Avery Shaw is a woman on a mission and she's taking no prisoners.
Macomb County's favorite reporter is about to take on enemies, politicians and the typical criminals who populate her world. She's also prepared to win at all costs while going through life with a smile on her face and an insult on the tip of her tongue.
That's why people love her … and sometimes hate her … and almost always want to gag her.
This omnibus includes three full books: Off The Record, Unwritten & Underwater, and Extra! Extra! Dead All About It.

When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail.
Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.

I am just so loving this series - Avery and her life is just so addictive that I needed to binge on it, sad that I only have one more lot of audio to listen to.

This group of three stories was interesting, she is just so feisty. The relationships are developing and growing. Avery is such a different character than normal protagonists and just love the way she is written but also the narration. It so works.

Off to listen to the next group of books - it is that addictive.

I love the Avery Shaw Mystery Series of books, a snarky reporter, full of attitude, she always gets the murder mystery solved and manages to rub everyone up the wrong way, except her doting gorgeous boyfriend Elliot, I think all of us ladies could do with an Elliot in our life.

Hats of to Angel Clark her narration of this series is brilliant, she manages to bring all the characters personalities to life, and even has Avery's annoying snarky voice off to a T, she almost grates on you but you can't help but love her. Angel Clark narrates the whole series a whopping 18 books, with the most recent being released on 22.02.21.

An added bonus with this series is you do not need to buy the books as individually, if you check on Audible you can get them in bundles of 3, you get a lot of hours listening for your one credit. So far there are 18 books in the series, the last three have not yet been combined into a set.

I love these characters

Avery and Elliot are two of my favorite characters from any book. I'm always waiting for the next book. I enjoyed the three stories in books 10-12. Avery 's grandpa is a hoot. And I enjoy the mysteries which are really quite good. Once again, I 'm waiting for the next book. In the meantime I go back and read some of the books that I purchased even though I have kindle unlimited. Amanda Lee and Lily Harper Hart have become two writers that I really enjoy reading. Heather Graham is still on my list of favorites with her Krewe of Hunters series. The Avery Shaw series is, of course, one of my favorites.

What a way to catch up.

So I have binge read the first 12 Avery Shaw books and can truthfully say I'm looking forward to #13. It's certainly been a crazy ride. Between boyfriends past, present and best forgotten. A family weirder than the Munsters but prettier. Work bosses and colleagues that make WKRP in Cincinnati look like a drama. Too top it off every book has a brilliant criminal act for Avery to work out. I highly recommend this series, thank you Amanda M. Lee for the sass and snark that is Avery.

Such a great series. Murder, humour and a good love story.

I am absolutely loving this series. Now on book 12. Avery Shaw is a loud mouthed opinionated woman who gets up everyone's nose. However when in pursuit of a murderer in her relentless quest to be the best journalist in the country she is unbeatable. Amanda M Lee has created an unusual heroine. I can't wait to read the rest of this saga.

Good narration and she brings the character of Avery to life. She is one stubborn women and has a dangerous mouth speaking out against politician, murders, etc. Delightful series. Given audio for my voluntary review

Loved it!

Avery Shaw is in rare form throughout this series of stories. She's her usual snarky self but she is growing up, and fighting it every step of the way! I love how Avery and Eliot are together. He seems to understand how she works and goes to great lengths to make their relationship work, as does she. It's refreshing to see a not so perfect heroine win at both life and love.
