Shame Me Not #1.5

Make It to the Altar

Rate this book
It took Kevin and Ana ten years to find their happily ever after, and they can't wait to claim each other as husband and wife.

But when one thing after the next goes wrong, they begin to wonder if they’ll ever get to say their ‘I do’s’.

As Ana starts to crumble under the stress, Kevin knows that he needs a plan. Her submission calms her, his control centers them both, and speeding up their path to matrimony seems to be the best course of action.

That is, if they can make it to the altar.

When I found out that Fiona Cole was going to release a novella to Shame I was beyond ecstatic. I love Shame because of Kevin and Anabelle. These two people are such complex and interesting characters that I couldn’t wait to see what Fiona Cole would have in store for them with this novella.

Make It To The Altar is a delicious and very sexy dessert. I got more of Ana and Kevin. More of them as best friends, lovers and their dynamics in their sexual relationship . Kevin is the man in their relationship. In charge and full on dominant which Ana wants and needs. They both need. I enjoyed every scene between Kevin and Ana. They have so much chemistry and their love shines through every word they say to one another. Yes, Kevin can get rough when they play but it’s with Ana’s needs in mind. His love for Ana. All the time. Their relationship isn’t like anyone else but it’s their normal and I love how Fiona Cole captures it. Both in Shame but most definitely also in Make It To The Altar.

Make It To The Altar is the perfect closure to Anabelle and Kevin’s story. They’ve come so far since Shame. The growth and evolution they’ve gone through is incredible. Fiona Cole has created a unique love story that I’ll always treasure because of these characters.

I couldn't read it. It's like Ana is totally different person comparing to Ana from first book. She is frustrated, spoiled, incapable and powerless female and I just can't read about such weak character.

After meeting them in Shame I fell in love with Kevin and Ana. They became one of my favourite couples and I was soooo happy to learn they were getting a novella.

Their path to the altar is not an easy one and Kevin does what he does best - masters Ana, and takes care of her at the same time. Fiona Cole manages to combine sweet with filthy like nobody else. I can't wait to read more of her books.

I received an arc of this book.

Make it To the Altar is a beautifully crafted love story of two young adults whose emotional journey to find understanding and acceptance in one another has brought them to their happily every after. Kevin and Ana captured my heart and attention in Shame, so I was thrilled when I found out that Fiona was continuing with their story in a novella.

Kevin continues to be the delicious, alpha male we came to know and love during their younger years in Shame. However, I have to say that he definitely gets better with age. WOW! He knows how to take care of Ana in a way that only makes sense to them. He knows what she needs even when she doesn’t and that is so, so sexy! Ana adores Kevin and knows the love they share is unique and she’s determined not to take it for granted. I absolutely adored them as a couple.

It’s obvious that the chemistry between Kevin and Ana has only intensified over time. Their relationship is unique, but one that works for them and they couldn’t be happier. They have found a peace in their lives and they are stronger in their relationship because of it.

Their love story is not conventional and Fiona captures it perfectly with just the right amount sexy and sweet. There is only true love, honesty and respect between these two. I adored this story and loved that we got to spend more time with Kevin and Ana. Once again, I’m sad to see them go, but am excited about what Fiona will bring us in the future!

4.5 "Kevin can tie me up" Stars!!!!!

As soon I found out that Fiona was going to write a follow up novella for Kevin and Ana, I squealed with excitement. I was so freaking giddy I couldn't stop from happy dancing. OMFG when I read Shame (formerly named Shane Me Not) I hardcore fell for Kevin. Oh boy he was this scrumptious piece of chocolate cake and I couldn't help but devour every morsel he had to offer. Ugh, and him and Ana together, I'm telling you, the fire extinguisher came in handy because they set me on fire. So as you can tell I was over the moon to be getting more of Kevin and Ana!

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin!!!! Let me count the ways, mmmm. They say you get better with age and Kevin was equally if not more dirtier and kinkier than when he was younger. Experience, oh yeah he became so much better. *wink* Just thinking about him and his hot-as-hell ways makes me want more of him.

Stepping back into Kevin and Ana's world was exhilarating. To say I missed these two would be a huge understatement. Getting to know how their relationship had progressed and grown was exactly what I needed. And knowing that their love grew stronger and that nothing could damage that put the biggest smile on my face. No relationship is perfect and Kevin and Ana had obstacles they had to overcome, but it all led to them finally having the happiness they so rightfully deserve.

Fiona, THANK YOU for giving us greedy readers more of Kevin and Ana. It was so deliciously decadent. And honestly, if you want to give us more of them in the future, I'd totally welcome it. Just sayin' *wink* But if not, the way you ended it, was so Kevin and Ana's style.

There is just something about this couple that is truly memorable, and I will never turn down a chance to read about them. I loved every minute of this novella and couldn't get through it fast enough! Just a wonderful ending to their story!

God, I love Kevin and Ana. Thank you, Fiona Cole, for giving them the perfect ending to their story. It was kindle-scorching hot in parts and brought tears to my eyes in others. Every woman wants a Kevin Harding!

Make It To The Alter is a perfect post-HEA novella for Ana and Kevin. Their story was never an easy one, so why would getting married be? Ana and Kevin continue to connect on another level, their chemistry is simply addicting. MITTA is sexy, steamy, and has a level of sweet that Ms. Cole mixes in so well. Kevin continued to make me swoon over his love for Ana, just like in the previous novel, Shame.

Overall, Make It To The Alter was a quick, amazing follow up to Shame. Its SO sexy, and Kevin and Ana simply combust on the pages. I loved getting swept away with this couple again.

What a great continuation to Kevin and Ana’s story. The connection between them was there, the struggles and stress of planning a wedding was there, but what I loved the most is that Kevin took care of her without Anna having to verbalize what she needed.

The D/s theme was still strong in this book so the sex was pretty spicy. Sometimes with books of this nature I get bored but not here. It was sexy and erotic and their relationship was playful while still intense.

I’d definitely recommend picking up both books if you’re unfamiliar with this series. And if you read Shame you’ll love this novella.

I was so excited to be back in Kevin and Ana's world!!! After reading Shame (one of my top favorite books of 2017), I just couldn't get enough of them and needed more!!! I'm big fan of novellas and Fiona Cole certainly did not disappoint me with this one. The sexual chemistry between these two characters is on FIRE and I deinfietly needed a cold shower afterwards. I just loved this story and truly enjoyed reading it.

Shame and Make It To The Altar

These were my first books by Fiona Cole and I read it blind, but of course the cover hints already the topic of the story.
It was a damn hot and steamy story, but also a lot more than that. It's a fight against the expectations and moral condemnations of the society.
It's a fight against oneself and the "not normal" desires and needs that causes isolation and depression.
I had a hard time to like the characters. Yes, they were young and they behavior could be excused at the beginning, but 10 years later? They annoyed the hell of me more than a few times.
Ana was like spoiled child most of the time and let the men in her life string along and suffer. Ok, maybe I'm a little biased because I was team Kev from the beginning 😬 . And when we are by Kev: I expected him to show backbone much earlier and let her back and forth behind. I mean shouldn't he, as a dominant guy, has to have a strong personality?
So yes, I've some things that I didn't liked about the characters, but it didn't means that I didn't liked this book and story. I enjoyed this book very much and will definitely read more of Fiona's book.

5 MARRY ME CROWNS

This is my very first Fiona Cole book (well, novella), and it was everything I want in a more seductive romance. Fiona Cole not only delivers scenes so hot my Kindle melted and my cheeks blushed, but she also gives readers so much emotion, the perfect blend of sex and love.

There isn’t a lot of backstory to the characters, but it is a novella connected to another book, so that is to be expected. What she does provide is enough characterization to see how much these two love each other. She suffuses every touch, every thought, and every line of dialogue with so much love, readers can feel it.

The story is the perfect pacing and snippet for a novella. Readers will love watching them plan and scramble to “Make It to the Altar”. What is most important, though, is the message that it doesn’t matter how the wedding goes, what happens, or who is there, it matters that at the end of the day is that two people who are in love are now together forever, that you have found that one person who gets you completely and accepts you flaws and all.

Fiona Cole has delivered a fantastic little novella, perfect for Valentine’s Day with just enough spice to heat it up and enough love to remember why you are sitting across from the person you love.

AHHHHHH! I’ve missed Kevin and Ana SO much! This was the best taste of one of my favorite couples after everything they went through in Shame (Shame Me Not). Is it weird to consider more of their story as a breath of fresh air? That’s how connected I feel to the characters and how I feel after revisiting them after the SO long!

Not a lot of authors have the guts to write about a couple as complex as Kevin and Ana! Fiona Cole knocks it out of the park in that way TREMENDOUSLY! I’m just so incredibly sad this is the last we’ll see of the! They’ll always be a couple I’ll never for get, right along with Fiona Cole and her, as always, beautiful work!

It was so great to get more of Kevin and Ana!
This story made it seem like everything was against them getting married... but Kevin reminded us all that he is in charge and gets what he wants! The love that he has for his Ana is the kind of love most women dream of! He takes such great care of her and always seems to know what she needs! Ana just seems to have a way of grounding Kevin when he starts to get too restless. Kevin and Ana are one of the GREAT couples. They show us that just because their love is unconventional, does not mean that it will not last!

I think it might be fun to check back in with them 5 or more years in the future to see how they are handling life as a married couple and how they are with their children. I think I could probably get story updates about Kevin and Ana forever and be a happy girl.

I loved Make It to the Altar since it was a continuation of Ana and Kevin. I almost wish it was a full-length novel instead of a novella. I almost teared up when they said their vows, and I got frustrated right along with them when everything that could go wrong went wrong. This was my third book by Fiona Cole and I can't wait to see what she does next!!!

"Holy crap!!! Fiona Cole nailed this book hook, line and sinker. I loved this beautiful ending to Kevin and Ana's story.
Shame Me Not was an amazing story in itself, but this novella gave me the ending I wanted!
I loved the dominance continued in Make it to the Altar! Fiona Cole can write so flawlessly. I absolutely could not put this down!
5 Amazing Stars!"

"I received the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I have originally read Shame Me Not and this is a great follow up to it! Oh man all those screw ups for Ana and Kevin even drove me nuts! I’m not even sure if I could hold on to my sanity if that happened to me. But it just goes to show that no matter what happens, love always prevails. Which is why I loved this so much! I hope to see more of Ana and Kevin again soon. "

When I found out that Fiona Cole was gonna release a wedding novella to Shame, I was ECSTATIC!!! I ADORED Kevin and Ana's story. And I couldn't wait to read more of their love story. And what a BEAUTIFUL story we get!!

As any bride knows planning a wedding isn't easy, and Ana is struggling. So much so she's losing her submission. What I LOVED about this story was Kevin's love and Dominance for Ana. He would not let anything stop this wedding, and at times it seemed that even fate was against their union.

Make It To The Altar was EVERYTHING I could have wanted and more. The storyline was PERFECTION, the characters AMAZING! I admit Kevin's love for Ana brought me to tears, but it wasn't just his love, it was their relationship. When he forced her to remember he is in charge, that he would take care of her, of everything, that moment SLAYED me in the most glorious way!!

Make It To The Altar was the absolute best closure to Ana and Kevin’s story. I truly hate to see their story end, I'd love more!!!

Ever since we found out that Fiona was writing this, I’ve been so excited to see what came after Shame (previously Shame Me Not). The title of this book is so appropriate for this book. I couldn’t help but be frustrated with the characters on all the roadblocks they encountered on their journey to the altar. But by the end of it, it was all worth it and I am so happy with the ending these characters got and deserved. Also, that extra story we got at the very end was a nice bonus ;)

If you guys haven’t read Shame, go do it or add it to your tbr! Fiona’s writing is flawless and she quickly became one of my top favorite authors!
