Since I'm trying to learn urban sketching on my own I found that I'm having a real hard time with perspective and drawing larger objects and buildings live. Every thing takes practice but this book is WAY over my league at the moment. Let's see how it goes.
I saw this book on my nieces bookshelf and thought I’d read it while she is currently away at college. I like the feel of this book and the two flaps that you can keep your place as you read. The topics were easy to understand and illustrations very helpful to support the concepts presented. I finished it in one week so was a quick read. Now I need to practice what I learned and excited to start.
I enjoy the way this guide is written. The techniques and advice are practical, useful. It feels like the author is chatting with me… Kind of in my head and knows what I’m thinking and my drawing struggles. Then he addresses those struggles. And so I feel understood, more open to learning and trying his strategy and a little more confident. Well done!
The book is very helpful…put together I. A concise and easy to understand way. It helps the beginner see simplification when approaching a difficult subject.
