This series is really smartly done for kids ages 7-12. Read this to assist in my daughter's Book report. There are a plethora to choose from in Stilton's world and I see it enriches her imagination.

It doesn't show the real story of the ghosts. It just show how she got the story. And I don't see any thrilling. But it is super strange story for me

My first Geronimo Stilton Novel :P
Got to say, it was really cool. Illustrations were splendid and imaginations were strange but in a cool way :D
Children would find this book to be fascinating.

I read this book because I'm a fan of Geronimo Stilton. But not Creepella Von Cacklefur. This Book is not as good as the front cover. It's not that thrilling either. Thanks to May who lent me this book.

In the book The Thirteen Ghosts, there is a mouse named Creepella Von Cacklefur. She lives with her pet bat Bitewing, her dad Boris Von Cacklefur, her niece Shivereen and other family members in Cackle Fur castle that is located in a cemetery. Creepella Von Cacklefur is a journalist. She wants to publish a very interesting article on ghosts to the Rodent's Gazette, but she cant find anything to base her article on. So she finds help from her grandfather, who tells her about the Squeakspeare mansion that is haunted by many ghosts. Creepella Von Cacklefur thus starts her journey with her niece Shivereen and pet bat Bitewing to the Squeakspeare mansion to help her with her article.

The Thirteen Ghosts is a very interesting book that keeps you at the edge of your seat, like how in the book you meet a new friend during your journey, but you would have never expected it. The text in the book is very different than a normal chapter book you would find at a store. In the beginning of the story it says "Night fell on the New Mouse City as quickly as a flash of lightning". When you read that line it makes you want to keep reading. Its not a boring line that makes the story dull. One thing this book could have made better is that in the beginning, the story tells you all the characters that are apart of the story, but then in the story the author doesn't use all the characters, for example, one of the characters name is the Baby. No where in the story the Baby is used, if he was used it would give us a better perspective on the character. But all in all this book is very good and amazing, the story has lots of detail and is very interesting and i would 100% recommend it.

Creepella von Cacklefur and The Thirteen Ghosts is a series based on Creepella's adventures and the stories are written by her though published by her good friend Geronimo Stilton. Creepella is in search of ghosts in order to write an article for her local newspaper The Shivery News. She wants to asks ghosts questions such as what is your secret to being scary or what houses to do you like to haunt? So upon her grandfathers advise she travels to Squeakspeare Mansion in search of the ghosts that live there as the ghost that haunts her house is away on vacation. And so the adventure begins as does the mystery to who or what is haunting the Squeakspeare Mansion.

This book very much like most of the Geronimo Stilton books, though not my favorite series. I do like the different take onto the darker side of things as it gives readers a different taste to the books. Still well written and interesting.

The book The Thirteen Ghosts was mysterious. The writing was effective. The strength about the book is that a character needed to write an article about ghosts and she needed to go to a mansion. The weakness about the book is that another character was always fainting of when he sees items floating, dancing, and singing. I would recommend this book to a classmate because I bet that they would like a book that is full with ghosts. If this book was part of a series I would like to continue reading them.

Campy spook humor like the Munsters or Addams Family. Most of the puns went over my kidlet's head (the cockroach being named Kafka, for example), but she enjoyed the ghosts. She especially enjoyed the maps at the end. Although this doesn't have the same zaniness as a Geronimo Stilton book--maybe because this is the first one and it had to introduce everyone?? And time had to be wasted while Creepella chose an outfit and put on make-up??--dear daughter asked for the next in the series.

Read this as a read aloud for my second graders. They liked it because it had great pictures and was a story with a little bit of suspense. I read it with different voices for each character but the text itself really lends to great voice. A perfect beginning chapter book for kids because some difficult words have a creative font to help students figure them out as well as the pictures that aid with comprehension.

I enjoyed it very much. It felt rather nostalgic considering that I used to read Geronimo Stilton books when I was much younger. It is about Creepella Von Cacklefur who tries to look for ghosts to write an article for The Shivery News. She hears that Squeakspeare mansion is haunted by ghosts and she goes there. When she arrives, with her niece Shivereen and her bat Bitewing, she finds a mouse in the garden called Billy Squeakspears whom the house belongs to. She asks him whether they could enter the house but he explained that there was a force that always pushed him back out when he tried to open the door. Billy had inherited the house from his great great great uncle William Squeakspears and Creepella helped him enter the house. They eventually found 12 ghosts who told them to go out. Creepella, being the brave mouse she is refused to leave and told them that she needed to write an article on ghosts. They told her who they were and she eventually had enough notes to write the article. When Billy told the ghosts that he was a writer, they were very glad and told him that he had to write a very long series of books in order to stay in the house as long as the thirteenth ghost accepted this. The thirteenth ghost turned out to be William Squeakspeare, Billy's great great great uncle. He said that he was a great comedian and he immediately started telling his scary jokes. Creepella's article became a thrilling success and she also wrote a book about her encounter with the ghosts. This is that book!! I think that the story is very well written and I look forward to reading the next one.

I guess the writers couldn't get the requisite pages to pad out this book, so started it out as if Creepella is trying to market her story to Geronimo's publishing company. It was okay, and I think the boy liked.
