Working for Karma Incorporated might sound like the best job in the world, but there’s one really big catch: you’ve got to die to get it. Cassie Mercer died and is now employed by the Afterlife Corporation as a Karma operative. Her job duties include manifesting bad karma on unsuspecting victims.
Two months into her internship Cassie is promoted and given her first solo case. His name is Bishop and he is a cheat. He needs some bad karma, and Cassie’s the right girl for the job.
Inflicting a bit of payback on this cheat should be easy for Cassie, so she gets permission from her boss to do a little investigating on her own time.
And oh boy Bishop has truly earned bad karma....

Cheat is a paranormal novel about "Afterlife" and Karma. I really really liked this book and couldn´t put it down.
I like all books from this author , but Cheat is my favorite so far and I can´t wait till the next installment. 5 Stars !!
Shark is the second book in the series and picks up where Cheat left off. Cassie´s next case is : Working for Karma Incorporated might sound like the best job in the world, but there’s one really big catch: you’ve got to die to get it. While Cassie works her cases she has a private investigator hired to investigate her own dead.
Liar can be read as stand alone, but for better understanding I recommend to read Cheat and Shark- book one and two- first.
I greatly enjoyed reading this book. Liar is a fun read.
I loved the NOLA series by Gillian Zane and I love her Karma Inc. series too. 5 Stars
Creep by the incredible talented and outstanding bestselling author Gillian Zane is the fourth book in the Karma Inc. Series.
Creep can be read as a standalone, but for better understanding I recommend to read the books in order. The previous books in the series are Cheat; Shark ; Liar and now Creep.
Creep picks up where Liar left off.
Cassandra Mercier, she died at age 21 and now is employed as Karma Operative for Karma Inc. THE Afterlife Corporation. At the end of Liar her lover died, and she´s beneath herself.
And now she has a new case assigned to her.
Her new task is to play a psychic medium, her targets are twin siblings who con and sham their victims. But the case gets more complex when real ghosts show up. To make matters more complicated an old lover and a goddess with her own agenda show up too. She´s eaten up by self doubts. Life and death aren´t what they seem anymore.
I read Creep in one sitting. I was hooked from page one and couldn´t put it down. I love the story and the characters. The writing is great and I could feel the characters emotions in the words.
This story has it all—tension, angst, suspense and heartbreak. I've smiled, laughed, cried and was angry at some point. It is not often I feel so connected to the characters, but Gillian Zane has accomplished just that.
Gillian Zane is one of my few one-click authors. I loved her NOLA Series very much, just like I love the Karma Inc Series. I really can´t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.
I highly recommend Creep and wish I could give more than 5 stars. Thank you so much, Gillian Zane!
Killer by Gillian Zane is book 5 and the final installment in the Karma Inc. Case Series.

Working for Karma Incorporated took it´s toll on Cassie. She´s so so tired, you can feel her fatigue in the words. And now her latest case brings her to her former workplace. Her former good friend and colleaque Troy is now on her agenda. Cassie is torn. He isn´t a bad guy, but had done some bad things. Should she destroy his career over this ? She was set up to fail from the Powers To Be, and fail she did - in the best way.
Reading Killer was bittersweet and I have mixed feelings about Killer. Finally Cassie gets the answers to her questions. And oh boy, of that twist I never had dreamt of. She gets her so very well deserved and hard earned HEA. But and yes there´s a but - there´ll be no more new cases.
I greatly enjoyed reading Killer, the writing is excellent and I immediatedly connected with the characters.
All in all I highly recommend this boxed set. I read and reread the stories all the time and now I have them all in one place . Yay ! I recommend the book and the series and give 5 stars.
