Years ago I read 'Maggie' and remember loving it. Reading this book reminded me of how well Lena Kennedy introduces different characters but this time I found as the story went on, there were too many characters to try and remember and I was constantly having to think back to who was in which family. Towards the end of the book I found it all dragging on and I feel Lena Kennedy also thought this because the very last couple of pages were very rushed indeed!

Not my normal reading But mildly enjoyable About how families are always linked. Set before the war this follows 4 families and their struggles to survive while travelling all over the world searching for people they have loved and thought lost.

A nice read but not one of Lena Kennedy's best stories. Like many of her books, it was very well written, the character development was fantastic and I enjoyed reading about the lives of each person, however Eve's Apples had far too many coincidences and the story was a little too far fetched at times, because of this,I wouldn't rate it any higher.
