WHEREFORE ART THOU. The system of governmentally-arranged marriage is supposed to make everyone’s life easier, but it’s not working for Yukari Nejima. His class is staging a production of Romeo and Juliet for the school festival—and the girl he loves, Misaki, is playing Romeo! Opposite her as Juliet is Yukari’s best friend, the perpetually-misunderstood Yusuke. With Yukari working backstage and his governmentally-assigned partner Lilina in the audience, the class play is going to have more star-cross’d lovers than anyone bargained for!
First volume I kinda like Misaki, but I'm still team Ririna 110%!! 😤 not enough Ririna in this volume lol I usually don't read seinen but I'm obsessed with this manga 😍 it's hilarious, great concept, gorgeous art, and has some really unique and sometimes really thought-provoking parts
🇬🇧 The crossdressing of Yusuke and Misaki was amazing. Especially 'cause Yukari gave Yusuke even more the feeling that he knew about his homosexual feelings towards him, but only conveyed it ambiguously a couple of days before the theatre performance. Although I think that Misaki looks better as she is, I think that Yusuke has a certain appeal as a girl.
This volume has focused a little more on the relationship between Yusuke and Yukari. Although I don't want the two to get together in the end ('cause it just doesn't suit Yukari 'cause he loves a girl), I still think that this misunderstanding between the two already gives the story a certain pep.
WOW, this was soo good, I couldn't stop reading! The whole Romeo and Juliet play thing was a bit weird, but still fit the story. I'm still rooting for Ririna though, although I have to say the other characters are growing on me.
I still can't decide whether I like this series or not. The plot explores some really interesting concepts and the characters are decently half written, there's just something that feels incomplete about it. A little bit like the author isn't sure where they want the story to go.
So I just thought chapter one was a day dream but is that a long lasting plot device. Is there something happening to the star crossed lover 😃 sorry for the pun but with william 's play happening, it was worth it
Although I am enjoying the story and getting to know the characters, the love triangle is turning into a Love Pentagon of sorts and I think that may be my limit.
Honestly, not a lot extra to say. This was a really good volume that focused more on Nisaka and Nejima's friendship and has a culture festival, which I love (even though the play was Romeo and Juliet. UGH). That's it, really. Just a super solid volume all around.

This one gets strong marks for the Nejima and Nisaka interactions. I love seeing these two together and I felt, despite there not being a lot of substance to their conversations, their friendship deepen. It was nice seeing Nejima push himself to convince Nisaka to go through with being Juliet in their play, as well as seeing Nisaka cheer up Nejima after he starts doubting himself towards the end was heartwarming. The actual play was theatrical in design and I loved the costume designs! I also loved Nejima and Lilina's brief moment together, it's one of those moments that makes me think, "yep, those two definitely belong together." Not as much government nonsense so I was cool with that and I have to say I'm warming up to Yajima. Not the most interesting character but I like his interactions with Nejima. This was a solid volume that brought the culture festival to a close and is opening up a whole new can of worms for my beloved potential couple. Can't wait to see what's next.
