Guys my age just don't do it for me. That's why I'm a college senior and still a virgin. I want a man - a real man - like Professor Fitzgerald. He's handsome, smart, accomplished, and famous for writing a bestselling book about the psychology of sex.
Just cause I'm a virgin doesn't mean I don't think about doing it. I'm obsessed. My roommate says I'm the dirtiest virgin in the world. I'd let Professor Fitzgerald make me a woman in a heartbeat. But I know he'd never go for a shy, inexperienced student like me.
THE PROFESSOR
Students throw themselves at me every semester, trying to get with the famous professor who wrote the book on sex. Not once have I done anything with any of them. But when I see Violet sitting there on the first day of class, I'm instantly drawn to her. She's shy, quiet, modest - and stunningly gorgeous. And when I find out that Violet's a virgin, I can't help myself: I have to have her. I'm going to teach her, mold her, and make her mine.
*** The Professor is a 50,000+ word steamy romance novel with lots of dirty goodness, no cheating, and a guaranteed Happily Ever After! ***
I feel like I walked away w soaked panties and an amazing understanding of human sexuality and psychology lol
So. Good deal. This was a fun and wild ride. I liked the random problems and solutions.
I love when the teachers are all in and the problems are elsewhere but the professors are still a go go go
I loved when he asked himself if josh was a lonely loser stalker or a “violent aggressive one lol like word though. Protect ya “girlfriend” boo handle that sht
Lot's of grammar issues. Many misspelled words. I could let that slide but the way the author spoke about women was disgusting. Just an example:
-Chanel cracks a half smile and says, “I can't help it if a lot of men – especially older men – are attracted to me. Educated older men like me. It's not my fault.”
It's exactly your fault, bitch. You dress like the slut you are and throw yourself at every guy who projects even the slightest hint of authority. Somebody's got some serious daddy issues to work through.-
She's calling this girl a bitch, slut, whore etc constantly... yet she's doing the same thing she's calling her a slut for (sleeping with an older man). It gave me massive "I'm not like other girls" vibes.
*4 stars* It was a good book. This book follows James (Professor Fitzgerald) and Violet (a virgin senior undergraduate student). Dual POV. I liked that there was a plot twist with one of the characters in the book, which made me a bit surprised. However, I wished there was another extra Epilogue (Epilogue 2) James POV though.
If you are looking for a quick read book, this is one of the quick read books.
It’s rare that I review my books, more so, that I return them… That said, I felt the need to do both for this one. It’s poor plot development, immature communication between the FMC and MMC, and the intimate scenes are unreadable. I went in expecting a quick, heated, romance and instead was forcibly dragging myself to the end of this complete shit-storm. Not for one second did I believe the author even had more than an crumb of knowledge on Freud, or Psychology for that matter, and as a student myself, it feels as if it was either AI generated or googled just for an attempt at sounding intelligent. Time jumping cheats the story, immature feedback and interactions cheapen the character depictions of “mature” and the repeated repetitions of “sex expert” for the MMC are painful at best. This book is simply immaturely written, underdeveloped, and a bad representation of the genre, even given the nickname of “smut”.
That last one is generous, as if it wasn’t AI generated, I’d believe a high schooler with zero relationship experience actually wrote this. Calling all editors and peer review teams, you missed the mark on this one.
Violet, a virgin, attends college where, James is a well known sex expert and is a professor. Not only that he has written many books pertaining to the subject. She however, had never heard of him, which in, and of itself, is unusual. Why do you ask? As her friend states, she is the most knowledgeable virgin around. She is very well versed in Freud, the founding father of all things sex, in psychology. Not to mention, anything else about intercourse, she can get her hands on.
More so, how it relates to people’s private relationships. So, she is for sure in the right class. When she sees, James Fitzpatrick, she is for sure. She is attached to older men. He is about ten years to his current age as a college senior. James too feels an instant connection with, Violet, not something that has ever happened to him before.
Two very precise individuals who doesn't like to lose control? Can't seem to hide their infatuation with one another. See how they handle the situation and where it goes. The narrators gave the characters the right touch needed for you to know who these characters are. Kindle Audible read. Free trial.
I’m glad to say that the author didn’t bog us down with a lot of technical psychology stuff which I was afraid of. There were terms in the story I had to look up but they were mostly in the background. There book focused on the characters which were great. The story was believable if not somewhat predictable. Most romance stories have the book boyfriend so perfect no real man could live up to them. The MMC James wrote the book on sex so he actually could be real. The MFC Violet is shy and bewitching and the perfect contrast to James. The way they got together makes sense and is explained in a believable way. The supporting cast is funny and mostly likable and you’re happy to see Chanel get her comeuppance. The meeting of the Mother was funny and quirky. I would definitely recommend this book.
Very disappointing! I stopped reading this book because of the foul language used. Within the first few pages the author uses the f word. That ended this story for me.
You want to read a book for enjoyment, entertainment, and to escape everyday anxiety of life, but when you books like this, it brings back all the anxiety of life.
I have found many contemporary books have very distasteful language.
I won’t be reading any more of this author’s books.
PERIOD. the first completed read of March like this book kept me on my feet it was exactly what I needed. It's a professor and student trope one of my favorites. I love every bit of it.
Violet; a student, 22yrs old, in junior year when she met the professor, v**gin, dirty mind and she is brilliant. James: Professor, 32yrs, author, psychologist, a single man.
Totally recommend. It really did a number on me as a picky reader this was my absolute cup of tea. Will re-read it over and over again.
The writing is excellent, very few errors, and runs smoothly. I found the chemistry between the older prof and the young virgin student to me blah - just didn't feel it. On top of that, a big deal was made about the fact he had written a book about the "ins and outs" of sex, made a killing off it; so one would expect their sex scenes to be spicy...but sadly they were not. For me, I could take it or leave it.
I don’t usually DNF books and I’m a sucker for this trope but for some reason I just couldn’t get through it. The characters were bland and the story didn’t draw me in. The mmc just made me uncomfortable with the way he spoke about women. And the FMC had a weak character. I think I made it about 60 pages in before I just couldn’t read any more sorry😔😅
Beautifully written! Loved every chapter of this story. I loved the plot, it had a little bit of everything. Loved the ending. I recommend this 📖 ! I’m new to this authors but this won’t be the last book I read.. can’t wait to see what’s else there’s in store for me!
Couldn’t put this book down. Well written/easy reading. Ticked all of the boxes. Will 100% read this one again and add ML Sapphire to my list of fave authors.
DNF at about 30% This book wasn't for me. I didn't like the MMC or his relationship with the FMC. On that note: I didn't like the FMC either. But that wasn't even the reason I quit the book midway through. The sentences were flawed at some points, nothing big just typos and stuff like that (which is not a bad thing in general - it is human to make mistakes) but with my general dislike for the characters I decided to put this one down.
