I just kissed a girl I've never met to save her from humiliation. There’s a reason I don’t often come back to my home town. A few actually. Hollywood’s bright lights didn’t help. But reason number one is Suzie freaking Collins. She was a cow at high school, and nothing’s changed. When I see her attacking some chick in a coffee shop, I step in. I kiss the girl, and in an instant I’m hard as a rock. I can’t hide it. This girl’s real, not some rake-thin movie starlet. But there’s a problem – she’s in love. Not with me, but her dead boyfriend. Her first love. How can I compete with that? All I know is I’m going to give Lucy a wedding. Whether she wants one or not… From USA Today bestselling author (Oct '17) Tara Wylde... Tara loves fun, flirty romances with heroes who are utterly loyal to the curvy women in their lives. Like y'all, she loves Happily Ever Afters, and promises one every time.
The dead ex was barely an obstacle guys. It quite literally went from chapter ☝️ "I vowed to never kiss anyone ever or be with anyone after Lance died" to chapter ☝️, she kisses the Ryan and a few chapters later having sex with him. 😂
It also has the whole, he has a female friend secretly in love with him that goes manic when he starts dating the heroine, becoming a crazy attempted murderer.
What killed me however was:
“Are you trying to tell me that …” I can’t say the word. It seems too outrageous. Lucy’s attractive. She smells good. And in the short time I’ve known her, she has a fun personality and a passionate nature. There’s no way she hasn’t … “I’m a virgin.”
I received an ARC copy for an honest review. I hate to give bad reviews since I know the author puts their heart and sole into each story but I was a little disappointed in this book. I can't stand a weak female character and that's what this book has. Lucy let's herself be walk all over and taken advantage of. Now I really liked Ryan. And his message that he delivered which was the whole reason he came back to his small home town.
2.5 STAR Just like i said fake relationships books are my guilty pleasure...
Jake is a Hollywood star that is back at his childhood town and something don't change! One of his high school bullies is still a bully! When he sees a flash of the past he can't stop himself...
Jake is great characters he is kind (he's in town no make a comercial for organ donation), sweet and strong minded!
Lucy, i really don't have a formed opinion!!! She lets another girl literally stomps on her... because she lost her fiance in a car crash and thinks that it was her fault because they where fighting so she stops fighting with people!
This is insta love in 4 days!!!! They meet, pretend being in a relation, have great chemistry, on the 4th day they are having sex and professing eternal love!
Didn't like the stalker friend trying to be girlfriend drama, was pretty obvious! Didn't like the 1st sex scene, drama drama drama!! She was virgin/not virgin i will explain, she and her fiance decide to have sex (penetration) only after getting married, but he dies she ends up getting a vibrator and take things on her one... The all "OMG is so big won't fit" was so unnecessary!
This was a 3.5 read for me. I liked it, but it was NOT as advertised. It wasn't a BBW book, and the memory of her fiance was a non-issue.
With that out of the way, it was a sexy and fast read about a cute girl next door who falls in love with a movie star who is from their small town. They start out with an arrangement and very quickly fall for each other. No angst here, and I was in the mood for that. :)
This is one of those books where the title is completely inadequate and the cover doesn't match the description of the main male character. Also, they squeezed a lot of tropes into one little book... rich celebrities, stalkers, bitchy women, virgins.
Do not expect to read this expecting depth of character here. Ryan's an actor and Lucy is a wanna be writer who works in a medical office and is bullied by the daughter of the doctor she works for. Wanting to wait until marriage is noble in this day and age... until she's not noble anymore because she wants to sleep with the hot celebrity. I was kind of waiting for the shoe to drop with Susie -- that she slept with Lance or something.
I had lots of issues with this because there were so many ways this could have been enhanced. And the writing of the superhero portions were AWFUL.
The good news is that Ryan is fun to read and there's an HEA.
Decent story and characters, although Lucy is somewhat of a door mat and very non confrontational to the point of well a doormat! I'm not a fan of mild, weak female leads! Light easy read with light drama and mystery, some sexy times but nothing to hot, comic book and super hero references throughout the book. Just an ok read nothing memorable or special, I will forget the story before the end of the day.
This was a crazy good book right from the start. Lucy is in the middle of a confrontation in the coffee shop on her day off when she is kissed off her feed by Ryan a movie star back in town for a PR event. This was funny, sweet, sexy and a bit of mystery. Great read
Wedding Crasher by Tara Wylde a fabulous five-star read. I think Tara Wylde is a very funny author, she has witty one liners that will have you chuckling, but she also has a great story running through as well, I have read several books over the last few days as I have spent lots of hours on trains, something I do a lot of, normally I cry when I’m reading on train, this time I was laughing so hard I snorted coffee from my nose. I honestly don’t know which is less embarrassing, all I do know is Ryan is Hot!! There is something for everyone in this story, there is heart ache and joy to bring you along with the story, much like I was going home to a place I don’t like to visit often, but I’m not a movie star, there were other things that did have similarities but I am luck in that I didn’t have someone trying to spoil what started as fake and ended as more. You need this story in your life. Lucy was a great character and you will warm to her immediately, unlike some others I could mention. Well done Tara Wylde on a great story, but next time I’m reading your story at home or just avoiding liquids while reading.
I would like a little more info on some of the characters. Did Susie end up apologizing? Did Eli divorce Susie? Did Margo say anything about her sister? She was there when it all happened. I just wish some things would have been tied up. Lol these are things I keep wondering about. If they get another book I will read it.
Lucy is a kind, hard working young woman who is an office manager for the local doctors and she's been roped into helping organise his daughter's wedding.Ryan is a very successful movie star who needs to try and get himself a much better image than he has at the moment. So he goes back to the small town where he grew up. He's minding his own business when he sees a 'b**tch from his high school berating a young woman whose eyes mesmerise him so he goes up and kisses her. That is how he meets Lucy. This latest story by Tara Wylde made me laugh at her one liner quips and I liked the storyline as it was so well executed. Ryan and Lucy are such a sweet couple and it was wonderful to 'see' them falling in love with each other. These two characters really drew me into their story and yes the storyline wasn't unique but that doesn't matter as it was so well written and they had their own quirks and twists in the story to make it unique. It is a really good, fun read with plenty of heat between the two of them as he is so HOT and she is stunning and he recognises how lucky he is that she loves him too! This is so well written that I will be buying my own copy as the extra bonus materials are a selection of Tara's other books that are fabulous too and will keep me entertained for hours. The included stories are : Doctor Naughty, The Baby Race and The Storm. I'm looking forward to reading them now and will wait as patiently as I can for Tara's next romantic adventure.I received a free reader's copy of the book and leave a review of my honest opinion here.
Looking for free and extra books i think a total of 4-5 stories in one here, all unique.

Violence2, sex2
Stories were so different some 4some 3 so that's why low rating. Also with so many books in one its hard to remember each story to leave a review.

Lucy Higgins is a damaged young woman, the scars on her soul just as visible to the world as the scar on her cheek. She is very good-natured and finds it extremely difficult to stand up for herself and chooses, instead, to work out her aggressions on the people who mistreat her by having them star as villains in her writing. When her boss's daughter, Suzie Collins, is getting married, Lucy finds herself working as an unpaid wedding organizer with little to no appreciation for her hard work. When Hollywood superstar, Ryan Jakes, witnesses Suzie abusing Lucy in a coffee shop, he sweeps in and rescues Lucy and pretends to be her boyfriend. When Ryan finds out that Lucy has been helping to plan a wedding to which she has not even been invited, he takes matters into his own hands, and decides to crash the wedding. I have to say that I -loved- this book! I almost never give 5 star reviews but I felt compelled to do that this time. Don't get me wrong. This is not an example of the best literature in the world; it's not Shakespeare. However, the book was well-written and well-edited, and to this jaded reviewer, that is worth its weight in gold! Additionally, the story is very entertaining, even if it is a little clichéd. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, the chemistry between Ryan and Lucy, and how Ryan and Lucy are able to heal each other of damages inflicted on them by their pasts. I will definitely be looking for other books by this author!
I loved this read about an actor, Ryan, and a woman who wants to be a writer, Lucy. They meet when he returns to his hometown and saves Lucy from a self centered, obnoxious bridezilla, in a coffee shop. Ryan knows the bi*** from H.S. and didn’t like her then, so when he steps in he starts something that neither him nor Lucy expected. He gets to know the timid, shy, quiet, compassionate woman and doesn’t want to let her go but she’s holding onto something or someone that has not allowed her to move on from her past, in more ways than one. An amazing read with steamy scenes, some suspense and also with some humour and hilarious scenes that had me laughing out loud. I loved Ryan’s character, he was down to earth, kind, and different in the best possible way from other actors portrayed in many other books....refreshing. Lucy at first I wanted to shake and get her to stand up for herself but the author had a reason for that and when it comes out...oh my got a bit misty eyed. I loved the fact that there was no miscommunications, no misunderstandings, that Ryan stood up for Lucy and that Lucy lets go behind closed doors and lets her “wild” side show, just for Ryan. The story was one amazing read with a lot going on, Lucy’s writing, her past, why she is passive in the present, then there’s his past and current situation, a stalker but it all comes together perfectly and the end result is a book not to be missed. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
3.5 stars Lucy is great at her job. She’s the office manager for a medical office but has somehow gotten roped into also planning her boss’s daughters wedding. To say the bruce to be is a little nuts would be an understatement. But, Lucy’s never failed at anything and she won’t at this either, even if all she wants to do is hide. Ryan is unfortunately present when Lucy is publicly berated by a woman he hears is about to get married. He doesn’t want to get involved but one looks at Lucy’s face and he decides to step in. From that one move on his part, they are linked...at least for the short time that he’s in town. You see, Ryan is a movie star who needs help with his image and Lucy seems like an awesome candidate to help while he’s in town. As you imagine is a story like this, nothing is ever as simple as all that. Add in a possible stalker, a fake relationship and small town mess and you’ve got a writing that will keep you interested. The real reason for the scoring is for the 3 additional full length books that were included. There is Doctor Naughty, The Baby Race and The Storm. All are similar tropes; slightly meek but beautiful virgin meets a troubled, but handsome billionaire and passion and lust turns to love. I actually enjoyed all of the extra books. They were enough alike for me to figure things out but they made for quick reads. It also didn’t hurt that the sex scenes were crazy hot!
SCORE: Stars: 4 (out of 5) for overall story Chilies: 4 (out of 5) for heat between the sheets/or anywhere else
BOOK TIDBITS: Genre: Adult Romance Recommended Readers: 18+ Chapters: 43 + Epilogue Ending: HEA Main Characters: Ryan Jakes Lucy Higgins
REVIEW: This novel was a blast to read! Can you imagine helping a bride (who is your bosses daughter) plan and organize her wedding to only NOT be invited? Well Lucy takes it with a grain of assault. She has no intention of attending the wedding, even to make sure everything runs smoothly. The bride to be is a major bridezilla and is constantly creating new jobs for Lucy to handle.
Although one moment in the coffee shop where Lucy is being berated in from of the other customers by the bridezilla, Ryan steps in and Lucy’s life changes forever.
It’s a cute romance, but does have some tragic moments included. The only bummer I found with this novel is that it ends a little abruptly for me. I’m praying there is going to be another installment. Otherwise, I had a blast reading.
And let me not forget…the sizzling moments between Lucy and Ryan. Yeah, they’re good!!
The best part of this novel for me is Lucy’s ‘hobby’. I love the fact that plays a major part in explaining Lucy’s emotions as she lives them. Love it!
Wedding Crasher is a fun, sexy, at times intense read. Things start off as a lark when Ryan interrupts Lucy taking verbal abuse from her boss's daughter, Suzie (who, by the way, needs a good beat down:-) ). Their actual true feelings for each other come on pretty quickly. They end up getting involved in a fake relationship as a mutually beneficial situation. Things evolve, not surprisingly, but are constantly being challenged because of a suspenseful story arc. I don't want to give too many details, since I found it to be a slightly surprising side story that kept things intense and interesting. I loved the character, and story development, both of which made for a smooth read. Lucy and Ryan are both likable characters that I was rooting for from the beginning. My only point of contention with this story is that I would like to have seen a little more detail on how things went down after Suzie's wedding. Would like to have seen some of the fall out from her behavior, and treatment of Lucy...really that doesn't impact my rating though...just personal preference. I did love Lucy and Ryan's HEA and the epilogue was great.
This is a full length novel, though a fairly quick, easy read, and includes another full length read, Baby Race. (at least it did at the time I downloaded it)...I love that kind of bonus.
So… after reading several of the reviews, I almost skipped this book. I mean, there were some pretty harsh things said about this one. But the point of a review is to give an opinion. That’s all. Then I make my own decision. Good thing, too. Because I decided I just liked the premise of the story enough to give it a shot, even though some people obviously did not enjoy it. But if I had listened to them, I would have missed out on a fun read.
The plot has a bit of an unusual start to it, although it does seem to try to cover several tropes within a fairly short book. But chill out, sit back and enjoy the chemistry. Ryan and Lucy really have it going on, and they’re both very damaged souls. Ryan is definitely a keeper with his protective, healing nature. Lucy seems to have spent a great deal of her life (including her adult life) being victimized. Perhaps Lucy’s perceived weakness has been one of the issues readers have reacted to, whether they realized it or not. Romance fans really love those strong female leads…
Readers can expect some fun and crazy characters in this story that takes several twists and turns. The romance is steamy, and the language is mature at times.
I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another great book from Tara Wylde. Lucy has been grieving for the past two years since her boyfriend was killed in a car accident that she blames herself for because they were arguing and the roads were icy. She walked away with just a scar on her cheek. Now she avoids getting into arguments because of this. Then Ryan gives her the kiss of her life because he can't stand to see Suzie treating Lucy that way even though he doesn't know Lucy but he knows Suzie from high school and she hasn't changes (or has gotten worse). They agree to a fake relationship because his manager thinks it will improve his image with the directors and big wigs back in LA. After just a couple days the fake relationship is starting to feel real for both of them but they try to deny it. The someone starts leaving threating notes for Lucy. Will they figure out who is threatening Lucy? Is it a random fan or someone close to them? Will they admit their feelings for each other or will the stalker get to Lucy first?
As a no surprise, I liked this book, well I loved it. Since last week, I’m as sick as a dog, and only good stories are able to wake my brain up. And Wedding Crasher is one of them. Some might be angry about Lucy’s reactions when Susie uses her as a doormat for all her frustrations but she explains perfectly why she does not bulge a toe, to avoid more problems and later when she confesses her past love story to Ryan. And she is no weak one, she has a strength of her own, but a quiet one. In the end, Ryan gave a piece of his mind to the ugly bridezilla. And Ryan, waouhhhh, Ryan! I want a Ryan, he is really Captain Heat! Any woman will feel hot with him around. He is so far from what I should have expected a successful actor. He is caring, not all in the something looks, he stayed the good boy he was even when he had to grew up. This story is fast paced, it takes place in a short timeline and it was intense, with funny moments, others full of emotions, some sexy times and a little of drama. A good read to recommend to anyone.
I just read an inspiring, beautifully carnal, guilt morphing into strength witty romance! The mysterious suspense that weaved its way through the pages added an extra element to the already attention capturing storyline- making for one story I could not put down! When Ryan comes back to the hometown he left behind to help out his friend with a Promotional Organ Tissue donation; he did not think he would be helping out a woman like Lucy in a coffee shop, but once the improv starts rolling there is no stopping him! Faking he is her boyfriend to get her away from bridezillas evil twin- he finds himself not wanting to end his short time with her, plus his manager has mentioned it would do his image some good to be in a steady relationship for a bit so why not keep going with the fake stuff while he is in town? Have some fun? Have some fun indeed.. Fun that's messy, heart squeezing, and downright dangerous! But well worth reading!
A really great read by Ms. Wylde. I enjoyed the storyline that at times had me laughing, others had me on the verge of tears, and towards the end, I was holding my breath. Now, without giving much away, I knew that Jenna was the culprit but I wasn’t expecting the situation that occurred, so not totally predictable. Loved Ryan and Lucy’s characters. They were lovable and relatable characters that drew you into the story. The best part of the book was when they first are intimate, but the book and you’ll know why. The last thing I have to say may not be a popular opinion but it’s how I felt. I didn’t enjoy the parts that were the book Lucy was writing. Honestly I skipped them after a while because they just weren’t important to me. With that said, it didn’t make me like the book any less. I still really loved Lucy and Ryan’s story! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Lucy was hiding from love but she didn't realize how much, she was doing a favor for her boss by helping his daughter with her wedding unfortunately Suzie the bride was a total bridezilla and she catches Lucy on her day off at the coffee shop on her laptop doing something she loves. Suzie berates Lucy so badly in front of everyone that Lucy just shuts down then all of a sudden this handsome guy pulls Lucy out of her chair and kisses her and tells her he missed her while they had been apart she was nervous but Suzie didn't notice because she was looking at the guy who happen to be a movie star from Los Angeles Ryan Jake's whim she attended high school with and she wanted to know how he knew Lucy he said that she was his girlfriend of course Suzie didn't believe it but he told her it was Lucy's day off and they were leaving. This is a wonderful romantic comedy suspense. I was given a copy as a gift from Author. I am providing an honest review without obligation.
The day that Ryan graduated high school, he packed up his meager belongings and skipped town. He promised himself to never look back. Now that he is making a name for himself in the acting field he has to return and help out his friend. Doing a PSA for the children’s hospital is important to him, seeing the nasty girl from his high school yell at another woman in a coffee shop and getting involved, is not how he saw his day going. Going up to her and kissing her, shocks him and the pretty girl. Now they need to keep up this rouse. It seems that Lucy is helping Suzie with her wedding, and using her as her wedding planner without any pay, just because Lucy works in Suzie’s fathers medical office. As he gets to know Lucy, he starts to fall for her, however, it seems she’s still in love with her dead boyfriend. How can he compete with that. This was funny at times and sexy at the same times. I enjoyed this book.
Lucy in her spare time is writing a superhero where her deceased boyfriend Lance is the main character, Dillion. Today is her day off and as she writing she is attacked by her boss's daughter, Suzie. Suzie thinks that Lucy is her employee and always has something for her to do, like today she has more things for her to do and she is here at the coffee shop where Lucy is trying to enjoy her day off. Suzie yells and screams at Lucy like she is a child and Lucy doesn't do anything. Ryan Jakes walks over and speaks to Suzie and then turns and kisses Lucy saying he is her boyfriend and they have things to do and that Lucy can't do the errands for Suzie. Ryan is a former townie who is now a well-known movie star, who is in town to do a commercial for his friend Dr. Christian. He and Lucy decide that she is to be his pseudo-girlfriend for his image. Soon there seems to be someone in town who doesn't like Lucy and they are leaving threats for her to back off. A good read.
WEDDING CRASHER by Tara Wylde I loved this story of Ryan Jakes, who is an A list actor in Hollywood and Lucy who is a medical office manager. They meet when Lucy on her day off is in a coffee shop and Susie who is the bridezilla daughter of the Dr Lucy works for berates her in public. Lucy was talked into helping pull off the wedding of the century. Ryan witnesses the tirade and rescues Lucy from Susie who he knew from high school. He likes Lucy and talks her into being a pseudo girlfriend while he is in town filming a commercial for organ donation. This story was different, funny, and quirky. Tara Wylde has a great knack for original books with great story lines, characters you care about, and it compels you to want to see what happens with them. I am definitely giving this 5 stars. I received an ARC for my honest review
Tara has done it again, another great five star story. Ryan, an A list actor is back in his home town to film a charity commercial as a favor for a friend. He walks into the local coffee shop and sees a Susie from his old high school class berating Lucy, a sweet girl. He grabs Lucy, kisses her and pretends to be her boyfriend. Lucy is the medical office manager for Susie's father's doctor's office. She has also been delegated the job of coordinating Susie's upcoming wedding. Lucy was still grieving for her boyfriend who was killed in a wreck and she felt guilty that she survived. Ryan will be your next boyfriend, he is down to earth and a great guy. He and Lucy are great together, but no spoiler here. I enjoyed reading this book as an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Excellent! I really enjoyed this book. It's steamy and romantic. I definitely recommend this book. Lucy is sitting in a coffee shop working on her superhero romance book on her day off when Suzie comes in and starts telling her she needs her to get cupcakes for her wedding rehearsal which is that same night. Suzie wants them to look like her cake. Lucy doesn't stand up to her. Suzie starts yelling and Ryan has been sitting in the corner. He graduated with Suzie and is thinking about just leaving so she doesn't see him. He feels sorry for Lucy and goes up to her, kisses her and says, I've missed you, sweetheart. He tells Suzie they have plans and Lucy isn't going to work on her day off. After getting Lucy out to his car, he asks her to be his fake girlfriend for a couple weeks. Will Lucy take him up on his offer? I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
