4,5 ⭐ the best in the series yet
This one was my favourite one in the series. The political moves to take down a evil corporation, and all the activist messages were really good. This book focus way less on the relationship between Parker and Skyler and more on the moral of the story.

Damn, another amazing book.
We’re dealing with a company in this book, a company that needs a few more yes votes to get the go ahead to build another location for their company. One that’ll destroy the beautiful land. But things aren’t as it seems and there’s secrets being hidden, secrets that are about to come crashing down.
I have to be honest though, this one hit me straight in the heart. The storyline of filled with a few triggers that are hinted at, at the beginning. I can read almost anything but this one hit hard. Anyone that can treat an animal they way they’re treated in this book is disgusting and vile. I’m an animal lover and always will be so my poor heart.
Parker as always is amazing at what he does as is Bo and Royce and beautiful Wendy. This is a team that I’m gonna love forever, they’re perfect and funny, it’s brilliant.
Can’t wait to read the next ones in the series.

What a read... the first 8 books were light-hearted. This one is... not..
I must admit while the writig style and story itself were well-written, I werent to happy reading about some of this, and I fell like this is out of place for the IG series.
Still, like the main story and like the side story, even though I am 90% sure who the stalker will turn up to be.

Washington, DC is an amazing installment that shows a taste of the wickedly wild imagination of Audrey Carlan! It’s rife with laughter, suspicion, surprise, and of course, the level of hotness I’ve come to thoroughly enjoy from her.
Sky’s beginning chapter had me snort laughing! I love her relationship with Rach and Nate. It really shows they’re not just bodyguards to her. And gah! Sky’s reaction to Park just walking toward her? I want that! It’s a beautiful thing and it’s not just lust-inspired.
The addition of Kendra…right now, I’m on the fence but I’m about 75% more on the side of not liking her, but that’s just because of her past with MY man Roy. Otherwise, she’s intelligent, savvy, gorgeous, and has a sense of humor that fits right with the IG team.
Now this case…I don’t know if the other cases had hit my heart as hard as well as made me as sick. Now, I’m not talking about how it particularly affected IG, it was the case, itself. At the end of the book, I was cheering IG on! All the threats and dirty deals and just icky feel from the client made the outcome all the more perfect!
Audrey Carlan, wow. How you pack so much into a book never ceases to amaze me. Psst. I need more now! I need to know what happens next!

Un tome un peu mieux que les autres. J’ai aimé que l’auteur aborde un sujet d’actualité (les tests sur les animaux) et prenne des positions que je partage. Même si l’histoire est rapide, elle présente bien le problème.
L’histoire de Skyler et Parker m’indiffère toujours autant, skyler est toujours aussi niaise et n’apporte pas grand chose à l’histoire ...

I must say that this was my favorite instalment in the IG series thus far!!!
The guys finally hire in house counsel in the form of Kendra Banks who is also Roy's ex. There are some very angry faces on the team. Parker is hoping with time they may be able to get past it and work peacefully.
Parker and Kendra head off to Washington to help Pure Beauty Pharmaceutical company get two more votes to pass a bill. Sometimes things are not as kosher as they seem and soon IG realizes regardless of their reputation if there is a fallout they cannot in good conscience go through with what is being asked of them.
Sky and Parker have moved forward full throttle with their relationship but both are still dealing with the anonymous text messages and Nate is not getting any head way so it's time to call in the big guns: Wendy. You get a feeling who this person may be but is that just a ruse to hid the true perpetrators identity.
This was at times so hard to read due to the subject matter but it really brings to the forefront that these types of things are really happening but by the end it's all well again.
Cannot wait for the 4th and final volume to get all our questions answered!!!

Great Series of novellas
This is where we get to really know Royce and we also get to meet a new member of the IG security team. This story is by far the most intense because its about politics and deception, scheming politicians and lobbyist are IG targets in this book but as intense as it starts it finishes with Parker and Skylar making plans for the future and welcoming two new fur babies into their life’s....
With each book I’m falling more and more in love with the characters as they us the life experiences to help others and I can’t wait for more from the very talented Audrey Catalan.

Unlike the last book, this installment DID feel well-researched. I appreciated that the author included a topic trigger warning at the beginning of the novel so I was prepared to skim sections if necessary - the warning allowed me to actually be able to read through.
I especially liked the hard & fast line drawn for ethical boundaries vs monetary gain; this one instance glossed over many protagonist failings from the previous books.

Amazing as always
I love how all of these books intertwine and have the story base as Sky and Park. I also love how invested I am into seeing how things turn out for them. But I am also invested in each individual story along side thr romance. I cant believe there isnt but 3 more in the series and then it will end :( love me some Audrey Carlan!!!

Yes I love this series. Beware they conquer a company who were abusing animals. So some descriptions might be sad but a great ending for most of the animals. As an animal lover truly loved this one. Every book has conquered some real issues.

Ce neuvième tome de la série International Guy semble marquer un véritable tournant dans l'histoire de nos personnages mais pas seulement. Audrey Carlan a choisi pour leur neuvième mission un sujet difficile et trop souvent occulté dans notre société puisqu'il est question de produits de beauté et la façon dont ils sont testés, ou non.
Avec International Guy, je lis rarement les résumés des tomes suivant, parce que j'aime être surprise tous les mois. Lorsque j'ai donc commencé ma lecture de cette mission à Washington DC, j'ai appris en même temps qu'eux de quoi allait parler la mission du mois. Et comment vous dire à quel point ce sujet me touche particulièrement... Les animaux et particulièrement les chiens puisque j'en ai moi-même une depuis treize ans, sont à mes yeux aussi importants qu'un humain. Bien souvent d'ailleurs, dans les romans ou les films, je suis plus émotive concernant nos compagnons à poils que pour les personnages humains de l'histoire. Bref, vous l'aurez compris ce neuvième tome d'International Guy ne pouvait que m’intéresser.
Ames sensibles s'abstenir, Audrey Carlan aborde un sujet difficile et souvent occulté par les médias. Les tests de nos produits de beauté sont bien souvent et même trop, testés sur des animaux. Cette pratique va très loin et est totalement inacceptable quand on sait des moyens dont on dispose pour faire autrement. De grosse sociétés qui brasses des millions procèdent de cette façon pour réduire leurs coups et se manquent de ce qu'endurent ces pauvres bêtes, parfois "élevés" dans cet unique but. Cette pratique me révolte totalement.
Audrey Carlan l'aborde de façon brève notamment côté résolution (puisque ce tome n'est pas plus gros que les précédents) mais avec beaucoup de tact et de sincérité. Ces personnages, nos trois International Guy sont aussi révoltés que nous et ne se laisseront pas faire. J'ai d'ailleurs apprécié qu'ils soient engagés pour cette cause et qu'ils mettent un point d'honneur de ne pas participer à cette pratique en fermant les yeux.
Vous l'aurez compris, cette mission est vraiment différente des précédentes. Je l'ai trouvé davantage intéressante, développé et importante. Un sujet trop peu abordé qui devrait soulever les foules devant tant de cruauté. C'est d'ailleurs ce sujet qui a fait de ce neuvième tome de International Guy, mon préféré, dans le sens où j'ai été touché par le message de l'auteure et sa mise en garde face à ces grandes marques qui n'ont aucun scrupule.
Côté histoire, une nouvelle arrivante va semer la pagaille entre nos trois amis et pourrait bien raviver des blessures du passé. J'ai d'ailleurs apprécié cette partie de l'histoire car j'ai toujours été curieuse concernant le personnage de Royce, très secret depuis le début. Concernant nos amoureux, Parker et Skylar, leur petite histoire continue sur sa lancée de leur futur semble des plus prometteurs. Après Berlin, Parker va s’envoler pour Washington D.C. Une nouvelle mission est à résoudre, mais celle-ci va s’avérer beaucoup plus difficile que prévue.
Car ils n’avaient jamais imaginé qu’on pouvait leur demander de faire quelque chose qui va à l’encontre de leurs convictions.
Ce tome est probablement celui que j’ai le plus apprécié de la série.
Audrey CARLAN réunit tous les éléments nécessaires à nous captiver du début à la fin de cet opus. On ne s’ennuie pas, il y a de la tension, du suspens, de nouveaux personnages, des histoires passées,… Bref, un cocktail explosif qui va nous tenir en haleine du début à la fin de notre lecture !
Tout commence par la venue d’une nouvelle femme dans l’équipe d’International Guy.
Le trio de choc est à la recherche d’une juriste pour les épauler, et ce n’est pas n’importe quelle juriste qui va venir passer un entretien d’embauche.
Elle a un passé avec Royce, elle lui a brisé le coeur, mais c’est la meilleure dans son domaine. Vont-ils essayer de surmonter ça, de tourner la page de ce passé qui a chamboulé Royce ?
J’ai adoré cette nouvelle figure féminine qui ramène de la fraîcheur à l’histoire. On se concentre un peu sur un autre homme que Parker, nous en apprenons plus sur Royce, même s’il reste encore beaucoup de zones d’ombre à son sujet.
La mission est quant à elle surprenante, dans tous les sens du terme.
Une entreprise de cosmétique mandate les International Guy pour les aider à faire passer une loi qui leur permettrait de sauter des étapes de vérification de leurs produits.
D’une demande toute simple, en fouillant un peu, Parker va se rendre compte que cette histoire est plus sordide que ce qu’il croyait. En effet, si cette loi passe, les entreprises pharmaceutiques pourront mettre sur le marché des médicaments non testés avant mise en vente, mais cette loi va surtout permettre les tests abusifs sur les animaux.
Autant de thématiques dures qui sont abordées ici, dans ce neuvième opus. On y découvre une réalité glaçante et sincèrement, Audrey CARLAN a réussi à me faire réfléchir là-dessus. J’ai été choquée, tout autant que les personnages et suivre leurs aventures a été très prenant.
Concernant la fin, les sms mystérieux sont de retours, plus menaçants que jamais.
J’ai plusieurs théories à ce sujet et j’espère être surprise.
En conclusion, « International Guy, tome 9 : Washington D.C. » m’a totalement convaincue. Audrey CARLAN nous offre un tome où suspens, horreur, triste passé et action sont savamment dosés, de quoi nous tenir en haleine jusqu’au dernier chapitre.
J’ai été vraiment touchée par la mission de Parker, par les thématiques abordées qui sont vraiment d’actualité. Elle a réussi à ce que je me questionne à ce sujet, à me bouleverser.

Autant de thématiques dures qui sont abordées ici, dans ce neuvième opus. On y découvre une réalité glaçante et sincèrement, Audrey CARLAN a réussi à me faire réfléchir là-dessus. J’ai été choquée, tout autant que les personnages et suivre leurs aventures a été très prenant.
Concernant la fin, les sms mystérieux sont de retours, plus menaçants que jamais.
J’ai plusieurs théories à ce sujet et j’espère être surprise.
En conclusion, « International Guy, tome 9 : Washington D.C. » m’a totalement convaincue. Audrey CARLAN nous offre un tome où suspens, horreur, triste passé et action sont savamment dosés, de quoi nous tenir en haleine jusqu’au dernier chapitre.
J’ai été vraiment touchée par la mission de Parker, par les thématiques abordées qui sont vraiment d’actualité. Elle a réussi à ce que je me questionne à ce sujet, à me bouleverser.

C'è una nuova arrivata all'international Guy, ma è per tutti una vecchia conoscenza: Kendra non solo è l'avvocato più qualificato per rappresentare l'IG, è anche l'ex ragazza di Royce. Non c'è tempo per il rancore, lei e Parker devono subito volare a Washington DC: un'azienda cosmetica richiede i loro servizi. Ma questo potrebbe essere il caso più difficile che l'IG abbia mai accettato.
Dio ti prego.
Ecco le cose positive di questo libro: 1) tratta un argomento serio e importante, ovvero lo sfruttamento e il maltrattamento degli animali; 2) ci viene concessa una tregua dai SkyPark; 3) finisce.
Non so nemmeno cosa dire su questo libro se non che forse sono stata troppo generosa con la votazione. Per l'amor del cielo, il tema è davvero importante e viene trattato abbastanza bene, molto bene se si considera che tipo di libro è. E forse è proprio questo il problema: l'argomento è totalmente fuori tema rispetto al target di questi libri e completamente senza senso. Posso capire il bisogno di parlare e dire la propria sulla questione, anche aprire gli occhi ai lettori sul tema, ma piazzarlo al nono libro di una serie erotica proprio non ha motivo di esistere. L'autrice ha una certa importanza, ha una voce che può farsi sentire, ma magari in un libro a parte, in un altro contesto. Qui è buttato in mezzo per fare numero di pagine.
Poi una cosa che mi ha dato estremamente fastidio è quanto sia eccessivamente descrittivo in certi passaggi e come tutti i personaggi all'improvviso siano degli esperti in materia. Sono contenta che l'autrice abbia fatto delle ricerche prima di scrivere, ma magari avrei evitato di fare copia e incolla. Risulta tutto troppo falso, troppo impostato.
In conclusione, non mi è piaciuto per nulla questo libro, decisamente il peggiore.
Preghiamo che gli ultimi tre risollevino il tutto.

While most of the International Guy stories have somewhat fun element to them, I think this one had the most real feeling. It was raw, confronting, downright sad in places, but with plenty of heat and love to kind of balance it all out.
This was to me the busiest of all the IG stories so far, with international Guy moving hard and fast, new assistant and finally having Wendy back with the team it’s like a big happy family. But with a new attorney bought in, that complicates everything, as she has a history and a certain International Guy man is not going to be happy. I can’t wait to find out more about Kendra Banks…
As Parker and Kendra head off to Washington DC to work with a pharmaceutical company with a new bill to be passed through government, not everything as it seems, and both Parker and Kendra are on High alert. Knowing Pure Beauty Pharmaceuticals is not legit, there digging with the awesome Wendy, shows a awful, cruel world hidden beneath. Knowing International Guy does not delve into sort of filth, Parker and Kendra set to destroy not only that bill, but the company held responsible for everything they learn and see. This book is not for the feint hearted. Many times I had to put it down and take a breather before I could continue.
While Parker is out taking on The world, his lover Skylar sets her sights on Boston permanently, as their relationship gets stronger, so does their unwelcome stalker/ crazy fan… it’s not the end, not even close. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

Whoever said politics is a dirty business knew what they were talking about. The IG team is off to Washington, D.C. to help out a pharmaceutical company that wants a bill passed that will help them out with their future endeavors. With the help of IG's new team member/council Kendra Banks (also Roy's ex), the IG team reveals some ugly truths that has them questioning a client for the first time. Putting their morals and beliefs ahead of anything else the IG team has to find a way to protect the innocent while also protecting their company's downfall. When the team leaves Washington, D.C., they end up leaving with more than they came with. They also leave knowing that beauty isn't want you see on the outside but what lies within.
Roy and Parker's friendship is once again on shaky ground when it is revealed to Roy that their new council is non-other than the ex that broke his heart. Some of Kendra's secrets are revealed alluding that her breakup with Roy wasn't an easy decision or one she wanted but had to do peeking Parker's curiosity even more. Kendra wanting to keep her past in the past, shoots down Parker's questions and asks that he respects her privacy. However Parker knows there is more to Roy and Kendra's breakup. “Let’s just hope we can get through this case unscathed and with our company intact.”
Once again this book will have you camped out until you hit the last page. I just can’t put these books down. I’m completely obsessed with this series and the International Guy Family and everyone who joins it.
“You’ve opened up Pandora’s box, and she has a wicked temper. I’d prepare for the fight of your lives,”
This book takes a different turn. We have a little animosity amongst the brothers. There are difficult subject matters addressed. I feel they are done with class as if Audrey would handle it any other way. They give you an insight to both sides of the subjects. It may have you rethinking your own beliefs and possibly show compassion that may not have been there before.
“...We’re a team at IG, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. Underneath it all, there’s a lot of comradery and respect. The guys will come around, you’ll see.”
Even though some things were changed up in this book...some things stayed the same. Friendships, loyalty, humor, steamy goodness, developing mystery and growth. Looking forward to what Madrid: International Guy Book 10 has in store for us.

The IG team is called to Washington DC to help a cosmetics company get a new bill passed. This was a very different book in the series as there were more serious issues addressed. The company hurts animals in the process of testing their products. They also want to get things accomplished in a crooked way.
The IG team has hired a lawyer, who just happens to be Bo’s ex, Kendra. This adds for some drama, but I think there will be more of this story to come out. I do not think it is as it seems.
This book takes on the feel of Washington DC with politics, right vs wrong and some graphic descriptions of backstories from characters while telling this part. It was one of the best told parts of these novellas.
There is some lightness and happiness also when the whole IG team are now the owners of furry babies.
Looking forward to the next installments and the answer to some of my questions– Will Skylar and Parker continue with their HEA, What is Kendra and Bo’s story, who is sending the strange texts to Parker and Skylar, Will we leave more about Annie, their assistant?

Audrey continues the twists and turns in Washington, D.C. and keeps us as readers investigating everyone and everything as drama exudes from everywhere regarding this stalker. While we try to figure out what’s up with the new guy and his bat shit crazy ways, we also have the letters that are trying to tell us something. Then there’s the girl who hurt one of our favorite IG men years ago and suddenly she’s back in the fold helping the team. I’m not gonna lie she got under my skin, but their is more to that story than meets the eye and it’s going to be good when it all comes out.
Audrey tackles a big issue in this book that isn’t pretty, but the way blackmail, corruption and dirty truths unfold shows what a fantastic writer she is.
The steamy scenes and the love between Parker and Sky intensifies and it will melt you kindle and your panties. Plans are being made for the future and my heart is still all giddy thinking about it! Audrey Carlan, this Washington installment proves that risk taking is important and you aren’t afraid to shake things up for the greater good and that’s how masterpieces are written.

Parker and their new lawyer Kendra are in Washington for International Guy’s latest job working with a large pharmaceutical company who are trying to have a bill passed through Congress. It isn’t long though before they realise things aren’t what they seem. Just who are they working for?
This book is completely different from the previous books in the series in that the main story covers some unsavoury topics that might make you feel a bit ill. But even though some of the descriptions are rather graphic, the author manages to handle them in a manner that doesn’t sensationalise them and therefore reduce the seriousness of the subject matter. It’s not all doom and gloom though. Wendy is back at work needling Bo who, at one point, has to go undercover. And there’s some history between Roy and their new lawyer that maybe isn’t as done with as they might think. Things are heating up with the stalker and theirs an upcoming wedding to look forward to. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

C'est sans aucun doute le tome le plus fort au niveau de la thématique et de l'engagement politique. Pour la toute première fois depuis le début de la saga , nous avons des notes de l'auteur qui nous expliquent à quel point le thème lui tient à coeur et à quel point elle a fait des recherches pour ne pas écrire des choses incohérentes. International Guy va donc prendre la route de Washington DC pour se confronter à la politique, au passation des lois mais surtout à l'éthique de certaines entreprises où le pouvoir et l'argent priment sur la morale.
un nouveau tome que j'ai trouvé très fort au niveau de l'intrigue qui reprend un super rythme. On se recentre sur les IG et sur les histoires personnelles de chaque personnage. La thématique abordée par Audrey Carlan est très forte et trouve un écho très fort dans le contexte actuel. Le pouvoir, la politique et l'éthique vont donc se livrer un combat atroce où le bien devra triompher du mal.

My oh my how things are heating up on all fronts in this gripping installment. I have loved every one of these novellas in this series. Each one bringing a different topic - a different focus. A lesson and milestone in each and every adventure. In Washington DC -whistles- our resident Hottie author Audrey Carlan kicked everything up a notch!
More intensity. This time ethics and moral dilemmas come in to play. More action from each of our 3 International Guys themselves. This is a recipe for a fast paced, action packed, crazy entertaining story that I just couldn't put down!
Come along for the wild ride and discover for yourself the delicious love story between Parker and his dream girl Sky. They are weaving their way in to my soul - absolutely adore these two characters and the insane connection growing stronger every day despite the obstacles life has thrown their way. Cannot wait to read what is in store for this entire cast next.

Parker and his friends need to help a pharmaceutical company and soon needs a lawyer and that's when he finds Kendra, a passion for Royce that broke his heart! in the unfolding of the story, Parker and Kendra go to Washington DC to work, with a new law to be approved by the government, not everything is as it seems, and both Parker and Kendra are on high alert. Knowing that Pure Beauty Pharmaceuticals is not legitimate, with the help of Wendy, it shows a horrible and cruel world hidden beneath that company. Knowing that IG does not plunge into some sort of bigger problem, Parker and Kendra decide to destroy not only this account, but the company to take responsibility for everything that is happening.

There is just so much in this installment that it will leave you breathless.
IG needs a lawyer and they get a lawyer but who they hire it’s a surprise that you don’t want to miss. We get to learn a little more about Royce and I can’t wait to see more of him.
IG gets hired to help a pharmaceutical company. They want a bill to pass so the mission of IG is to persuade politicians.
Perfect timing for this book because this installment deals with politicians as our country just had midterm elections. Parker and the gang once again teach us that we should stand by what we believe in. No matter what the consequences are.

Washington DC takes the entire IG team on a wild ride. Parker takes their new corporate attorney, Kendra, to meet with their latest client. The latest client is a cosmetic company wanting help with pushing through some legislation. What seems like an easy job quickly takes them into a world of deceit and blackmail. It will take everything the team has to keep them out of trouble and from compromising their ethics.
Loved that Audrey brought some tough issues into this installment and helped the characters deal with them gracefully. Washington DC had my emotions all over the place. This might just be my favorite IG story yet.
