I am Daryl Omar Shabazz, an American Descendent of Slavery residing and raised in New Jersey. I began writing stories in the 3rd grade having learned how my ancestors had their eyes removed for reading. So, I read as much as I could. You read, you see the world the way it was and how it could easily become. I wanted people to be able to see the world through a Black man groping through this American Darkness. To give clarity while building a bridge to the world who was yet to fully understand our cries for equity and equality.

I write fantasy, fiction, romance, finances & economics usually from an Afrocentric or multicultural perspective. My books are for those who want to understand and then conquer capitalism. I do not write self-help my writing is the help. You can read my books to gain perspective into relationships, human psychology, world politics, religion & spirituality and building generational wealth.

I look forward to hearing feedback about my writing!

Phenomenal Storytelling & Inspiring!

I loved how the author set the scene and developed his characters. He enabled the story to really “come alive.” Overall the story flowed really well and there were no dull moments. As someone who doesn’t like to read more than 20 minutes at a time, I was able to read the book all at once because of the fluidity it has been written in. The story has many underlying themes that can easily be related to our modern day society. The underlying theme resonating with me is IGNORANCE. This correlates directly to how there were other slaves who weren’t freed because they didn’t KNOW (they were IGNORANT) they could be FREE! Many in our modern day society are ignorant to know there is a better way to live and thrive by learning YOU are the source of the positive emotions (LOVE, PEACE, and JOY). You must learn to build a loving relationship with yourself before you can love anyone else. Anyway, this book inspired me. I’d recommend it for anyone who likes a good story with deeper underlying themes at its core!
