I love the story of Rachel and Leah! Shows how bad comparison can be, and how strong can also be. Important to be vigilant about the small choices we have. Didn't like the Day 5 optional quizzes, didn't think they added so much felt like a teen magazine.

I wasn't sure what rating to give this Bible study, as I usually prefer studies & commentaries that fall more on the intellectual side. But this study did open my eyes to some things I hadn't thought about before in the familiar story of Rachel & Leah, and it also did lead me to work through some important things in my heart during my individual study times and the discussion meetings with women at my church.

Overall, this was a study well worth my time, as the struggle of comparison is so common and insidious.

Excellent in-depth study of the story of Rachel and Leah. I used this to help lead a group of ladies through the study of “Why Her?” by Nicki. It helped me to see more details of this comparison struggle, in real lives, that I’ve not picked up on before. This was a study that helped me to see the comparison struggle in my own life and relate to other women of the Bible and today. I would certainly recommend this study!

I loved this Bible study! My first one by this author and I’ve really enjoyed how much reflection she has us do in each week’s work. It’s not your typical “and how does this make you feel” topical study - but it really makes you think about how comparison is something we do find ourselves dealing with daily.

I really enjoyed studying this book, and learning/discussing with lovely friends what the story of two sisters from the Bible's Old Testament had to teach me about comparison and what havoc it can wreak in my life in the present day.

This was very good, I didn't realize just how often I compare myself to others. I realized how it's just the start. I get dissatisfied, then I get grumpy, irritable with those around me. Comparison is just the start. Now I can see it coming and I know what to do to end it.

The study was good. I enjoyed it and learned some things I had not known before. I really enjoyed the spiritual gift questionnaire at the end. It was accurate and also interesting!

I didn't mind this study - God used it to reveal my sin of comparison to others is deeply rooted! - but it isn't one of my favourites. It is a video-based study, though you do not need the videos in order to do the workbook. The first few weeks seemed to me to go by pretty slowly, and the anecdotes sometimes seem to be a stretch as do some of the Weekly Truths and Weekly Verses. I think I would have liked it better as a shorter study.
