ALL THE THIEF’S MEN by N.R. Larry A thief. Prisoners. Unconventional circumstances where sparks will fly!
A TOUCH OF DRAGON FIRE by Holly Ryan What a read! Full of steam and slowly unrevealing secrets of this world. You start with knowing nothing but this author will slowly it fast introduce you to what is going on There.
HER ALPHAS by Liz Gavin What a great read! Just a sample of what will come in book 1 of the series. I enjoyed it greatly
FAE LOST by Laura Greenwood Intriguing Novella That can become a Great novel! I really liked The idea. Mixed races, slow Burn.
RIFT CURSED by Margo Bond Collins What a turns There. I hadnt seen The idea how will harem be formed. Intriguing story That in The middle left me schocked.
What could be better than books by your favorite authors? Reverse Harem books by your favorite authors!!! I loved every one of the books in this Anthology and will be looking forward to any following books to each one of them. I was really happy to see the collaboration from Mila Young and Isis Pierce, I hope that there will be more to Atalia and her men in the future! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
All the Thief's Men by N.R. Larry 3 stars I found it too complicated. After finishing it I still have no idea about the guys' pasts and sins which led them to being in the ship. The world is also kinda blurry. The harem sort of starts forming but not really as their characters are not yet distinctive. The book is full of action but it is unclear who are the bad guys. I liked the use of different POVs but they could have been more detailed as it was difficult to discern personalities and I constantly had to check whose POV that was.
A Touch of Dragon Fire by Holly Ryan 4 stars This one is a much steamer read but a well written one. Calhoun, Vance and Tavis seem to have distinctive characters though I am not sure whether I like Yara. In all honesty I am not sure I agree with her decision to take them as her harem at the end of the story. Way too soon in my opinion. It is a nice introduction but could have been longer.
Under Her Skin by Dahlia Swan 2 stars A very interesting style of story-telling, almost old-school but not to my liking. The story was too poetic and intricate, even to a point of being too confusing. I could not relate to either of the characters and found them undistinctive.
Her Alphas by Liz Gavin 2.5 stars I liked the idea of the story, however the execution was severely lacking. I will mention some of the points that annoyed me. I would gave preferred more on why Steph was so wild and how she fell in love with the guys, the first kiss etc. While it was an interesting read, the begining felt too rushed. There was no setting of the scene, you are pushed into it and then good luck understanding in what status the relationships are. And WHY did she have to do the most stupid and reckless thing, i.e. leave the house to huff and puff??? She was supposed to be smart! Guys were too undistinctive, and there should have been a better introduction of Prince (the way he saved the day led me to thinking of him as a possible member of the harem, but he simply vanished in the end). So idea is good, plot mostly good, needs expanding and better character development or at least show the distinctive characters.
Secret Magic by Mila Young and Isis Pierce 4 stars Finally one more decent story. There were a couple of inconsistencies (like moving quickly with an injured ankle) and the turnaround by the guys from cautious to 'I will not leave you' was way too quick but it was a very promising begining to what looks like an interesting story.
Fae Lost by Laura Greenwood. 5 stars Loved it! Finally a story that was really worth reading. Unfortunately it ended at TBC, which is a bum, but I will definitely read the next book in the series.
Never Let Go by Dana Lyons 4 stars This was a good story albeit a sad one. I am not a fan of stories told as memories, so that was probably the only thing I did not like.
Take Flight by Cecilie Duvale 3 stars A very similar story plotwise to the one by Dahlia Swan but much better executed. I am not much a fan of stories involving totems and native Americans, so I was not enamoured with it. The ending was very abrupt and in my eyes the harem was not yet fully formed and also the brother was not found. I can only assume it will be continued, although it did say 'THE END'.
Rift Cursed by Margo Bond Collins 3 stars I was left confused after reading this one. I have no idea how the Rift worked or what it was, I was not happy with the harem (I am not sure this was a harem) but I was intrigued. A very confusing world building and plot, but the story definitely caught my attention.
I received the Soul Spark anthology from the author/publisher. The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion.
I'm really disappointed in this anthology. It read more like a compilation of book teasers and/or first chapters (many, not even touching on the RH genre). While there were some typos, the writing was good overall, but it's my opinion, a reader would get this same assortment of stories by downloading the "Look Inside" feature, or "Send a Free Sample" options with out paying a dime. This offering is the reason I no longer pre-order anthologies. This gets a neutral rating because the writing was good, and some stories were actually short stories, rather than serial installments or teasers.
The first story sucked me in. I must admit that I liked it so much I had to search more of the author. That was just the start. Each story was just as good start to finish in this collection. The second story grabs you by the hair and really reels you in. HOT! HOT! HOT!!! Holly Ryan really knows her stuff. Dragon shifters to boot! All I can say is yumm I need more. As always Mila Young's writing is sensational so full of exciting happenings that leave you anticipating what more is to come and this stormborn and shifter story is nothing less then exceptional I am eagerly await more in her next book. That's just a small amount of awesomeness this collection throws your way. A must read for all paranormal lovers
A mix of paranormal romance and reverse harem stories by several authors. Each is a short story that introduces you to new worlds and realms. With the assortment of authors you will find lots of new stories to love, if you don’t fall for them all.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
No spoilers of any kind! So all I’m going to say is that this is a fantastic book by several fantastic authors! Several of them this being the first time that I’ve read any of their work. They all had me hooked, so hooked I’ll be checking out more of their work. So yes I definitely recommend this to anyone who’s interested in getting lost in different realities.
I've read Fae Lost by Laura Greenwood and loved it. It's a very unique story about what happens when the Fae are missing. I really enjoyed Perry and her interactions with Jordan, Kingsley, and Theo. It's a quick, very entertaining read. I'd really love to see more from them.
