My name is Liam, and I was an FBI agent, until I stepped into the world of Rylee Adamson. Now, I’m a Guardian, a wolf shifter whose very design is to protect those around him at any cost.

The battle against Orion is done, the demons banished. In their wake, there are so many innocents who have lost their lives, their families, and their way.

Three of them our now ours to raise—the ogre triplets. Three boys I’ve come to love as if they were my own. And they are dying.

In a race against time, I must do the impossible. Find a female ogre willing to help us save the boys. A female from a species we had believed was wiped out.

There is one reclusive tribe left—but they aren’t sharing anything but death.

If I am to save my boys, I must face them down; and this time I must look inside myself and find a strength I did not know was possible, without Rylee at my side. If I fail, I fail not only my boys.

I may fail the world.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was born into a family of Star Wars nuts. I have a lot of siblings (somewhere I lost count but I think there was more than could be numbered on one hand) and being one of the young padawans I was subjected to Star Wars marathons, on a regular basis. If you've read any of my books you'll see there is often a reference to said movies as a small homage to my upbringing. May the force be with you and all that jazz.

I started writing when I realized I didn't want to grow up not believing in magic, or not believing in creatures everyone else said didn't exist. That being said, I have never seen a fairy, unicorn or dragon. I had a neighbour who swore they fed the leprechauns in their garden, but I never caught the little buggers no matter how long I lay in wait. (And consequently had to help the neighbours plant new flowers to replace those I killed waiting for the leprechauns to show their faces.)

Along the way, I found my husband who is the rock that keeps me from floating away into my dreams, and we have a little boy who is the centre of our world. Living on a farm keeps us busy (as if the writing wasn't enough) and I have more than my share of stories about wrestling with cows, helping birth calves and ending up in the creek during the process, falling in the mud (we'll call it mud but we all know that on a farm, mud is rarely mud) and chasing escaped livestock in the hopes the four legged convicts don't make it to the highway.

I've taken up archery, and the goal is to move into horseback archery in time (you know, when I can hit the target on a consistent basis) and when no one is looking, I love to bake (this doesn't happen often as it's hard to keep the sweet treats in stock with two boys in the house.)

As to what's coming next for me? More stories (since those never stop inside my head, I might as well share them with all of you!) and more adventures. Pretty much, when the fancy strikes, I'll jump on it. Leap before you look I'm sure that motto was created for me.

Or was that . . . think big and dream bigger, ready, set, pull the trigger . . . yeah. That one is a good one too. But only if you have a gun. And are hunting elephants. Which is not cool because of so many reasons. Let's stick with the first one with an addendum.

Leap before you look and let your dreams carry you on their wings. And that, my friends, is me in a nutshell.

Another superb epilogue filled with excitement, emotions and a nail biting storyline that I just didn't want to end! Although both Rylee & Liam are firm favourite characters, I am counting down the chapters to reach my all time favourite character's epilogue Alex .... I am in dire need of some Alex in my life....

But first, it's Pamela's turn ❤

LIAM has progressed from a human FBI agent, to a werewolf Guardian, and beyond, but like Rylee, he’s had minimal opportunity to adjust to these transformations because inner reflection is the last thing on anyone’s agenda when the fate of the world hangs in the balance. The RYLEE ADAMSON EPILOGUES are giving Shannon Mayer’s characters the freedom to finally come to terms with their new roles through their own POVs.

O’Shea has undergone the most dramatic evolution of all of this world’s cast because he started the RILEY ADAMSON series on the opposite side of the law, made the jump to becoming part of the supernatural community, and now he doesn’t even recognize the face looking back at him in the mirror. I loved Riley’s story in the first installment, and no doubt I’ll feel the same about Pam’s in book 3, however Liam’s was extra memorable.

I enjoyed Levi’s contribution to this adventure because although readers met him in the last novel, he was still a mostly unknown secondary. Mayer really took the time to flesh him out well by having him be the hero’s sole ally on this quest. He got to put his recently discovered Elemental abilities to the test, learned what it means to have someone’s back, and in doing so became a valuable member of the team.

The plot line of this volume will tug at your heartstrings because even though it wasn’t of the same magnitude as say the apocalypse; three babies’ lives are in jeopardy, and for me that was a more relatable crisis than the former which made the stakes feel all the more urgent. We also got to connect with another Guardian, and see how the humans are dealing with the after-effects of the previous series’ finale.

LIAM was O’Shea’s time to shine, and shine he did!

I was provided an ARC of Liam in exchange for an honest review. You really need to read the full Rylee Adamson series to be able to appreciate the epilogues to those story; even more so, you MUST read the first Epilogue RYLEE, since LIAM picks up right where RYLEE leaves off.  Now if you haven’t read RYLEE, stop right here, because there are a few spoilers to that book to come.

Liam is tasked with going back to Seattle to find an ogre wet nurse to save the triplets he and Rylee have adopted.   He is in a rush against time to make it back before the babies succumb to their illness.

Like the rest of Shannon’s book this is a fast paced, non-stop, adventure from page one.  Liam has been Rylee’s rock for so long, but with all the changes he has been through, is he really that same man and guardian? Can he be that for her, his family and his pack?  Can he come through for his adopted children and save the day?

“I was no longer the man I once was, that the mirror didn’t show me a face I knew other than as someone I’d hated.”

I am so overjoyed that Shannon went back and gave us more Rylee and Liam.  These are the characters you fall in love with, and they become a part of you.  I hope that she will continue to keep them going.  I missed them so much....Sara

4.5 Stars... Any fan of the "Rylee Adamson" Series can not help but love Liam... a strong, protective, alpha wolf that is the counterbalance to Rylee's strong willed personality... In this epilogue we travel with Liam as he races to save those he loves most while coming to terms with his own losses and changes... an exciting adventure from start to finish that introduces some additional unique characters and their role in this ever developing pack; while maintaining the fundamental relationships of the characters that readers of this series love and cherish... a nonstop, action packed journey that is a great addition to this series:)

Coming to terms

Liam had to come to a decision if he could be ok in Liam's body. He was fighting it which was keeping his wolf buried. He comes to terms and they find a female ogre to nurse the babies so they don't die.

These books are not as good as the series.

I really liked this. It showed growth for Liam, plus was full of action. I wished we got to see him and Rylee together more, and I'm not exactly sure why he couldn't have called on Pamela partway through this book to save time and not have to deal with the ogre mage?

Either way, worth it for Rylee fans to read this one.

Loved this, but most likely my last from author

I loved this story, but it will most likely be the last from this author I read. I love her writing. I love her stories, but I have noticed that she is either splitting full stories into smaller novellas and charging 2.99 for them or 4.99 for a regular story. This is actually a lot for a self published author. More than I can afford anyway. I started reading her because she was affordable. Not cheap, but affordable. I am just glad I had not started on her other two ongoing series before her pricing change. I noticed she started the whole 2.99 novel split into novella thing close to the end of the Rylee series and I didn't like it. I get that author's need to make a profit, but things like this make me lose respect for the author. At a 3.99 price point for a book, a self published author is still making at least twice what they made under a publisher after expenses. With kindle unlimited and so many self published author's offering good books at affordable rates, readers no longer have to sacrifice a meal to read a book. Self publishing is meant to benefit us all. Giving author's larger profits and readers more affordable prices by knocking out all those middle men. But when self publishing authors start charging full publishing house prices, it stops being beneficial to everyone. So if I have to choose between a greedy author and eating, I will drop them or wait to get them from the library free. It's great now that you can borrow ebooks from the library! I usually prefer to buy to support the author, but there comes a time that they don't deserve it.

A heart racing, drama filled race to save his adopted children, Liam's epilogue story is fast paced. He, of course, find unexpected situations and characters along the way. It's nice to have an exciting story that keeps me engaged without being totally predictable.

I loved the Rylee Adamson series so I was very excited to see more of the gang. I adored these books but I will say that this series has become draining in some ways. Not because it's not great, it is, - but because there's a bloody lot happening and a lot to keep straight. And frankly, I don't think you can read these books without having read the Rylee Adamson series and the Elementals. There's too much crossover to avoid it and a lot you'll be confused about without it.

Obviously the fallout from the Blood of the Lost has left the gang changed and the epilogues follow each of the four characters as they adapt to the change that has been wrought and their own insecurities. But it also builds up to the next chapter in the world and the final book in the Elemental series, Destroyer.

In Liam, the ogre babies are dying from lack of ogre milk. This time, Liam is up to bat, taking off to find the last remaining ogre pack and hopefully, a nursing ogre female. Like Rylee, Liam has his own issues - mainly that he literally doesn't recognise himself. Being stuck in Faris' body has left him doubting his instincts, his control, his attractiveness and Rylee's feelings for him. Especially since he hasn't been able to shift since the battle. It was fast paced, action packed and emotional and gave a greater insight into Liam's feelings and character. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing more of Liam, only wish that the whole gang had featured rather than just Liam and new characters.

If you haven't read Rylee Adamson by Shannon Mayer first, you'll get absolutely nothing out of reading this epilogue. There is nothing going on in this that would appeal to anyone who hasn't read the main series.

If you're caught up to date or reading in order, go ahead and read this. If not, skip it.

Liam:
67 points/100 (3 ½ stars/5)
Warning: Cliffhanger (status: yeah, okay, I saw that coming.)

Like Rylee, Liam is trying to figure out who he is now after the events in Blood of the Lost. He was a Wolf Guardian, he was two people, and now he is neither of those. All while trying to find a way to save their babies. I didn't like his finding himself as much as Rylee. It was a lot of self doubt and stuff. Meh.

The plot relied heavily on coincidence, and driven by an unnecessary time limit. This just wasn't as good as the last. The time limit just feels forced - after months of being fine, now we suddenly only have 2 days to finish it? And then, when he gets where he is going basically the first person he runs into by accident is the one he is looking for.

At the end of the main series Liam went through a lot of changes. I never really thought to much about all of them and how they effected him. This book is here to shine some light on that and bring you up to speed on what has gone down.

I completely forgot that Liam ended up getting a new body when I had picked up the Epilogue books. Now you get to see how he feels and how the new body effects him. He has been struggling with his inner wolf and isn't sure why or what is going on.

Liam needs to save the ogre babies and he takes Levi with him. Levi came back with Rylee when she went out to find Levi's sister. Levi has water elemental blood but they don't know much or what he can do. During their adventure to save the ogre babies both Liam and Levi learn a lot about themselves.

If you have followed the series this far you need to read this book to find out what Liam and Levi learn about themselves, if the ogre babies pull through, and what is going on with Pamela.

If you haven't read the Rylee Adamson series from the beginning I highly recommend you start at the beginning before reading this book.

I loved Liam's story

I want to say so much, but not at the expense of spoiling the book for others. This starts off where Rylee's book ended. Liam is is on his journey to find a cure for their baby Ogre's and Levi is sent along with him on his journey. You'll read where so many lines have crossed each other and be thrilled to see how each life intersects and crosses each other. The catch at the end was really a neat way to show they all crossed together and how all the books from Rylee and Lark come together. Not only is this journey about saving the babies, it is also time for Liam to find what he has lost in himself after the final battle. Hang on to your seats because this is action packed and will have you reading until the end in one sitting, because you can't put this book down until you find out what is going to happen in the end. I'd recommend any book by Shannon Mayer, but Rylee's series and Larkspur's are the best!

This picks up right where “Rylee" ended. Liam has to find a female ogre who can nurse the three babies in their care who will die without ogre milk. This entails a trip to Seattle where the last known surviving ogres live. Levi, one of the kids in the last story, accompanies him.

Prior to locating the ogres, Liam rescues a lion Guardian that had been residing in a zoo for the past ten years.

Since Seattle's black ogres are hostile to all other supernaturals, it’s not going to be easy to convince them to cooperate. Serendipitously, Liam almost immediately finds a female ogre mourning the loss of her son, killed by the leader who felt threatened by him due to prophecy.

Battles ensue, Liam almost dies, Pamela to the rescue, babies saved. Pamela takes off to find someone who can help her strengthen her magic which, of course, leads us to the next short story entitled “Pamela."

Excellent

Absolutely love these books will really miss the Rylee Adamson books when these are finished. The Epilogue books give a continuation of the stories of the some of the main characters and show how they adapt to a new world after the battle with the demons. Liam has struggled with now being in Faris's body and cannot think of it as now his own and needs to come to terms with it to free his wolf. He has to go on a mission to find a female ogre to save the triplets lives and in doing so needs to find himself. He has a tough time but returns home a better and more settled person and also brings back another pack member in the form of Mai a wet nurse for the triplets. Another excellent read.

We are back with Rylee and the gang, for a set of extended epilogues. Each one will focus in on one of the main characters from the main series to see how they are doing post battle.

Liam’s story will take him on a race against time. The triplets are quickly fading away, and they need an ogre to keep them from starving. Liam and one of the newest additions to the gang must go find a nursing ogre to come back and save the babies. The problem? The only ogres left are even less than friendly than most.

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed LIAM. I was disappointed that Liam wasn’t in much of RYLEE, but I went in figuring LIAM would be similar and not have much of Rylee. I think knowing that ahead of time allowed me to enjoy this book more than RYLEE. I liked getting to be in Liam’s head for a whole novel (albeit a short novel) and learning what his struggle has been since the fight with Orion. Levi’s addition to the main plot was good as well, since we didn’t get to know him well in RYLEE. It made me laugh that Liam picked up some stragglers as Rylee always does. Great addition to the series!

This is closure

Even though I said this is closure I hope that all of these characters are in the next 2 series with the elemental and the witch series I enjoyed it immensely With Riley and Liam And the little witch and the wolf It kept me on the edge of my seat and Frustrated at the same time and sometimes the decisions she made I wanted to shake them but in the end I know that's how the books had to read That's why this is closure so they can both live with the decisions they made and the new life that they leave

Liam’s book about finding himself again after the fight with Orion. New body and sense of self.

I really enjoyed this epilogue. Liam goes on a hunt to find a female Ogre to save the three ogre babies, they need a ogres milk to strive and survive.

Liam takes the new 1/2 blood water elemental boy rylee helps in her epilogue.

We see most characters again which I love. I need to read Pamela now before going back to read the last elemental book or maybe even lynchpin.

Still sorting out these timelines :)

I really enjoyed Liam! Even though it was a bit shorter than I expected, it didn’t waste a single page—totally action-packed, just like the rest of the Rylee Adamson series.

I loved the new additions to the pack (won’t spoil anything, but yes please to more of that!), and it was great to see that even supernaturals struggle with their own insecurities. It made the characters feel more real and relatable.

Overall, a fun, fast read that adds a lot to the world Mayer’s built. If you’re a fan of the series, definitely don’t skip this one.

Guardian

Liam’s novella is terrific. Reading about how he had to learn to be a guardian, letting his wolf out and coming to terms with the fact Faris’ body is now his. The struggle to let insecurities go is something we all face and I think Shannon Mayer did an outstanding job of conveying this. Family is as always the ever reaching outcome. It’s good to read their family continues to grow.

Liam gets his groove back

Liam has to leave Rylee and the babies to save their lives. He must go back to Ogre territory in Seattle Washington to save the 3 Ogre babies. Rylee says they have 48hours to,live if he doesn’t find a female ogre who is nursing to feed them or they’ll die. Rylee trusts hum implicitly but does he trust himself? Liam will do whatever he can and that means be the wolf guardian he was meant to be, backed by his bad azz FBI/ cop instincts!

I'm invested in this series, but...

referencing a new president with funny hair that everyone wants to assassinate was completely uncalled for. I really wish these people with platforms would stop trying to sway our youth politically. The actors, singers, authors, etc need to keep their political views to themselves. I'm invested by now so I will finish the last two books and then she has lost me as a customer and follower.

Read the entire Rylee Adamson books from the beginning, this is the 2nd book in the epilogue series. They were all REALLY GOOD reads. They kept the reader engaged and didn't repeat themselves (which I really hate when authors do that). Each story progressed on the previous one.

A definite read!

As always, great read and characters

Rylee is the other half of Liam, but after the great war, so much has changed. Rylee had to leave to find her balance with the different changes. Liam has to save the triplets and is forced to leave as well. Will he also find his balance in his new self?

Great read

I find myself turning the words to places I imagine I see in my mind and the names of the characters to faces in my mind as well as the expression, sounds of voice, footsteps, smells, emotions.

Each new character added to Rylee's world actually adds something wonderful. With each addition I am left wondering how the pack ever felt complete without him/her. There are no outliers here. I've said it before and I say it again; amazing storytelling, great characters new and old, edgy and engrossing. I love this series.

Guardian still...

Liam is an awesome addition to this pack. Although Rylee is the leader, the Wolf is also a leader of the pack. When the ogre babies become sick, Liam sets out on a trail to the only surviving ogre pack they know. Of course, a battle ensues, Liam meets another Guardian, things go from bad to worse and new additions come to the pack. Amazing epilogue!
