Starry Nights: A Movie Star Romance
Sometimes even being a movie star can't buy you a second chance with the girl you still hunger for.

Shane:
My life as a movie star has been great, don't get me wrong. But after a while, it started to feel so empty.
I don't know who I can trust. I don't know if people want the movie star persona or if they're interested in the real me.
I'm tired of the meaningless sex and the fake women. I'm ready for someone who's real.
Someone like Maggie... my Maggie.
It's been ten years, but when I looked into her eyes, I swear could still feel her in my arms like it was yesterday.
When I saw her, I panicked. I retreated into 'movie star Shane.'
It's become this habit I can't shake after so many years.
Now we're on opposite sides of this land deal, and it's like she actually thinks I don't love the island as much as she does.
And she thinks I don't care about her.
But she's wrong.
Maggie:
So, the big movie star's come back to his hometown. No doubt to impress everyone with his good looks and money.
He actually has the nerve to try and buy up protected land on our island for his own use...and for profit.
Typical, selfish movie star behavior. Somehow I expected more though.
And then, he acted like he didn't even remember what happened between us.
I guess I really was just one in a long line of faceless girls to him.
But I'll never forget the way his lips tasted or the way his body felt when it was pressed against mine.
And now I have to pretend that I don't remember either, otherwise, it's hurts too much.
Shouldn't be too hard, because, on all accounts, he's turned into just another cocky bastard.
And if he thinks he's going to buy up our island, he's going to see how little all of his movie star charm gets him.
At least that's what my head is saying…
I'm trying really hard to listen to my head right now because that million-watt smile of his is tearing me up inside.

I loved this book! Even though it is a quick read, I did not get the feeling that it was rushed, like many of the shorter books that I have read. I felt like that still the author did a great job developing the characters, as well as the storyline. It is a really sweet, second chance romance, which is very different from what I have come to expect from JB Duvane, but she did it just as well as I have always seen. It takes place on one of the smaller, quieter, beautiful islands of Hawaii. It is a story of Shane, who is a big time actor that has come home to the place that he grew up, where he meets back up with Maggie, that he has not seen since they kissed 10 years ago in their cove. It is a story of trust, love, and second chances. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and I highly recommend it.

What is this rubbish?! He came back to the island after 10 years with a girlfriend, saw her, broke it off with his girlfriend and immediately have sex with the heroine. The next morning came all the the misunderstandings with legal and reporter. All resolved and HEA.

This cute and sexy book is a second chance, movie star romance. It has dual points of view and a happy ever after. It was a feel good read that made me smile. I loved Maggie and Shane's story.

Loved this book.
What a different read from JB Duvane. A light short romance. I loved it, still a really enjoyable read.
Maggie still lives on Kauai the Island she grew up on. She loves going to her secret cove. A place she had a special night, a special kiss that's stayed with her for 10 years. With her school friend Shane.
Shane left the Island and became a hot action movie star. Now he's moving back with his model girlfriend Brittney. Buying up that very cove. Brittney hated Island life
Maggie and Shane reconnect the chemistry is still there between them. Could Shane really feel the same about their 1 kiss as Maggie does?
A misunderstanding on both sides ripe's them apart. Before they can find out if their feelings are the same. Can they sort things out and be together?
Will they both get what makes them happy?

This sweet romance story was very different from the dark romance this author normally writes. It was good though, and I enjoyed it. Maggie and Shane got a second chance at romance when he came back home after being away for 10 years. There were a few bumps in the road but nothing they couldn't get past. I liked the epilogue. It was cute.

I enjoyed this book a second chance romance with a great storyline and chemistry and fast paced well written ive read a few of JB Duvane's books and must say she did surprise me with this story as she's a dark book writer but yes I enjoyed the story I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

This was a fast moving sweet romance. Loved the setting (Hawaii - what's not to love, right?). The characters were good, the sex was hot and it ended in a HEA. Very different from what Ms. Duvane usually writes but a very good read.

Loved the movie star and old flame story. I also loved it being set on an island. Gave the story a more romantic feel. Great read.

If you're familiar with JB Duvane's work, you will be pleasantly surprised with this book. Most of JB's novels are dark reads, Starry Night is a happy contemporary love story. It is very fast paced but I didn't find it to bothersome since the characters had a history.
I recommend this novel to anyone looking for a quick, sweet read. The obstacles presented are very light and as previously mentioned, move quickly.
