Enough. Get off your ass and make your "someday" goals a priority— today .
After years of coaching and consulting hundreds of startup rookies as well as seasoned entrepreneurs, executives, and CEOs, Bedros Keuilian realized that most people who want to start a business, grow an existing business, author a book, make more money, or make a bigger impact usually take the long, slow, painful way to get there . . . and more than 80 percent of entrepreneurs never get to their desired destination or achieve their full potential in business. They treat their dream as if it were merely a hobby and dip their toes in the water, but they never commit to diving in—you get the idea.
It's time to cut the bullshit excuses. Everyone has a gift, a purpose. It's your duty to figure out what your gift is and how you're going to share it with the world.

If there's an area of your life in which you need to man up, this book will get you there.
Yet another book about a man who succeeded in business and writes how he did it. The author can be trustful as he actually succeeded before writing his book. As many before him, he reached a "point of no return", read hundreds of books, and committed himself to change. Therefore we can expect common ideas about his ingredients of success, such as taking responsibility, having the right mindset, and so on. Still, the author has his own style, and his own experience, which makes this book unique and interesting for the psychology of success.
In the beginning, he explains how he struggled in life, at school, in business, as an employee. It was really though, and he went through a lot. It's actually interesting and inspiring, as he makes some reflection along the way, like being in the flow without knowing it, spotting the bad manager traits as opposed to the good manager ones. And just like any "self-made man fairy tale", he met his mentor the moment he needed him the most. He learned from him and made billions of dollars ever after.
It may seem "cliché", but this book is not, it has his own uniqueness and gives unique insights. Sometimes, all we need is just to hear the same message but from a different person, to finally "click".
Although the book describes the changes the boy has to go through to become a man, it is apparent to anyone at every step how to travel to get where one wants. It would be a pity if we thought this book would show the path and we needed to follow it bluntly. There are various flavors of struggle, and understanding, processing, and pushing through those most challenging times all make this life.
If you don't watch Bedros Keuilian on YouTube, you absolutely need to.
I've listened to many business people, motivational speakers, entrepreneurs and thought leaders...but I relate to Bedros the most. By far.
Bedros isn't the product of an American family who was living the American dream, where he was allowed to experiment with his family's money to become who he is.
This was a rough, rugged, dirty journey. Bedros seems to be more relatable to those who experienced much more rough, difficult childhoods. And that's why I loved this book and appreciated.
Bedros does not shy away from the hardships...extreme hardships. It's rare to see a man so vulnerable in his telling of his story.
Many people will be pissed about the title of the book: MAN up. It's just the society we live in now. Whatever lol. Grow up and move on.
But this is an amazing book that every man and woman should read.
Good read. I appreciate the way he shared his story. Understanding how he used things from his past to push him into a better future hits throughout the book.
This is a great book for someone who is just started to get into business be it a fitness business or another type of business. As a person in the fitness industry, I found Bedros' story to be very interesting. The way he took risks, had to hide the fact that he was in major arrears from his wife, and the way he changed his outlook on life was really a great story. Although I enjoyed the information Bedros had to share, I felt like after a while the book was a bit redundant. And enough with successful people telling people that they HAVE to wake up early in the morning to get things done more efficiently. I'm pretty sure there are successful people who do not get up at the buttcrack of dawn but at a normal time to start their day. This book was a good read but dragged on a bit.
Thank you to Netgalley, Bedros Keuilian, and Ben Bella Books for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Honestly, with books like these, the star ratings are really about whether the methods and teachings within are meaningful and that the author has done a good job motivating you to try soemthing new. With this in mind, I think Bedros is successful. Time will tell how effective his teachings will be, but I've taken the time to work on some of the suggestions and they seem doable, reasonable and you can see how they would work.
The books itself is not always the most entertaining or gripping read, but that's not necessarily the point. At first I was offended by his constant recounting of his "near death" panic attack, because I have have had several over the years and he was never near death, but I focused on the good bits and the pieces that I desperately needed to help turn myself around as a leader and move to the next level with my business.
To the point. Very blunt about getting your life together. All in all a good read for lessons on dicipline and life goals in more ways than you'd think.
In "Man Up," Bedros Keuilian delivers a no-nonsense guide to success in business and life, challenging readers to break free from self-imposed limitations and embrace their full potential. Drawing from his own journey as an immigrant entrepreneur who overcame adversity to build a multimillion-dollar empire, Keuilian offers candid insights, actionable advice, and a healthy dose of tough love to help readers cut through the noise and achieve their goals.
At the heart of the book lies Keuilian's belief in the power of personal responsibility and accountability. He challenges readers to take ownership of their actions, their decisions, and their outcomes, rejecting victimhood and excuses in favor of empowerment and action. Through a series of blunt truths and hard-hitting anecdotes, Keuilian inspires readers to confront their fears, confront their weaknesses, and confront the obstacles standing in their way.

Quotes: “ -The truth is that right now, it’s very likely that the things that you are prioritising over doing your life’s work are downright embarrassing. The time and energy you spend on recreational “fun” activities, screen sucking social media, useless emails and texts messages, and binge watching TV shows, or taking unscheduled calls and meetings, are killing your business. They’re killing you!
- Growth is perpetual. There is always room for more.
- Never settle for good enough. Good enough is simply not good enough.
I'm a Christian and I believe that I can't "Man Up" without help from the Holy Spirit so reading books like this are usually a little difficult for me. I end up stuck in a limbo where I want to do what the book recommends but I feel like I would be doing it in my own power and if successful I would be farther from God. So then I don't do anything with the information and my life just rolls on without any significant change. I was praying/journaling about it last night after I finished the book and I realized that I don't trust God to keep me on the right path. I incorrectly believe that if I attempt to man up in my own power that I will be successful and God will just let me run down that path unchecked even though I do desire to follow him. I didn't believe that he would put a stop to that if I was heading out on my own. Having since repented of that I am learning to trust that He does care about me and that if I am really seeking to bring him glory by "Manning Up" then things will go well but if I am trying to do it in my own power then things will not go well.

Bedros has a great life story starting with humble beginnings and an early career as a cook at Walt Disney world, but he knew he had much more within himself and even after failing in his first attempt at business he was able to rebound and build a successful fitness franchise. Now he is a respected CEO and mentor to many executives and business owners. Humble and hard working are his go to habits. If you like success books that talk about the good, the bad and the ugly then this quick read is a must.
Bedros is a force to be reckoned with! Bigger than life but down to earth in his message. Coming from a humble immigrant background to being one of the most successful businessmen that I know of is not a simple process and Bedros will share not only his story but also his wisdom on how you can succeed in your life as well. Anyone that can achieve his level of success and have such an incredibly giving heart is worth listening to!
This man has led quite the life. He started at the bottom. His family was so poor they siphoned gasoline to wash his hair to get rid of his lice. Now he's the owner/CEO of a huge multimillion dollar company. His advice is sharp and to the point. Highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to consider seriously improving their life and their business
I didn’t have high hopes for this book however after the first few minutes I learned it wasn’t what I expected. This book goes in depth on the lowest lows of entrepreneurship and mental health as well as the journey of climbing from that low, to the very top. Inspirational story of growth from a hard spot.
Even though this is written mainly for entrepreneurs, anyone can read this book for insight and tips into taking more control over your life (and business). Mr. Keuilian really gets open and honest about his upbringing in America, his failures as a leader in regards to his family and business ventures — and how he corrected them to reach the level of success he has. Excellent book!
This book took a while to finish due to life taking its course with unforeseen events, but nonetheless a great book with lots of insight.
If you read personal development books it’s no different than any other, but Bedros does have a way with motivating you. (Especially if you listen to his podcasts and know his story) Would definitely recommend, this book gets very good towards the end.

Man up! Simple as that , follow these rules to make sure you build a successful business: - disciption - straight communication - decisive -strong mind - clear vision and target - excelltent team
Great book with lots of great advice. I liked how the author came from humble beginnings and is a positive and helpful person who shares his knowledge with people to help them reach their full potential. I'd definitely recommend this book.
On a whole I enjoyed this book. It was a bit too repetitive and I frankly still don’t like the title. However, I enjoyed his story from being an immigrant and its struggles, the vulnerability of his faults early in his career as a leader, and his eventual growth personally and professionally.
One of my favorite books i ever read,is like all in one book,be a man, been a father,be a leader and at the same time been a good team player and how to inspire your fellow team member to perform better everyday.
Very motivating. The book opens your eyes about yourself, that your either not doing enough, or that whatever you are doing, you can do A LOT more! I loved it, will definitely read it again.
Wasn't bad but there was too much repeat of info, over and over again it said too much of the same things, some good things in here but not enough for 4 stars.
