This was a read aloud with the kids. It was a fun ride that had us chuckling at parts. The kids enjoyed watching the movie after too!

What is not to love about Peter Rabbit? Such a fun read keeping you on the edge of your seat as Peter Rabbit is always causing mischief landing him and his siblings into trouble. First of all it was with Mr McGregor; in his back garden. Once Peter Rabbit gave Mr McGregor a heart attack, he died and his nephew (also called Mr McGregor) moved into the house. Peter Rabbit and his siblings continued to cause havoc for Mr McGregor until one day Mr McGregor had decided he had had enough and wanted to get ride of the rabbits once and for all. He set up explosives which didn't end up blowing up the rabbits as they dodged them but ended blowing up his next door neighbours house by accident! In the end, Mr McGregor and the rabbits sort out their difference and Peter Rabbit doesn't want anyone else to live in Mr McGregor's house but him.

The kids chose this from the library as they loved the film. But, as I expected, the book of the film was not as good as the actual film and they weren’t overly interested in listening to me read it to them. We gave up quite quickly.

Loved the film to bits so of course had to read the novelisation. I’m 27 so I know this was based on a much younger audience haha. A good read overall though 🥕🥕

Peter rabbit is a story I read when I was a child so reading the new version of it and watching the movie is like reliving childhood memories so this book was great.
