Welcome to Corbin's Bend and get to know the couples in this intimate community. Get to know the families and couples who make this their home. This season includes stories from the following authors. Thianna D., Tara Finnegan, Cara Bristol, Kathryn R. Blake, Emily Tilton, Constance Masters, Kate Richards and Maren Smith.
Fortunate enough to live with my Daddy Dom, I am a Little, coffee fanatic, dog and cat mom, was an administrator for six years at my local BDSM dungeon, and have since become a Utah resident and submissive to the love of my life. An International and USA Bestselling Author several times over, I have penned more than 160 novels, novellas and short stories, and am the author of the Masters of the Castle and Daddy’s Little series.
So far I've only read a couple of novellas from the anthology. I will update the review as I read more.
Finding Their Bliss by Thianna D. 3.5 stars This was quite a sweet, low angst and enjoyable story with two likeable main characters, an interesting plot and the perfect balance between steam and story. I disliked how this relied on the very tired cliche of her ex being useless in bed and having a small "member". Just as bad as when an author uses the trope of all "his" exes are evil bitches. Please stop with these pointless and nasty platitudes. The relationship between Char and Brent felt as though it moved a little quicker, I would have liked to see them get to know one another a little more before they became so intimately involved - it felt almost like a one-night stand situation if I'm being brutally honest. However, I did buy into the attraction between the couple and overall thought this was well written and entertaining.
Exile to Unity by Tara Finnegan 2.5 stars Overall I enjoyed this book, I had one or two issues during reading it but the vast majority of those were resolved or accounted for by the end of the story. The biggest one was that at one point it felt as though Jim was overly pushing the Domestic Discipline/"Taken in Hand" agenda for his benefit and really, really wasn't listening to Ange. It also felt quite unfair that he got to punish Ange when they shared equal blame for a situation, however since it proved cathartic to Ange I was prepared to let that one go. I had to smirk when she commented on spanking/paddling him over a situation because it had a nice bite of truth to it and again, I didn't feel that Jim was taking the burden of responsibility. He got to hold Ange to account and punish her for infractions but didn't seem to carry burdens in exchange. However this was made up for in seeing how this couple reconnected, building a new, stronger relationship and finding a path that worked for them. There was also a very difficult yet touching punishment scene that truly showed how much Jim had Ange's back, how much he cared for her and the depth of his love.
Long Shot by Cara Bristol 3.5 stars I very much liked Abby, it took longer for me to warm to Harris, and because of the length of the story, I didn't quite buy into his sudden change of heart. Where this story excelled was in the warmth it conveyed, the importance of other relationships and the genuine respect between Abby and Harris. I enjoyed the story as the relationship felt very consensual and the DD was fair and balanced.
A Simple Misunderstanding by Kathryn R. Blake 3 stars This story touches on when DD becomes abuse, handling the topic very sensitively. Jerry was a very gentle and caring hero and oh so easy to adore. Even though Elly was a victim, she didn't feel weak. Technically there is cheating in this story but, given how hideously Elly's husband treats her, it wasn't an issue for me.
Sarah's Tutorial by Emily Tilton 1 star The style of prose just didn't work for me in this one, the language used for the inner monologues felt very staid and archaic. I gave up on this as it just didn't hold my attention or appeal to me.
Leading the Way by Constance Masters 1.5 stars I liked Erin but I wish she'd had more backbone. I fluctuated with Zach, at times it was clear he cared about his wife's happiness but too often I felt as though he/the book was preaching that a traditional family with a stay at home wife/mother and DD was the only way to be fulfilled and happy as a woman. I read it all but it wasn't for me.
For Ben by Kate Richards I haven't finished the whole book yet but this was my favourite story by far. I thought, again, we were being fed that any woman who pursued a career was somehow at fault for any troubles in a relationship. However, both characters accepted blame for the state of their marriage and I loved that Roy's love for Teri was such that he was willing to forgo his dreams for her happiness. Whilst Teri does re-examine her priorities it was her own choice to do so because she both wanted and needed it. She didn't give up her identity but instead re-discovered her needs, her family and love.
One of my favorite series by a group of talented authors. Corbin's Bend is a private community not far from Denver that was a visionary creation by several people. The homes are part of a co-op and membership, and admittance is based upon the principles of domestic discipline households. While there are a few people that are part of the community that is not only a "couples community" but things have a tendency to lean in that direction. They have businesses, restaurants, and even schools, plus their own law enforcement, a clubhouse, pool, and more. Some rules and bylaws are expected to be adhered to and when broken, can result in public punishments. In this collection of eight stories, you will meet some of the residents of Corbin's Bend.
FINDING THEIR BLISS (Corbin's Bend Book 1) by Thianna D
Welcome to Corbin's Bend, an elite private community for those who live with one shared lifestyle, that of spanking in Domestic Discipline households. Brent Carmichael is President of the homeowner's group, and he screens all applicants that want to join this tight-knit community. But there is one home in that adjoins the neighborhood that does not belong inside Corbin's Bend and under their jurisdiction. Ms. Charmagne Kendle buys the private house. This story takes us on the journey of the budding relationship of Brent and Char as they start into a DD relationship and fall in love. This story does contain sex scenes, erotic spankings and punishment spankings with mentions of anal sex. All spankings in this story are consensual.
EXILE TO UNITY (Corbin's Bend Book 3) by Tara Finnegan
Jim and Ange O'Brien have moved to Corbin's Bend from Ireland after a highly publicized incident that happened three years prior while she was eight months pregnant with their son Jack, that led to his premature birth because of their BDSM activities. They have had to leave family and friends and start over with a new life in Colorado, where people don't know. Ange is into BDSM but not into a Domestic Discipline or Head of Household relationship. She is strongly independent and strong-willed, but that will change, and she finally accepts a change in order to save their marriage. Because of secrets, their marriage has suffered over the past several years, after Ange is honest with him, Jim taking matters in hand and lays down rules to help them unite. This story is an erotic romance with explicit sex, containing spankings, anal play, and elements of BDSM in a committed consensual relationship. It also deals with depression and coping.
LONG SHOT (CORBIN'S BEND Book 5) by Cara Bristol
The story is another wonderful addition to the Corbin's Bend Series. Each book can read as a stand-alone but are too good to miss out on any of them. Corbin's Bend is a private community about an hour or so away from Denver, CO. It is a unique community in that it is designed for individuals, couples and even families that practice a "domestic discipline" lifestyle.
Abby Delaney, a vanilla girl, has come to Corbin's Bend to live with her Great Aunt Quincy, a widow, who also runs an antique shop. Abby is divorced and beat down after losing everything during the divorce including her late grandmother's house and all the antiques. Her ex-husband gambled their life away. Aunt Quincy and her late husband practiced a DD lifestyle; she is also a perpetual matchmaker! Harris Montgomery is a resident of Corbin's Bend, owns the local car wash, tennis pro, and very successful professional poker player and resigned to never marry because of his parents and their multiple failed marriages. Harris enjoys the DD lifestyle but does not want to be seriously involved in any relationship. Bring in a meddling matchmaking Aunt and chemistry, and you bring Abby and Harris together. But, can they survive when their differences surface.
A SIMPLE MISUNDERSTANDING (CORBIN'S BEND BOOK #7) by Kathryn R. Blake
First off, I commend Ms. Blake for having the guts to take a stand and write this story to be included in this wonderful Corbin's Bend Series. Abuse of any kind, be it physical or mental, is abuse. It also points out that even those who consensually adhere to a domestic discipline lifestyle that the head of household can overstep and abuse the rules of "Sane, Safe and Consensual." In this story, that is exactly what Author Benson has done. He has belittled and isolated Elly for his total obsessive control. It wasn't an easy story to read but needed to be shared. Elly is no pain slut, and her husband is definitely no decent man. Dr. Jerry Douglas becomes her advocate and eventual savior. In reality, until a woman is ready to ask for or accept help, she will remain a victim. You cannot blame her mentor or her neighbors when Elly refused to share. In reality, Elly had no support system, not even her own family, how is she to know what the difference is between correction and abuse?
SARAH'S TUTORIAL (Corbin's Bend Book 2) by Emily Tilton
Professor John Dunn, widower, mid-40s moves from the East coast to Corbin's Bend to live the lifestyle he craves and never had in his 20-year marriage. He had two BDSM relationships, but never the fulfillment he was seeking. He accepted a position at Sandy Ridge College in the History Department. Sarah Harshaw, 21-year old, was a student at Sandy Ridge and her parents live at Corbin Bend. Sarah is in John's Western Civ class for her Senior year. Sarah went to John with the intention of seducing him and in the process agrees via contract to be his submissive. This is their story, where he introduces her to the D/s lifestyle within BDSM that both of them crave, but with love between the two. This story includes an adult professor/student relationship; explicit sex, oral and anal sex, the use of sex toys and spankings, including the use of a cane.
LEADING THE WAY (CORBIN'S BEND Book 4) by Constance Masters
The story is another wonderful addition to the Corbin's Bend Series. Each book can read as a stand-alone but are too good to miss out on any of them. Corbin's Bend is a private community about an hour or so away from Denver, CO. It is a unique community in that it is designed for individuals, couples and even families that practice a "domestic discipline" lifestyle.
Zach and Erin Cunningham moved to Corbin's Bend when they marriage was taking a turn for the worse. Since they practiced a DD lifestyle, Zach felt it was best, and Erin agreed. But Erin wasn't making friends, and it took Zach giving her an ultimatum about contacting her mentor. A dinner party was arranged, and she realized how nice the neighbors were. Several of the other stays at home ladies invited her to join them on their Wednesday bowling league, but that was a cover-up for other activities, which lands them into legal trouble. Public discipline for the four was humiliating, but their idea for the kids as part of their weekly community service brought the entire community together in a very positive way.

LAST DANCE FOR CADENCE (CORBIN'S BEND BOOK 8) by Maren Smith
In this latest installment in the Corbin's Bend series, we meet Dr. Marcus Devon, a widower with three small boys to raise. He has lost his latest housekeeper/nanny because she is now a new mother with responsibilities of her own family. Cadence Westmore is an injured former dancer who has hit rock bottom and decides she has to get to her surrogate mother, Venia, who lives in Corbin's Bend. Browsing the help wanted ads she decides to try for the housekeeper/nanny position for Dr. Devon. He gives her the job, and she must accept the rules and regulations of Corbin's Bend, which includes her employer punishing her if she misbehaves. Welcome to Corbin's Bend is a collection of books to introduce a fictional spanking community. Each of these books brings you to Corbin's bend, a community with a small town feel, similar characters, and all catering to a spanking lifestyle. My absolute favorite part of this collection was that I was faced with a similar feel to the town, which included a community center, rules, characters, and spanking, but all told through different authors, their storytelling techniques, and unique characters that all fit into the special community. This collection will bring out all of the feelings, including heartache, tears, pain, but also forgiveness, joy, finding one's self, and love. I found each of these stories to not only capture my attention, but also capture my heart! I highly recommend this collection and hope you find much love throughout the pages!
Finding Their Bliss by Thianna D - The very first book to welcome you to Corbin's Bend, you get to meet Brent, a founding member and president of the homeowner's group, and Char, who just moved into the area but not under Corbin's Bend's rules. A snowy crash brings them together, an injury keeps them under the same roof, attraction and similar interests bind them together, but danger may tear them apart. I loved this book and the introduction to Corbin's Bend, and I loved Char's independence and confidence and how Brent was protective and such a compliment to Char!
Exile to Unity by Tara Finnegan - Ange and Jim make a last ditch effort to save their marriage by moving from Ireland to Corbin's Bend. While Ange is super headstrong and independent, Jim wants to try a Domestic Discipline arrangement in their marriage to build back their trust and love. Will their marriage fall apart, or will they be able to come back stronger than ever? Wow, this book was one to really pull at my heartstrings, and I loved Ange's character and how she responds to the DD lifestyle.
Long Shot by Cara Bristol - Abby travels to Corbin's Bend to stay with her aunt after her divorce. Harris never wants to get married, but enjoys the no-strings DD encounters he has had. With a matchmaking aunt, their encounters aren't always so innocent, but chemistry brings them together and soon, emotions are involved. Will Abby and Harris's relationship thrive, or will past hang-ups and Abby's ex break them apart before they even have a chance? This was a sweet book, and I loved how they both developed individually as their relationship progressed!
A Simple Misunderstanding by Kathryn R. Blake - Jerry is a veterinarian in Corbin's Bend, uncommitted to anyone special, but is deeply concerned about and connected to Elly. Elly is married to an extremely strict husband, with major concerns for emotional and physical abuse. Will Elly be able to understand she's being abused and have Jerry save her, or will her bonds to her husband keep her believing that it's all just a misunderstanding? Wow, this book was beautiful and ugly and maybe should have a trigger warning, but bring tissues for yourself and a huge heart for Elly and finding her happy ending!
Sarah's Tutorial by Emily Tilton - Sarah is a senior at a local college and has a serious crush and desire for her professor. John is a new professor, recently moved to Corbin's Bend, when he gets an interesting proposal by Sarah. As a Dom, he turns the tables on Sarah, and begins an intense and loving relationship where they explore their desires together. But when her family finds out about John, will her future stay bright with John, or dim being forced apart? This book was really interesting and I loved their interactions. It explored more of the Master/slave dynamic, but I loved that Sarah never lost sight of what she wanted most!
Leading the Way by Constance Masters - Zach and Erin recently moved to Corbin's Bend, following the DD lifestyle, and while Zach and his daughters seem to be flourishing under the new community's influence, Erin feels lost and very alone. Soon, Erin is persuaded to have a dinner party to get to meet some of the local couples and she even finds a few friends. But when their friendship involves illegal activities, will Erin continue to feel welcome in Corbin's Bend, or is her future with her husband and the community looking bleak? This book held a special place for me, knowing the difficulties of finding new friends, so I loved reading Erin's struggles and I loved the solution at the end!
For Ben by Kate Richards - Teri lives an incredibly fast-paced life, but luckily has her husband, Roy, to help balance her out. After the shocking news of the death of her sister, as well as finding out she will be the caregiver to her nephew, Ben. This is all about their adaption from a stressed out married couple to being loving and supportive parent-type figures to Ben, and all of the bumps and twists and turns that appear. Wow, bring more tissues for this book, because this was an emotional roller coaster of happiness and spanking and tears and anger and support and love. This book really stuck with me, even after I was done with the collection.
Last Dance for Cadence by Maren Smith - Marcus is Corbin's Bend's doctor, but also a struggling single dad to three rambunctious boys. Cadence moved in with her Mama Venia after a painful accident crushed her dreams and her bank account. Following an add to be a nanny, Cadence meets Marcus and his boys, but will she be able to handle the demands of the children, the demands of Marcus, and the demands of the community all with her still-healing legs, stubborn head, and confused heart? Wow, I think this may have been my favorite story in the collection, but I loved Marcus and Cadence together, I loved how she was so strong but learned how to accept help, and I loved the little boys!
