A fantastic little book! Very easy to flick through and quickly get some ideas which you can use in the classroom instantly. Would definitely recommend!

I am currently a Primary School Teaching Assistant focussing on children with Special Educational Needs and am considering moving into teaching within the next couple of years.
Not having come from an education background myself (I did a history degree then did youth work for a voluntary year with my church) I have taken it upon myself to get in as much study as I can manage in the weekend and this marks the first-fruits of that effort.
I have not, as of yet, been able to make practical use of this book, but from reading alone it is fantastic! The chapters average about 8 pages a piece with half of that made up of suggestions and ideas which can be developed, adapted or simply used for your class. It is a book I will be going back to again and again, and its brevity allows this whilst in no way limiting its usefulness. In my day-to-day work with some very challenging children it is easy for my head to drop when I think about the difficulties I face, but reading through the pages of this book has reminded me of the passion I feel towards the children I am ultimately working for.
Teaching books are expensive and this 120 page book costs over £15, but I would highly recommend getting a hold of this and having a read any way you can.

This is a brilliant and highly accessible read, the kind that you can easily pick up and put down between coffee breaks. Full of loads of easily actionable activities and ideas for use in your classroom, many of which will be applicable regardless of the year group you are teaching, I thoroughly recommend reading this book (and keeping it handy) as you go into your NQT year.

Very good read. Many ideas that helped my classroom straight away, and some more that I can implement next year! If you're a newly qualified teacher, or you just want to 'jazz up' your teaching style, check this out.

I dipped into this book rather than reading the whole thing, not the best textbook for helping, but I did find some parts relevant to my degree and classroom experience.

Some really great information in here but I'd have liked to have seen more emphasis on learning strategies to give a more student centred approach.

This gave me so many actionable ideas to use in the classroom it is actually ridiculous! Love this and would recommend to all primary teachers.
