Very enjoyable reading that made time fly fast, and I only wondered how it was possible that I kept reading it in fast pace because it was so engaging.
I especially enjoyed the first third of the book, where Draco was dealing with his darkness and secrets, where he was having hard time with setting his life on the right track and dealing with others reaction about his goal to become Auror. I loved when Hermione helped him to master Patronus magic.
The chemistry between Draco and Hermione was A+++, their interaction was very much to my liking - Draco wasnt bastard, he wasnt overdramatic, or obscene. Hermione wasnt weakling, he didnt have split personality. Dracos humanity stood in the front, he was aware of his mistake and he was willing to make things right, his love for his son was burning strong. Hermione was strong, and although she was grieving it didnt make her extremely fragile, she was determined, kind and willing to look past the past of Draco. The chemistry between them was full of sparks and I liked that she found her way to Draco first by seeing him interacting with his son, then seeing his honest face and vulnerable.
The story was great, but the author focused on different things than I anticipated as the story went on. I would love to see more of their training like was the Patronus challenge, there were trials but they were bounded to the main story, but I would like to see the training make them face their own demons. I would also love to read more about Draco doing his research.
I must say that sometimes I was confused about Dracos stance towards Astoria, like did he love her, then did he wish her harm or it was only anger speaking, did he forget her too easily or not. I didnt know how to maneuver in their relationship. I must confess that I felt sorry for Draco and Astoria at the same time, I was sorry for Draco that his wife couldnt understand him and stay with him supporting him. But at the same time I understood Astorias feelings and how Draco hurt her.
I also was a little bit unsure how to interpret the fact that Draco was so focused on Hermione right after the divorce. On the other side it was very helpful that some scenes were put from perspective of both of them, so the reader could understand motivation of Hermione and also the motivation of Draco. (especially the bath scene)

too often some words were missing or some sentences sounded weird.

this was all the tropes I love in one story. angst, enemies to lovers, murder-mystery. unfortunately there wasn't really a slow burn but I guess I can let that slide cuz there was enough angst to make up for it.

didn't quite believe the characterizations. Didn't like the premise that Ron was killed. Not enough yearning
