Have yourself a merry Dino-Christmas! Dinos big and small deck the halls and enjoy snowball fights, hot cocoa, a parade, and more. Share in the dinosaurs' delight as they eagerly await the arrival of everyone's favorite . . . Santa Claws!
The team behind the Dino-Sports and Dino-Holidays series are back again with a celebration of all things Christmas. T. Rex makes angel wings in the snow, Triceratops leads a group of friends in decorating a park, Allosaurus makes a wreath, Apatosaurus dresses up like a giant elf. Santa Claws arrives and passes out presents, before the whole group goes caroling. It's a celebration of Triassic proportions! (And you won't believe what holiday they're celebrating next!)
"Gott's bright digital depictions of the rowdy dinosaurs are already great fun; seeing them crunch down on Christmas cookies, sing carols, and parade in the streets ups the ante."— Publishers Weekly
"[W]ill delight dino-loving readers eager for the arrival of Christmas."— Kirkus Reviews
The Dino’s are taking a break from sports to celebrate a little Christmas cheer. In its standard sing song rhyme, the dinos deck the hall, have snowball fights, and await Santa Claws. A great story in the line up perfect for dino fans during the holidays.
This is the newest edition to the Dino series, this time about celebrating Christmas. This book shows all kinds of winter sports from sledding, snowball fights, ice-skating etc. Once they get cold, they go inside to warm up and drink hot chocolate and eat smores. Then it is back outside to decorate the outside; park, buildings, trees etc. Christmas Eve finds them all sleeping until the parade next morning where Santa brings them gifts. Watch for the naughty ptero twins throughout the story. The story is told in rhyme which makes it easy to read and fun to listen to. The illustrations are amazing. Lots of colour and expression. The dinosaurs are cartoon like, so they are not scary for the little ones. A cute series for young readers, especially those that love dinosaurs. My grandson loved it and wanted me to read it again and again. I know what he will find in his Christmas Stocking this year. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.
The dinosaurs get themselves and the town ready for the big Christmas parade in this fast-paced, rhyming tale of holiday mayhem and exuberant celebration.
Lisa Wheeler has roared her way into the hearts of many a young dinosaur-loving child with her Dino-Sports series, and this expansion to her domain will be well-received by her fans. For dinosaur enthusiasts, this book will hit home simply because of the vast number of dinosaurs within. The illustrations are colorful and attractive, and the artist has hidden many really humorous bits inside them. (T-rex trying to make a snow angel is this librarian's favorite.) And Santa has a surprise for those naughty Ptero twins. However, the rhyme scheme often feels forced, particularly when it truncates dinosaur names to work, and the story feels lost to the rhymes. Two stars.
We're so proud of you for reading "Dino-Christmas"! You learned something wonderful—that celebrating together makes holidays extra special. The dinosaurs taught you that when we work together, decorate, play, and share joy with our friends and family, everyone feels happier. You can use this in your life by helping others during special times, being kind, and including everyone in the fun. Just like those friendly dinosaurs! Keep reading, our brilliant girl. We love watching you grow smarter every single day!

Ahh another wonderful Dino book! These are some of my favorite kid’s books lately. The big, bright colorful pictures and fun, whimsical rhyming verse are perfection. They are fun to read with a great lyrical quality (which is provably why I love them so much). A must-read for us during the holidays!
A nifty Decemberween celebration with the dinosaurs. (Let's not get too caught up on the logistics of dinosaurs celebrating Christmas... they already wear clothes and play sports...)
this was such a cute book for kids. It is great for a read aloud in class. The only thing that I did not like was the fact that there was a lot of names in the book. But the pictures were great and it was very colorful. great Christmas book.
It is an entertaining and all over the place book, but in a good way. There is a lot of educational purposes and there is a lot of dinosaurs being named, so that can be hard for some students, but it is a colorful and entertaining story. I would recommend and use in class.
Reads very similarly to Dinosaur 🦕 Mardi Gras. The end was weird when it was a Christmas tie in to Halloween. Halloween 🎃 is so far away. I understand Halloween 👻 to Christmas 🎄 they are so close that way.
The Thanksgiving one works better than this one. This one felt long. It also ends on a different random holiday, which I don't like, and doesn't have as nice of a wrap up of christmas that I can use as a fake ending.
I asked my boy what would you like to read and he said a Christmas story with dinosaurs. I googled this and came across this book, voice over was a little annoying but the video of the book, the book and the drawings are perfect. we soon watched more!
