For the Wayfair Witches, the romantic season is beginning. Unfortunately, it’s beginning with a murder.

When Nancy Berry is killed during spring celebrations, the reason seems clear to her coven leader. Will Berry believes that Nancy was killed as a threat, to force him to vote the right way in an upcoming election.

But Wanda thinks there’s a far more fiendish reason for Nancy’s murder. She suspects Nancy was killed by the mysterious assassins known as the Dark Team.

Wanda and the gang are closer than ever to tracking the killers down, but they might be about to experience a slight delay ...

Because while the romantic season might have begun with a murder, it hasn’t stopped the Wayfair women feeling amorous. Maybe even a little too amorous ...

Could there be a love potion at work?

The entire time I was reading this story it had me saying “what in the world is going on!?”

There were a lot of crazy shenanigans going on throughout the book and a lot of it was, for lack of a better term, frustrating. I don’t mean frustrating in a negative way at all. That’s how you’re meant to be feeling. Weird things are happening with the Wayfair ladies and you’re left cocking your head going “whaaaat?” You can feel the frustration that Wanda and Finn are going through trying to figure out what’s going on. It was the first time Albright has brought this feeling into a story so I found it to be fun.

The climax of the book is really what made this book. It was stressful and terrifying. The reveals were all insane too. This was a great instalment in the Wayfair Witches series.

AT LAST.

BLOG || INSTAGRAM

I was hoping this installment was going to give me some things that I needed to happen to want to continue.

THEY DID. So here I am, still fully invested six books in.

In a simple story line there was a lot to unpack. This focused more on Wanda’s romance life and brought us up to speed on where we all know that’s going. I thought it was quirky with everything happening, making me very happy that this mystery was solved. Because I definitely sat here most of the book going, what is happening?!?

All of the reveals had me dropping my jaw, and also saying, I KNEW IT.

Give me a fabulous ending and I’m reading to follow Wanda onto the next mystery. I love the simplicity of these stories and seriously, the absolute coziness. These fit their genre incredibly well and have become a comfort read I can rely on to have a good time.

Overall audience notes:
- Paranormal cozy mystery
- Language: none
- Romance: kisses; some innuendo
- Violence: murder, kidnapping

Imbolc

Yeah, Imbolc is an amorous witches holiday, but boy is the love overflowing! Nancy Berry is murdered at a celebration when the lights go out. But later that evening, instead of diving into things, the Wayfair women are drinking a bottle of wine and then wanting to get, um, cuddly, with their men. Of the Wayfair women, Wanda seems to be the only one interested in getting to the bottom of things. Then she gets wonky and then even more insanity breaks loose. The Dark Team vampires are really upping their agenda and it’s a doozy! Wait until you dive into this installment!

Honestly. I liked the other books much better than this one. This one tended toward the silly side due to the increased sexual innuendo. Also, the villain was a bit too obvious. I sincerely hope that the next one reverts back to the level of the prior books. Wish I could give a more positive review. I like the author and I do realize that all books are not perfect.

Loved Up

Another great book to read in this series. Wands and her family have been given a love potion and things get crazy from there and then there is the matter of the Dark Team. Read it and you will enjoy finding out the answers.

4 and a half stars. Enjoyable and entertaining. Half a star taken off because for the entire book (and previous ones) I was aware that the main character was being tricked and/or bespelled by her boyfriend, and I wanted to yell at her!

Disappointed

Really was hoping for a different result in the love department. Stories are kind of getting stale now, loosing interest.

Fabulous ending

I fall more in love with Wanda with each book, but this one was better than all of the previous ones, and that is saying a lot.

Love hurts

Love can be grand, but it can also hurt. Wanda gets a taste of both sides of it while trying to find the Dark Team.

This book had more twist and turns, but it was a great story. The ending was just wonderful. Cannot wait to read the next book.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Who are the assassins?

Awesome. Spring brings about amorous feelings but the witches seem to be taking things too far. Changes are occurring and the new election should be part of the new order if the old order's assassin crew don't take out all the major figures. Misunderstandings, potions, love spells and deception abound. Can they find the assassins before too many deaths occur or will our heroine be one of the victims? Terrific fast paced and with some funny/sticky situations.

Loved up is right...and at times, hilarious!

This series is still a delight, but Wanda is incredibly clueless this time around! The mysteries are chaotic and engrossing, and the ending is surprising. Now, apparently, the quadrangle/hexagon situation is morphing into a triangle/pentagon; oh, well, I'm certainly eager to see Wanda's evolution!
