Part 1 & 2 were self-aggrandizing & condescending (For example, on kindle edition page 56 “Someone who publishes fiction or writes as a hobby may get away with publishing a substandard book.” This is a genre-elitist statement because sub-standard books can equally exist in Goldman’s own genre.) The emphasis was on establishing Goldman’s position as an authority & punting her own work, and the work of her personal tribe of experts.

Part 3 was an improvement in that it offered practical guidelines to writing a non-fiction book.

This book may benefit readers who have never written any book before.
