Sally’s search for Earth isn’t off to a good start: chased out of her hotel room and into the broom closet of a spaceship, she’s accidentally become a stowaway on the Alliance Flagship, Traveler.
But when sabotage and murder show the crew’s true colors, Zander and Blayde are forced to stay and help them out of their mess. Lies, drama, and deceit lead them light years away to a mysterious planet on the edge of the galaxy, where the crew must band together just to stay alive. Which would be much easier if they didn’t have to deal with a diva first-mate, a droid with a religious obsession, and Blayde’s Ex whose brain is a spaceship.
Finding Earth has to be put on the back burner, as Sally’s stuck tending alien boo-boos - and she still has no idea what she’s doing. And she might live long enough to get off the planet in one piece.

***I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review*** Another great book in the series! An action-packed tale full of plot twists. Love the main characters. Can't wait to read more stories in this series.
Traveler was another fiver for me! Starstruck has quickly become one of my favorite series! I have not been able to get enough of Sally, Zander, and Blayde!
Since this was book 3 in the Starstruck series, I won’t be going in to any details, to avoid spoilers. I thoroughly enjoyed it though. So, I’ll talk about how fun and exciting it was.
This one had an enjoyably fast pace, and plenty of action! I loved where the story took us this time. Anderson never ceases to amaze with her writing and story telling. I loved how vividly detailed everything was, and how she kept the feel of the first book, even though we met new characters, and traveled to a different setting.
Once again, Sally blew me away. She has a real knack for getting out of sticky situations, while keeping her wits about her. She was brave and kick ass without stepping outside of her own personality and mannerisms. She was just Sally, and I loved her.
Zander and Blayde changed a little for me, but in good ways. They kept their mystery. Blayde kept her snark, and Zander kept his aloofness. But, they also both became a little more personable, and both grew on me (if this was even possible).
Through all the adventure and danger, Anderson was able to capture raw emotion and weave it in to the blanket of space and time. She brought up past issues that Sally hadn’t quite worked through completely. She brought up new issues for the trio to tackle, found a way to bring up a discussion about fate and faith, and she introduced and developed some dynamic characters, like Ter and Kork, that won’t be forgotten. She did all of this while keeping the humor, pop culture references, and excitement in the series. My only negative was realizing I now have to wait for book 4!
I had the opportunity to read this e-ARC for free, in exchange for my honest review, after connecting with the author through The Book Robin Hoods site.
AHHH THIS SERIES IS SOOOO AHHHMAZZZINGGG! FULL REVIEW WILL BE LIVE TOMORROW!
I didn’t think it was possible to fall deeper in love with a series, but that’s exactly what happened with the Starstruck Saga. S.E. Anderson is simply brilliant and once again had me completely hooked from beginning to end.
Traveler, like its fantastically awesome predeceors, was a book I found to be extremely difficult to put down, but at the same time never wanted to finish. I’ve been in love with Anderson’s creative world building and writing style and I can honestly say that her stories just keep getting better and better. This book was such a blast to experience. I mean that by the way — cause you’re not just reading when it comes to this series… you will FEEL like you’re actually part of the journey and kicking ass along with the characters!
There were so many things going on in this book that at times it felt really chaotic. But, it was without a doubt the BEST kind of chaos. Anderson never fails to surprise me and I always have such an incredibly awesome time reading her stories. Traveler definitely took the spunk, wit, and craziness on another level. There was never a single dull moment and I absolutely enjoyed never knowing exactly just where the story was going. It was satisfyingly fast-paced with plenty of action, jaw-dropping twist and turns, hilarious dialogue, sweet moments, and of course some insane intergallic fun as everything goes from bad to worse… Cause that’s just the way it is. Zander, Sally and Blayde always seem to fall into the best misfortunes in all of the galaxies. Which, if you ask me, is definitely not a bad thing. I really loved being able to spend time with my favorite space squad. Oh and I also liked that there was a little bit more romance. There were some kissing, touching and swoony scenes. Even if it wasn’t what I expected, I thought it was still cute. Not going to say anymore and ruin the fun for you, but if you’ve read Starstruck and Alienation, then just be preprared for whatever comes. In this series, anything is a possibility…literally ANYTHING.
The characters were just as great and even more lovable. It was really nice to see Sally grow into a badass heroine. Not that she wasn’t before, but she definitely stepped up. She was fierce, driven, and still as adorable as ever. Blayde was sassy like always. She did take a little backseat in this one, but I liked that Anderson gave a little glimpse at her sensitive and sweet side. Zander… well he’s Zander. Always charming, a little mysterious, and forever protecting and looking out for Sally. The new additions were pretty awesome too. Nim was interesting and I can’t wait to see more of him. BUT, it was Two who stole a piece of my heart. Two made me laugh so many times and I enjoyed every scenes with him.
This book is hands down my favorite so far. Not only was it insanely fun, but every aspect of this book was flawlessly structured, breathtaking and left me wanting more. I traveled to fascinating destinations, met new characters that were quirky and fun, and saw the awesome trio take on the universe once again. But what I loved most about Traveler was how admist all the chaos, mishaps, twists and turns, Anderson managed to incorporate some real life issues… Issues that are actually very present right now in the real world. I really love books that not only entertain, but also inspire me to think about what’s truly important in life.
With an amazingly evocative and vivid writing style, chock full of humor, a thrilling storyline, quirky and multidimensional characters, and new adventures, Traveler is such a delightful read. I smiled, I laughed, and had the most wonderful and hilariously fun space travel experience. I definiely cannot wait where Sally, Zander, and Blayde will jump to next. Will they land at the wrong place at the wrong time again… or are they actually jumping to places they’re destined to be… Who knows?
Current Status: Impatiently waiting for Book 4. Anderson, is it possible to time travel a few months into the future so I can find out what happens next?
Huge thanks to S.E. Anderson and Bolide Publishing for sending me an ARC and a copy of this book. But, I knew I would love it, so I actually preordered the ebook. Now I have three copies I can take with me everywhere!
All thoughts and opinions are my own. And if you ask me, I definitely think you should start this series right now.

“Praise the creator! What a glorious world! What a glorious day!”

I can honestly say that the Starstruck saga is my new favourite! S.E.Anderson is a phenomenal writer and storyteller as I loved every aspect of Traveler! This fast paced adventure dug deep into my soul as I could not put the book down! Sally, Zander and Blayde take on another adventure as Traveler not only satisfies your sci-fi loving needs but also your favourite trio is back at it again as they take on the world, one alien at a time.
Without giving away any spoilers, I absolutely love how the story is expanding to something much more than just a normal sci-fi adventure because well, what fun would that be? S.E.Anderson gives such a unique take on an alien experience that will leave you wanting more and quivering through every chapter. Yes, it is that good.
“It sounds like they wanted to sacrifice us, captain.”
As the relationships we have come to know and love in the first two books are expanded and become more intensifying, Anderson's writing give you the feeling as you are watching a movie before your eyes. I can honestly say that this book is hands down my favourite book I have ever read and I can’t wait to read more of S.E. Anderson’s work! I would recommend not only this book but this saga to anyone who loves Sci-fi, fiction, a great adventure and your favourite characters!

The third book in the Starstruck Series, Traveler, by S.E. Anderson is incredible! There’s nothing I like more than getting to spend more time with the characters I’ve come to know and love so much. The familiar alien snark, comedic dialogue, and brilliant writing rang through in this book as much, or even more, than the previous books. This story, though only a small part of a much bigger story, was brilliantly structured, and left you itching to read more. By the end of the book, though I was more than satisfied with the way it ended, I was still furiously tapping on the screen hoping that there would be more pages! Where will our favourite trio jump to next? Will Sally ever get back to Earth? I suppose we’ll have to stay tuned for book 4… I can’t wait!
I received an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book, but not as much as I enjoyed Alienation. I found myself only reading a few chapters before getting a little bored and having to stop for a bit.
I found the pacing for Traveler to be a little slow at times. The characters were okay, but I do wish you got to know them a bit better. A lot of new characters were introduced in this one and I often found myself confused as to who they were and what their role was in the story.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Sally, Zander and Blayde are back in for another exciting adventure through the universe. This time they find themselves in the middle of Star Trek, well kind of. They are thrust in the middle of adventure that they didn’t see coming. They have to help their new friends. Traveler is fast paced and action packed. I was so excited that this book had more of wit and humor from the first book. Once again Zander just outshined everyone, he’s such a fun character. Honestly even Blayde grew on me in this book! Sally proved her worth on multiple occasions as well. This was a great sci-fi read and I hope to read more about their adventures in the future!
Traveler reminded me of Galaxy Quest, which I love. Lots of action, a few twists, and of course, things going from bad to worse. Sally seems to be settling in with the jumping. We learn a bit more about Zander and Blayde. It seems there is something or someone working behind the scenes and directing the group towards an unknown. Can't wait for the next one. I received an ebook at no charge for which I voluntarily provided an honest review.
I'm learning to set aside a biannual day for myself, as the Starstruck fantasy world claims priority over my reality every time! For those of us who need reliable escapist entertainment, Sally is proving herself able to get into a good pickle time and again, and without getting so full of herself that she loses her sense of humor in the face of life-threatening extraterrestrial encounter. A good thing, because once again she encounters a whole new world of amusing characters, which I will refrain from introducing to spare the spoilers. There's even a moment of interpersonal warmth that grows to an inferno, and again, I'll spare the spoiler but to say it was expertly handled! By the fires of Derzan, I can't wait for the next instalment!
I nabbed a copy for myself when the ARCs landed on the doorstep in exchange for a fair and honest review. Just because the author claims my postal address is no reason I shouldn't be forthcoming as to whether or not the books are any good, and YES, IT REALLY MOST DEFINITELY IS!
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review... LOVED this new installment in the Starstruck series. Reading an S.E. Anderson book is like sitting down to coffee with your hilarious bes friend who also travels through space. Sometimes the reality of being in space is crazy by itself, and sometimes it's just relationships that are strange and amazing. That's the best part about this book. Space is the backdrop for the often random happenstances of life. I wish that the Blayde-Jurrah relationship had been more fully fleshed out, but I have a feeling it's not the last we've seen of Jurrah's character. Overall, an excellent read, with the hint of more to come!
These are the three words that perfectly describe Traveler, the third book in the Starstruck Series written by the talented S.E. Anderson.
I like how the plot is fast-paced and full of action. The writing style is humorous and very easy to read. The author did a great job describing each scene and place. There are a lot of culture references like Star Trek which I simply adore. The book also includes amusing and interesting characters.
The only minor issue for me is the lack of character development. Maybe we get to see some of it on the next book.
I gave this book 4/5 stars.
Thank you Bolide Publishing for providing me an earc in exchange for an honest review.
Traveler is the third book in S.E. Anderson’s Starstruck Saga and I think it might just be my favourite yet. It follows the usual crew—Sally, Zander, and Blayde—as they become stuck on a broken spaceship...only to discover everything is not as it seems and there are definite bad guys hanging among them.
This book has so many twists! I was actually speechless with the one involving the ship’s crew! And equally, the one at the 75% mark involving Kork surprised me too. I totally did not see that coming.
And Kork—okay, I loved him. He’s definitely my favourite character now.
The last quarter of this book was what really made it an absolutely fantastic read for me. Everything came together and I loved how it reminded us of things in the first two books, pulling on strands of those plots and incorporating them into the end of book three—yet doing this in a way that still leaves an unanswered question for the next book. Because of this amalgamation of different plot elements, Traveler has a ‘wider’ feel than the other two books, and Sally also seems more mature and we see more character growth.
The other thing I loved about this book was the Star Trek references! Adding this contemporary angle to a book which takes place in the near future and involves space travel and alien adventures made it more relatable—plus, hearing that Sally is a big Star Trek fan too also helps make her more relatable and allows her to call out elements that seem too much like “plot points in a film” in the scenarios that happen to her on the spaceship. That was a really nice touch.
All in all, this is a fast-paced, wild space adventure with diverse characters, humour, and just the right amount of action.
I received a digital arc in exchange for an honest review. This is simply my opinion on the book and is not influenced by any external factor.
Just as exciting and enthralling as the previous ones, with possibly more humour.
This time, Sally, Zander and Blayde jump aboard the Traveler, an Alliance Flagship with a crew who is idolized throughout the universe.
Again, an amazing cast of characters, a creatively thought-out and thorough world and a capitvating plot, coupled with a good dose of humour, especially with the droid MOHA/Two. Case in point, this quote:
“Great, so this is the team I have: a religious droid, a criminal mastermind and an Earth girl who’s on her first trip off-world.”
And the chapter where Zander accidently creates a new religion is priceless!
Here we see more references to traditional sci-fi media, especially Star Trek, with the inclusion of Captain Kork, and this installment being set on a spaceship.
Like the previous books, there is strong language and innuendo, and no explicit sexual content however, it is implied as it states that some characters have undressed.
I think to be honest that this was my favourite out of the series to date. There were so many twists and turns, I felt disappointed when it was over. Good thing there’s still two more in this series
I received a free copy for an honest review. I love, love, love this series. I was hoping for a little something between Zander and Sally but it's like a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it would be majorly cliched to have that happen and on the other, the fact that they are friends doesn't impede the story. Things continue to go wonky for the magnificent trio and hilarity ensues. Another side of Blayde is shone that is the cherry on top. As much as I love Zander and Sally, I wished there was more of Blayde. I live for her snarky comments. Zander just gets more amazing and I feel like his character is so multi-dimensional. Sally is getting better at being a space traveler and is getting bolder, I like that. This one was more tense at times but given the situation, I can hardly fault it. I cannot wait for the next one!!! I would encourage any and all to read this series.
Traveler was so much fun, and had me laughing out loud (so much so that I disrupted my husband's sleep)! This is another fun romp through the universe as Sally and her alien friends kidnap a child from a pre-contact civilization, join the crew of the Alliance's most famous spacecraft, and uncover a "who-donnit" murder mystery on board. A fact paced, Tacoblocko ride that will leave you glad that the next book has already been written.
I adored the first two books and so knew I was in for a treat with this book and I was blown away by how good it was! You pick up with Sally, Zander and Blayde almost instantly from the end of the second book and immediately you're thrown into the action and drawn into the page with Anderson's unique writing style. I adored following Sally on her next adventure and loved every minute of this book. I will be eagerly awaiting book four!! Highly recommended!
This series is just loads of fun! I loved the change of pace with the characters joining forces with a crew on board a well-known space ship, and watching them scramble to fix it and handle some intergalactic tensions. The characters are every bit as lovable as ever. Read it, you won't be disappointed!
I was pleased again, to go on an adventure with Sally. Each book, the author has taken the crew through a new adventure. I enjoyed this one more than I did the last. Finding out more about the main characters as you go, keeps the reading light and fun. I can’t wait to find out more.
The dialogue continues with witty humour. I can count some really good moments where I was enthralled or cringing. The characters were a lot more well connected and I found Sally's caring side for the first time. This is a really good read.
It’s my stop on the blog tour! I was so excited when Bolide Publishing sent out a request for bloggers to join Traveler’s blog tour – I had devoured books 1 and 2 so immediately signed up to this. I received an e-copy of Traveler in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
Sally is one of those characters that just surprises you at every turn. Upon meeting her back in book 1 I thought she might be the sort to annoy me; cower away from any sort of adventure but be dragged into it anyway, but not in the slightest (though we saw that much earlier on that this book). This one was back to the usual humour we experienced in book 1 and the first half of the book wasn’t quite as serious as book 2. So it was a nice balance throughout the book as the latter half then took a major turn and brought a more intense feeling to the story.
A whole host of new characters were introduced which for a while took me some time to get accustomed to, but the main ones stood out and provided the expected entertainment and I’ve come to expect from this series. Again we also had the nods back to earth Sci-Fi humour which was great for any Trekkie!
I have come to expect big things from this series after how much I adored book 1 and 2, if you have read my reviews for that (Starstruck available here, and Alienation available here) you will know that I love the fresh approach on a sci-fi novel, where the adventure is the highlight of the story, not the certain apocalypse that will befall the universe should the protagonist fail (as is usually the case).
Anderson’s descriptions are perfect, detailed, and in most places; simply hilarious. I particularly love Zander’s regeneration scenes. We didn’t see much of Blayde in this book so Sally and her weren’t able to continue to build their “friendship” as with the previous book. That was one aspect I thought this book was missing; character development. Zander and Sally’s relationship did take a bit of a turn following the chaos onboard the Traveler and the influence from crew members, but I still love them both the same. Still not sure I root for them as a couple but if they’re happy, then I’m happy.
The plot as usual was captivating and exciting, providing all the thrills and laughs for the reader and characters alike. It’s easy to read language and structure makes it enjoyable for so many age groups.
Overall I’m awarding this book 4.5*/5. I really enjoyed the plot and humour again, and the balance of detail and adventure was great making it a fast paced and enchanting read. Reading this series just makes me wish space travel was an everyday thing for Earth – who knows, for some planets it may well be! I would recommend this 100% if you’ve read any of the previous books, and again if you enjoy a sci-fi adventure that’s speedy and genuinely exciting and new.

Synopsis: Still trying to find Earth again, Zander, Sally and Blayde jump through the galaxy and end up on a spaceship. But the crew is a little weird and then, of course, chaos ensues, having everybody fight for their survival.
My thoughts: I really loved the story! It was engaging with lots of tense and funny moments and an interesting solution I didn’t see coming. There are some overarching threads now, that will span several novels and I’m so excited for that!
Sally was her usual best and also grew a little, gaining a bit of confidence and showing her strenghts. Zander is his usual goofy self, honestly, I just want to give him a big hug! I thought Jurrah and Nim, two of the new side characters, were a little bland and didn’t get as much time as they should have. The crew was interesting though, and Kork was just the best! He seemed like a really lovely guy.
We finally got to see a spaceship in this series and I love it! The idea of an astrogator sounds really cool and I would’ve loved to hear more about that. Tying that in with the whole politics and propaganda aspect was well done. The new planet we saw was interesting enough, especially with yet another AI running havoc.
Sally’s thoughts and emotions were understandable and I really felt for her. Her descriptions were lovely and on point. All in all, this book was a very cool sci-fi read and I can’t wait to read the next one. So, five stars it is!
Traveler, the third installment in S.E. Anderson's Starstruck series, might not be as laugh-out-loud funny as its predecessors, but it is quite possibly the best, most well-rounded entry in the series to this point.
A cross between Galaxy Quest and Clue, this latest has us join Sally, Zander, and Blayde as they appear on a rather large spaceship -- one that winds up being not quite was it seems. In fact, very little is as it seems in this book, which in the hands of a less capable writer would be frustrating. But Anderson's attention to character detail, and her ability to know when to let a moment breathe, make the journey worthwhile.
Though the outright laughs are not as plentiful in Traveler, there is still a whimsy to it all. The doom and gloom are doomier and gloomier than before, but Anderson never lets us forget how utterly ridiculous this all is. After all, Sally's on a spaceship. There's Star Trek fanfic. And a robot trying to do its best Billy Graham impression.
Yet it all works.
All three books in the series to this point have taken place in different locales, and Anderson is showing that she's just as good at building multiple worlds as she is in crafting memorable characters. Her love for the genre is obvious, even in the moments when she lampoons it, and that's just another piece of the puzzle that makes Traveler such a great read.
If you're not in on this series yet, you really should be.
“Is is just me or is this AI-turning-bad becoming a common thread in my life?”
Traveler is the third book in the Starstruck Saga by SE Anderson, and so far, it is my favorite book of the saga.
This book was funny, it was action-packed, it was full of a crew of characters who have a spot in my all time favorite characters list. S.E Anderson’s writing style is just meant for me. Her sense of humor is on point and I love it.
We are introduced to a new cast of characters who are just as easy to enjoy and fall in love with. The adventures in this book were so much fun, and so surprising. The plot twists came out of nowhere. The jokes landed perfectly.
I can’t rave enough about this saga! I honestly love it!
This installment of the Starstruck series was just as good as the first two. Sally is growing into her character so well. The other characters are well thought out and have the appropriate amount of depth for their role. The imagination of this author is immense. I have not read a Sci-fi that is funny, relatable, and otherworldly all in one breath. S.E. Anderson has done a great job carrying this series through the third book and I can't wait to find out what trouble they all get into for book 4.
I received a final copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. Ugh! These books just keep getting better and better! This one was just as amazing than the last 2! Sally is really starting to become a savage and Blayde is starting to grow on me. I loved how at the end of chapter 1, Sally says “How much trouble could we get into on an hour?” and then the chapter header of chapter 2 is “You can actually get into a lot of trouble on an hour”. It was funny and outstanding and I so can’t wait to sink my teeth into the next one!
I'm really enjoying this series and each book just keeps drawing me further and further in. The Trek references in this book don't hurt either. With everything happening and the jumps being as chaotic as they are it's fun winding up in extremely different environments is spectacular to read.
This series is also converting me more to the genre as previously fantasy has been my preferred reading since childhood.
Now off to reading the next book in this fantastic series.
Another action filled adventure with Sally, Zander, and Blayde! There is never a dull moment when you dive into space with one of my favorite trios. They continue on their search for earth with a couple of snags along the way. Anderson builds a world vividly that you can almost reach out and touch it. The pages are filled with action, snark, humor, adventure, and oh no he didn’t moments. Once you get sucked in it’s hard to come up for air.
Fabulous. Absolutely fabulous series. Is there going to be more? I really, really hope so as I want to see if Sally and Zander finally get together. I loved the internal dialogue with Sally - so very funny. All in all a very highly recommended series.
