This book is a far-ranging discussion of U.S. Virgin Islands Creole, with a glossary. It mixes theory with observation and experience--all molded within the traditional and cultural milieu of St. John, St. Croix, and St. Thomas.
I was a little disappointed because I was expecting to learn about Crucian and Tomian but this focused mostly on Tomian which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I did learn a lot of words I've never heard before in my life given that I'm a born and raised Crucian.
I will more than likely read through this again as there is a lot to take in. I really appreciate there being more books on our languages from the US Virgin Islands.
