Everyone has their tastes, in my case I liked two stories most and found the others were less my kind of stuff. Still had a good laugh at "Do you trust me ? No. You're right. I tazed him.", and some other fun parts but beyond that it didn't really click for me1.

Snowbound by Of the Wilds :

In a post-apocalyptic and deserted world where old enmities no longer find purchase, two solitary survivors find they have more in common than they thought, when old fights have become irrelevant.
The writing is, as what I've read from the author so far, in the high tier with striking descriptions of the world and loneliness of the pov character.
Even if it goes slippy by its end, it does so after some relationship development.
It is not the first thing I read from the author, he has longer works where that development is taken much further, enough to make his characters and stories truly gripping.
If you like his style, consider taking the time for those.

Nothing Feathered, Nothing Gained by Resolute :

If having to decide between a proposal that you can't refuse, and passion, what would you choose ?
Aside from the simple yet efficient setup of the characters and what follows, nice too, the hints of this world make me want to look at other stories.

A very interested read of adult-themed anthropomorphic stories. You may like or not like certain stories depending upon your particular interests, but this is a good mix of a variety of tales with interesting characters and descriptions.

Don't give me that look, we're all into weird shit.

I actually picked this up solely because there was one story in it I wanted to read but I gave the rest of it a read too because it's only a hundred pages long or so. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this, and not just as smut which is how it's all packaged and marketed (and very much is).

Might as well go on a story by story basis. There are four stories here, each providing a very different take on furry smut with their own emotions and backdrops.

1. Snowbound by Of the Wilds - This is the one story that made me want to read this, and I actually saved it for last for that reason. It's far and away the best and longest piece in here, though I may be a little bit biased because of how obsessed with dragons I am. It's got smut, sure, but at its heart it's a story about two survivors in an empty, desolate landscape who find solace and strength in each other after years of being completely alone. The post-apocalyptic medieval fantasy backdrop is original and intriguing, and the characters and their chemistry are nothing short of wonderful. This is genuinely a fantastic piece of fiction by a writer I've heard nothing but good things about, and I'll be checking out more from him in the future.

2. Supernatural Delight by Whyte Yoté - I'll be honest, of all the stories here, this one did the least for me personally. it's far more focused on the erotic aspect than Snowbound, and did far less for me in that regard. The backdrop and cast, while interesting, didn't really click with me. But I've also developed a sort of respect for this one after thinking about it for a bit. There's absolutely an audience of older gay male furries that will absolutely eat this up, and the writing really commits to the kink factor. More than that, though, it's a story about alienation and found family that speaks to a very particular queer experience that I can't really relate to, but can absolutely respect. This story really wasn't for me, but it is for someone out there.

3. Nothing Feathered, Nothing Gained by Resolute - Setting aside the gorgeous gryphoness that absolutely steals the show here (I'm not biased I swear), this is an intriguing tale with a lot of intricate and textured worldbuilding that makes it a really fascinating read. The About the Authors section says that Resolute has written a number of stories in this world, and it really shows. It has this lived in feel to it that makes it clear that there is much, much more to this world, but at the same time it doesn't get too far ahead of itself, keeping things centered on the protagonist and the smut that comes in later. The furry fandom has got to be the only community I've found where a story written to be pure smut can have such interesting things going on in the peripherals.

4. Adrenaline High by Kandrel - Short, sweet, and to the point. Of all the stories here, this one probably has the least going for it outside of the smut. Sure, there's some world building around the edges, but it's pretty typical cyberpunk stuff with a furry flair - not that that's a bad thing mind you, just that by this point I feel like I've been spoiled. Still, it's a fun romp, and really manages to synthesize action and sex into the same fun, breakneck pace, which is an interesting thing I've not really seen before.

Anyway, this certainly won't be for everyone who follows my reviews, but for what it is it's pretty good and gave me a lot more to chew on than I expected. Would recommend for those interested.
