A clear and relatively concise overview of the major frameworks and tools needed to assess and choose strategy. The book lives up to the claims on its cover.

Would like to see the author duo or other Kellogg professors refresh with a new edition now that we're approaching the 20 year anniversary of its publishing in 2005.

This may be a good book for someone who needs a basic introduction to strategy, which is the reason it was assigned to my class where I was forced to muddle through it. However, if you already know anything about strategy, this book is overly redundant, smattered, and verging on plagiarism of Michael Porter. Also places WAY too big of an emphasis on pricing which is more of an ancillary consideration where most strategies are considered in my opinion.

If you already have a business degree, then you don't need to read it.
