Mia and now she is with him, like they were meant to be together. Ethan is basically a stranger, but during their time together, while they wait out a storm, they find an easy rapport. Ethan eventually trusts Mia sufficiently to let her know the truth; that he has been living out in self-imposed exile, trying to pick up the pieces of his broken life. When Mia confesses the secret she has been keeping to herself, Ethan knows it is now time to rejoin the world. Nevertheless, Ethan’s past is coming after him no matter what, but this time Mia and Ethan have an unlikely ally in Shelly; she is not all she appears to be. I am leaving a voluntary review after receiving an ARC of this book.
This interview has been scheduled for a while now, yet there sits Mia waiting for the guy she is to be interviewing. Not really sure what he actually looks like, but she knows it is feeling like he is standing her up. The interview is a favor for her boss, who happens to be friends with this guy. Just a few more minutes and Mia will leave. But all of that changed the moment the most handsome, rugged, delicious man walked in.
Why is this happening. The interview was not something that Ethan wanted to do and really won't be doing. His friend asked as a favor. Ethan just wants to be left alone, he lives in a solitude of darkness and guilt. No one should know the kind of person he is, he has a very negative set of mind about himself. Arriving late to do this interview wasn't really planned but neither is his attraction to the beauty sitting there waiting for him.
Drinks start this "interview" off, and just as quick as the drink goes down, so does the interview. A little flirting between the two and just like that Ethan is leaving. Mia is drawn to him, and the two of them are on fire. An eagerness between them keeps them drawn together, at least for the night. Mia wakes up alone, well except for the note. Neither want to admit what was shared is too good for just once. Neither can get each other out of their daily thoughts.
A month passes and Ethan gets a call from a local telling him he has a visitor. Nobody knows where he live, except for her. He asks the local the name of his visitor. It's Mia. On the guise of finishing the interview Mia tracks Ethan down. Remembering all of what he told her that night, which was not much, and here she is. They attraction draws them to one another like a magnet. Mia has something else to share with Ethan, the real reason for her to just show up.
Once she is in the cabin, there is a bad snow storm, very odd events happening, and a whole lot of passion. Little by little these odd things happening are becoming bigger things. Finally after not being able to hide his secret anymore, Ethan opens up and shares it all with Mia. She knows who he really is, not who he feels he is, and they are in this together. Since Ethan shared his secret, it is time for Mia to share hers. She is scared to tell him, and shocked with his response. Big bad things are beginning to happen in the mean time. Ethan is being confronted, and more secrets are coming forward.
It is time to run and it is time to face their passion and feelings. Neither is willing to let the other one go, no matter what. With resolve, determination, a bit of stubbornness, and lots of passion keep this couple moving forward, side by side. They are getting to walk in their happy ever after together, after all the trials they go through, and it is a big time trial, their love endures, grows and moves them further into their happy ever after.

He Built His Own Prison For Himself!
B. B. Hamel is a terrific author who pens the most beautifully written stories. Her exceptional command of the English language enhances her storylines all the more and creates the perfect atmospheres and descriptions for her characters. In this story we meet feisty Mia, a journalist, who is sent by her boss to interview Ethan who is a mutli billionaire who was a very successful businessman until he seemed to ‘drop off the face of the earth’ when a tragic accident happens at his firm and seven men are killed . Mia is intrigued by the lack of real info about him available on the Net and knows what she needs to find out.The attraction between the two of them is sky high and at the end of the interview they end up in his bedroom. Passion beyond anything either had felt before occurred but the next day he is gone. But he has left a part of him with her! Two months later she has to find him and she ends up in the mountainous wilderness at the beginning of a snow storm. But they are not alone [and I don’t mean his gorgeous dog by that remark!] All is not as it seems and they have to work together, with an unexpected ally, to save their lives! Will they all reach safety and can Ethan and Mia feel safe? To find out this and much more you need to get a copy of this book. I was given an advanced readers copy and leave my honest review of it here. However, I enjoyed it so much [especially the hot and steamy scenes and the suspense or will they or won’t they die] that I bought my own copy and have just finished reading the superb bonus materials too!!

Explosive chemistry, romantic and suspenseful, this is one of B.B. Hamel’s best! MUST-BUY!
B.B. Hamel writes the most beautiful love stories, and her latest, “Big Mountain Daddy” is one of her best. From the very first page, readers feel the tension, which flows from personal angst to sexual tension to the fear for one’s survival. Not only does Hamel give us main characters with an electric, combustible chemistry, Hamel also uses that POV switch per chapter that allows her readers to build a greater understanding of the main characters through their thoughts, actions, and fears. Thus, allowing her readers to gain an enhanced sense of identification with them as well. Even better, the reader is not told in the first introductory paragraphs that a character has this particular set of traits; instead, Hamel allows her reader to discover what there is to know about a character through the character’s own musings, actions, and dialogues between the different characters! Then Hamel adds to this path of discovery a plot that is both suspenseful and unusual, making every novel she writes a major page-turner, a book the reader cannot put down until the last page is read. Can you tell this reader/reviewer is a HUGE fan of B.B. Hamel’s writing? A great read about a recluse billionaire, Ethan, who lives in the mountains, staying away from everyone. He agrees to an interview with Mia, a journalist who is assigned to write about him since he disappeared from it all. Their meeting doesn’t go as planned for Mia, but there is something that draws her to him and they have one special night. Until a month later she tracks him down in the mountains and sees how he really lives but there is something or someone out to get him and now Mia is caught in the middle. Will they escape ?
A great read with steamy scenes and I loved Ethan, with everything he went through and now living as a prisoner by his own hand. I also liked the “games” they played while holed up and I burst out laughing with the clothes game along with a few other chuckles as they get to know each other better. These two clicked and I loved the reaction Ethan has when Mia tells him her secret. Only a a couple of questions that were left unanswered for me...why the open drawers in her room, what was the thump and why didn’t anything else happen during those times ?
Otherwise a great read that had me flipping the pages, with a few chuckles, a few suspenseful moments and an ending that had me smiling from ear to ear.

Ethan and Mia meet so that she can interview him, and they end up falling into bed. She's trying to get an interview with the lumber billionaire, he's out of self-imposed seclusion for the first time in a while. She ends up seeking him out a few months later and there are no fewer sparks than the first time, just a whole lot of secrets to work through.
Pros: I liked that this had a bit of an unexpected twist when it came to the past he's trying to get away from and that other characters were involved in a good way. I like the way they worked out the secrets between them, including a future baby, and didn't just implode like happens in some stories.
Cons: I don't get the Daddy thing. I just don't. It's weird to me, and maybe especially so when the female lead is pregnant with his baby.
Overall, a good, fast read just like I have come to expect from BB Hamel. Would recommend if you are a fan.

Can I have this mountain man's house?
Talk about a picturesque detailing leading into a mysterious, hot, dark, suspense building romantic adventure!
How could I go wrong with a book that had me curious from one page to the next! Alpha'd to the third degree, with side awe that's sweet and dark action, I wasn't aware of the time or anything going on around me!
This fast hard hitting storyline gives us Ethan, the billionaire recluse, living in his luxurious " Remmel Prison." When he agrees to an interview for a family friend he doesn't give the smart, coming up the ranks reporter Mia a whole lot to go on.
Always on guard, he has too many secrets that need to stay that way. She is a threat to them all.
Or is she? When she comes looking for him, he has two choices- Either way, he will lose something.
An amazeballs read from B.B. Hamel!

Terrific book about a billionaire but bought by the Russian mob
A young man wanted to buy a business and so borrowed money from some friends of his father. They were Russian communists. They set off a bomb trying to kill them
However, after punishing himself for the loss of his employees, he realizes they're after him to destroy him and everything he knows about them.
He has fallen for Mia, who is pregnant with his baby. After an exciting dramatic conclusion, they are on the run, publishing a book about it, and making restitution to the employees from his old business.
The book is well written, concise, and dramatic. The characters themselves are sexy, relatable, and intriguing to create the drama of the story that makes it believable.
I highly recommended this book for people who like a little suspense and spice in their reading material.

This a new storyline about a Mia and Ethan. Mia has been sent to write about Ethan who is a billionaire that for some reason has disappeared without a word a couple years ago. Mia has no idea what she’ll find once she arrives at Ethan’s and she sure did it expect to find a sexy man. The interview turns into a wonderful night a passion that is off the charts. Several weeks later Mia finds herself tracking Ethan down saying she needs to finish the article but in reality she has a secret. Little does Mia know but Ethan also has secrets but his can bring danger to them each. Will the secrets between them end their relationship or bring them together. I enjoyed the character, Jones! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This was a great new release from BB Hamel! I loved the mystery and intrigue that you get from the beginning. Ethan is a recluse hiding in the mountains and guarding his secrets and Mia is a city journalist lookimg to him for the next story. She definitely gets more than she bargains for and finds herself in a lot of danger. These two share passion, fear and freedom together making this a book that I was unable to put down! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

B.B Hamel has wrote a fantastic book that will keep you gripped to your kindle and turning those pages right up to the HEA.
I have just devoured Ethan and Mia's story and loved every minute of reading it.
This story is well written and definitely kept me on my toes throughout.
You get a fantastic chemistry, witty banter,secrets and get to see them fall in love.
You think you know what's Ethan's secret is and then you find out it's not that at all.
The ending was the best too.

I have just devoured Ethan and Mia's story and loved every minute of reading it.
This story is well written and definitely kept me on my toes throughout.
You get a fantastic chemistry, witty banter,secrets and get to see them fall in love.
You think you know what's Ethan's secret is and then you find out it's not that at all.
The ending was the best too.

Ethan is a billionaire with a past that he wants to remain a secret. Mia wants to interview Ethan and discover everything about him, but he's not talking and they end up in bed together. Now Mia, must go to his mountain to find him and tell him some shocking news. Neither of them knew what would happen next.
I like that Ethan is mysterious and when he finally tells his story, I feel sorry for him, holding in all the guilt. Mia, she is just want Ethan needs, she definitely test him. Shelley and the amazing dog were also enjoyable characters and I loved that at every turn there was some kind of mystery or drama. All in all a fantastic story!

I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. Never disappointed by B.B. Hamel! Mia interviews reclusive billionaire Ethan, who hides up in his mountain. One night of pleasure leaves Mia with a part of Ethan growing inside. She travels to a secluded mountain to find Ethan and get to know the father of the baby growing in her womb. Lots of steamy sex and intense pleasure occur while they are snowed in at Ethan’s secluded mountain luxury home hidden in the mountain. Life is good for them until Ethan’s past comes to finish the job a bomb failed to do. So good! Didn’t want to put it down!

To top it off there are strange things going on in and around Ethan’s home in the mountains when she goes back to see him in the mountains and tries to gather up her courage to tell him about the pregnancy. There is intense sexual chemistry between Ethan and Mia that is off the charts and they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. However, there are outside forces that keep disrupting their lives. This book is an edge of the seat read that will keep your blood pumping.

Great imaging and suspense

Mia is a hardworking journalist with no life, Ethan is a billionaire, self imposed recluse. We live out their initially meeting, separation, re-uniting, drama, heat, passion, imminent deaths, etc.
You will not regret reading this book if you have an open mind and additionally can appreciate an author taking a different route in conveying a romance novel.

This was a great read. This isn't just a straight forward romance, there are some twists and turns along the way. There are some things that I didn't see coming! The writing flows well, and I thought the characters were developed nicely. Ethan and Mia are good together, and their chemistry is hot! I wasn't a fan of hiding her "secret", because I never see a good reason for keeping that secret. Other than that I enjoyed the story, and I can't wait for what's next from this author.

What an action-packed roller coaster of a story! Ethan, a reclusive billionaire, and Mia, a journalist, are trapped in Ethan's mountain prison while a storm rages around them. Mia sought out Ethan for personal reasons, but it's her career that puts everything at risk. Ethan and Mia fall in love amidst deadly games played by those in Ethan's past, and their sex scenes sizzle, especially if you like a bit of Daddy kink. Unexpected secondary characters, which were great. Fun, adventurous afternoon read.

I loved the latest from B.B. Hamel! A chance at a story brings Mia looking for Ethan, but an explosive night together will bring her back to him. Ethan has shut himself off from the world believing he needs to punish himself for a mistaken choice he made and yet Mia will have him fighting to rejoin the world when she shows back up in his life after their one night together. I loved Mia an Ethan and the added layer that is his neighbor, the danger around them and even his goofy dog made this book even better. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.

Ethan is a billionaire who is hiding from his past and Mia is the journalist who tries to get an interview with him but Mia gets a night she will never forget. Ethan has been lonely for so long and once he has had Mia, she is all he thinks about. Can Mia get Ethan out of hiding? This story was great and I love the twists that I didn’t see coming. Enjoyable read and characters that I loved.

Mia wants to write a story on reclusive billionaire Ethan. He wants her in his bed. Mia ends up pregnant and when she tracks him down to tell him, will she? This is a fast-paced read with plenty of steam and lots of emotion. Ethan has a lot of secrets he isn’t telling her. Can she break down his walls? This read drew me in from beginning to end. I liked the characters as well as the story. A good read.

Loved this story. Mia has to do an interview on Ethan and why he disappeared 2 years ago. Their chemistry is instant and intense. After he haves her, he decides he doesn't want to do the interview and tells her to write whatever. Ms Hamel had rocked the Big Mountain Daddy with her wonderful writing skills. This book comes with amazing plot and hot love scenes, it is a love story between a billionaire, Ethan, who is hiding in mountain away from his past and Mia, a journalist who wants to interview him. But what happens when the heat is high as the meet and Mia ends up pregnant and what can she do when there is more secrets Ethan holding on. These two characters were great. He secluded himself for atonement and she had a secret. Throughout the book there is intrigue, mystery, and romance. Can he realize that he deserves to be happy before it's too late? Will she ruin everything with her secret? The bad guy, turned not bad guy was a shock, and I wasn't sure if the person could be trusted until the end. Great book with steamy scenes and intrigue to keep you turning the page.

This is a hot, sexy and very entertaining read. Features a very well written story that has a fun plot. The book reads easily and hold your interest. The characters are complex and have great chemistry. With witty banter, drama and secrets for added spice, Big Mountain Daddy is a very pleasurable read. Well written. Not an easy situation for the main male character to be in. No real solution to the situation. This was well portrayed by Ms. Hamel yet too, she included a redemption for this man in the female lead. Both very strong characters. Good plot twists. Nicely done!
