The eleventh book in the sexy International Guy Series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Audrey Carlan.
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: where torrid temperatures can ignite explosive family secrets.
There’s nothing I won’t do to protect Skyler, the team, and my family. After the recent attempt on our lives, escaping to Rio to enjoy the hot sands of Copacabana Beach sounds like a little piece of heaven and a much-needed break from the nightmare back in Boston.
When my brother’s Brazilian mate solicits my help to weed out a shadowy embezzler slowly bleeding his business dry, I can’t say no. However, the more we dig into the issue, the more secrets come to the surface. Hidden agendas, grudges, and recriminations all seem par for the course in sunny Rio de Janeiro. The worst of it? The enemy we have at home appears to have come out of hiding and continues to threaten what I hold most dear.
Once again I’m in a killer’s sights, but more than that, the people I love back home are left vulnerable.

This is the eleventh book in a twelve-novella series.
Dear goodness gracious me! This installment had me on such a tumultuous ride I wasn’t sure I would come out alive and in one piece! I laughed, cried and felt so much throughout this truly amazing book that I felt a part of it! I love how the authors words translate into feels so much so you wish you could be in there to help the characters and hug them when needed! What it all comes down to though is true love and strength of family!! And this book has it in spades, a roller coaster of sorts! Rio picks up where Madrid ended and needless to say the proverbial poo will hit the fan! Sky and Parker need to get away and what better place than Rio to help a company with financial issues! We learn so much about Parkers brother and his partner and there are some elements that get rather heated! I loved so much about this book I was bursting at the seams and I have to say I had a gut feeling and I was right...i did pat myself on the back!! Haha! In any case! International Guy series is amazing and theres only 1 story left! A definite must read!
What a great freaking book. Thankful for Netgalley for giving me Volume 4. I'm shocked no one but myself figured out who was the real culprit. I never want this series to end it's that good. I've read this one in one day.
Parker and Sky love will conquer anything thrown at them. With the help of Parkers friends and family.
Who the crazy stalker is, and OMFG 😱😭. I didn't want that person to be the culprit but it was all pointing in their direction for awhile. Devastating. In this one they go to Rio and they appear to go sightseeing a lot more than in the other countries they visited. There was a ton of description of everything Brazilian, from foods, architecture, music, etc. We get to meet Dennis family and the team help he sort out a major financial problem at their company. His family isn't very nice 😬 poor Dennis and Paul. There was some spice, even if a bit repetitive. Was good but not great. My least favourite so far. Great narration. Free on KU with audio included.
A nice story, were we finally get to see the stalker/harasser, and I was absolutely right... Many books ago the clues were there... I just didnt know why... and I must admit I am a bit disappointed in "why", as it seemed a bit like a "how should it be xx, oh yes because xx" without any context from before.
Thats why I only rate it 3.. still... good... but not good enough.. not well thought for me...
Rio brings us Paul’s boyfriends business, there’s a huge amount of money going missing so they bring in the big guns to find out exactly what is going on and the best person for the job, Royce.
Not only do we get Rio but this book delivered a whole bunch of drama, along with a few plot twists. It’ll leave you shocked and thinking wtf.
I love these books so much and I can’t believe I’m down to the last one. I’m so sad
Loving this series of short reads This is family issue and as always the team protect family and friends so they have no hesitation heading off to Rio to look into Parker’s brother Paul’s boyfriends business which has been leaking money for a couple of months. Family means everything to Parker and he won’t standby and watch Paul hurt especially as Paul stepped up to protect Skylar when her security team were not available.
Wow! I knew things were really ramping up with all the threats, but Rio, the 11th edition of International Guy by Audrey Carlan, proves to be EXPLOSIVE! With bodyguard Nate Van Dyken out of commission, his wife Rachel at his bedside and Parker hospitalized with a concussion, cuts and bruises, Skyler is left exposed and in need of protection. The once somewhat malign text threats to her have dramatically escalated to a fire and now a bomb.
After Parker recovers well enough to travel, a secret flight for the IG team, Skyler and big brother Paulie, who has stepped into the Van Dyken’s role, jets off to Rio de Janeiro. The purpose is twofold really. Get Skyler out of harm’s way, and have IG look into the financial problems Paul’s man Denny’s family business in Brazil is experiencing.
In true Audrey Carlan fashion, we are treated to the local flavors and sights of the city of Rio. Alas it’s paradise lost when a dark cloud rains down on our Sunshine and her man Parker.
Next stop, Los Angeles for the stunning end to this amazing Audrey Carlan series!

After the events that unfolded at the end of book 10, the gang is off to Rio to help Dennis figure out who is stealing from his family company. Parker, his brother, Paul, Skylar, & Royce take in the sights & sounds of Rio.
Once Royce gets a look at the company books he contacts Wendy to help him dig into things further. Parker & Sky help but also take time to be together.
I went through every single emotion you can in this book. I knew who was stalking Sky many books back but it was amazing to see how it all plays out. So clever. Audrey is such an amazing author!!! Can't wait to read the next book but unfortunately, it will be the last in the series!!!
The 11th book of the International Guy's series is picks up right after Madrid and it's packed with action. The stalker mystery is solved. Trust me when I say that a lot happens in this book: hospitals, travel and sightseeing of Rio, confrontation with a family that doesn't accept his son sexuality, an embezzlement case, parallel family, hit and run... The description of Rio, where the International Guy's next case takes the team to, is spot on! We also get to know more about Paul, Parker's brother. It was obvious, at least to me and for the last couple of books, who the stalker was. And I wanted to smack Skyler for not putting two and two together. You can't be that naive, can you? After ten books, I had very high expectations. But many parts felt rushed, others seemed forced and I wished there was a bit more of slow pace and details. Don't get me wrong, the series is great and perfect for binge reading. You will want to know what case the International Guys are working on next, how Parker and Skyler's relationship develops, and what is Wendy up to (she is an awesome character). Let's see what the 12th and last installment of the series will bring!
E invece no. Troppo... a caso. Aiuto

Un. Freaking. Believable. This was without a doubt the best book in series. It’s a culmination story, bringing together a lot Of The strings that have been dangled in front of our faces.
After the explosive ending of Madrid, I knew Rio would more than the normal IG story, that has the team helping someone needing something, but as an injured Parker heads to Rio to help his brother, Paul’s new boyfriends family owned company wth embezzlement issues, we got more insight into hot Paul, his background and also Dennis who has taken Paul’s heart. But along with the company work, Dennis’ family issues and of course the stalker , that has now almost killed those closest to Skylar their lay low idea is once again put to the ultimate test.
As the stalker is confirmed, and another family member targeted all bets are off. Now it’s war, but it’s poor Skylar caught right in the middle, this is one story you’ll want to s art and not stop. Thank god for holidays , I was able to enjoy it in one sitting. I know I’ve said it before, but this series is amazing, sexy, sweet, hot, and explosive. I’m feeling to finish book 12 now and the ending of the International Guy series. I’m sad, and excited all at once.
In Rio, Audrey Carlan finally answers our questions as to who has been stalking my favorite couple, but she does so in a way that blows my mind! This book doesn’t just tell you who it is, it takes you to Rio, a beautiful country where Park and Sky experience beauty, love, joy, pain, sorrow, outrage, sheer disbelief, shock, pride, awe, heart-stopping panic, fear, devastation, and finally a chance to live free.
What an amazing roller coaster!! This installment is unlike the others in so many ways. Park and Roy are not working a contracted case, Park and Sky are not just visiting another country. I am so in love with this family of characters that my heart beats so fast when they’re in danger, it stops when something bad happens, it bleeds when they’re hurting! And this stalker/bomber/arsonist…I admit to wanting the tides turned on them. But Audrey is too nice. LOL. I would LOVE 5 minutes in a windowless, soundproof room with that person. Seriously. After all that person did to Sky and Park and family?! Grrrr!!!!!
Audrey Carlan, I know the series isn’t finished yet, but wowza!! You blew my ever-loving mind with Rio!!
Rio is the penultimate book in the International Guy series and things with the stalker have escalated to a homicidal degree. After the tragic events that happened after their return from Madrid, Parker and Skylar are hiding out in Rio with Parker’s brother Paul, a special forces operative and his partner Denny. Also along for the ride is fellow team member Royce, primarily to handle a problem with suspected embezzlement Denny is having in his family-run import business. When the stalker can’t find SkyPark though, will they turn their attentions to someone maybe closer to home?
I loved this book. The action doesn’t let up from the first page and the tension is palpable. Every time they think they have discovered the identity of who the stalker is, their suspicions are thwarted. I also loved the ‘travelogue’ of Brazil – not a place I’ve ever had any inclination to visit until I read this author’s vivid descriptions of the sights. I have to say though that I have never disliked fictional characters as much as I do Denny’s family. They truly are horrible people. Dump him Paul - he’s really not good enough for you
Audrey Carlan blew me away with this installment! You will get your fill of action, suspense, drama, heartache, pain and love. I want to go to Rio because Audrey described it so beautifully and some of the food and fun are right up my alley. The twists and turns were crazy town and so many questions got answered. My emotions were so raw and I was holding my breath and screaming out loud! I’m not gonna lie I may even have hoped that AC kill a certain character but you will have to read for yourself and find out who and if she did. The love that this tight knit group of people have for each other is out of this world. They are fiercely loyal and protective and I adore them for it. I want to put Sky and Dennis in bubble shields so they feel no pain or heartache and only love. Audrey Carlan this installment is an exceptional bombshell of epic proportions and couldn’t have been told better by anyone else.
Rio was the culmination of everything that was happening in this series and it was magnificent! The intensity and angst is high with this one as the stalker gets even more clever and dangerous. Ms. Carlan enraptures the audience with her words and makes you feel like you are literally in the book with the characters! You most certainly feel the love between Skyler and Parker and yearn for them to be together forever! We get more of Paul and Dennis in this installment and it was so refreshing to see Paul come out of his shell and love Dennis our in the open. It saddened me that they still had an uphill battle with Dennis’ family, but what made my heart beat faster was the unity in their love!
So many answers in this installment that it was difficult to put the book down! Which is always a great thing for me! I seriously and anxious for the next and final installment because I feel that love WILL conquer all!!!
One of the most dramatic and meaningful chapters in this ever-intensifying serial. Tragedy follows Parker and Skyler through every moment from the aftermath of Madrid's cliffhanger to Brazil and back to Boston.
There's a strong stress on family unity that extends to friends, everybody supporting each other in their bleakest hours. Despite the tremendous hits they suffer, love and understanding shine bright. It was all very intense.
I loved the beauty of Rio de Janeiro, the attention given to the food and thte landmarks, as well as the relationship between Parker's brother and his lover. I could do without the religious vibe, but I understand that the author wanted to leave her spiritual imprint there.
Finally, a huge secret is out, and its heavy toll rains on Skyler with brutal foce. Brace for it!
I can’t begin to tell you how much I love Parker and Sky together!! Through everything that is happening not only to them, but to their friends and family they’ve managed to somehow remain connected to each other!! Even when the crazy person starts taking out everyone they care about - they take each crisis in stride and become stronger for it!! The exact opposite of what crazy person wants to happen!! I can’t believe all that’s she’s gotten away with and for how long! This series just keeps checking off all the boxes - suspense ✔️ - not just one, but several hot sexy men ✔️ - an epic love story that leaves you breathless ✔️ - travel to many great cities around the world ✔️✔️!! You just can’t miss with this series and it’s not even done yet!!! Hold on tight with both hands while you read this one!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
