Brendan M Murphy has an itch to scratch after coming across the Name of Harold Cole in his investigation of the Butcher of Lyon.

A confidence trickster from the beginning, the man would go on to be called the worst traitor of the war. I've a copy of the publicaly available file from the National Archives. It's huge and incredibly hard to follow.

What Brendan M Murphy did was take that file and testimonies and accounts from other people, as well as Michael Foots work and made it into a fast pace engaging read.

I knew of his betrayal of the Pat Line, but the man went further. Shockingly further, and he managed to pull others into that.

True evil.

RIP Brendan Murphy you wrote a banger.
