Hello? Wrong number…
What happens when you accidentally text a sexy photo of yourself to your favorite hockey player?

Las Vegas Kingsnakes superfan Hannah Hendrix never planned on her sexy photos ending up in the hands of a complete stranger. But she never planned to walk in on her boyfriend with another woman, either. Or for her mom to get sick. The only bright spots in her life are her upcoming college graduation and her fast-growing video blogging channel, Pretty Paper Planning with Hannah. And of course, her first love-hockey.

Hockey superstar Brandon Lear is drowning in drama. A divorce from his drug addicted ex-wife has left him the sole caregiver of his two little girls. Trying to juggle being a single father and the grind of another long hockey season has left him exhausted and stressed. So when photos of a woman clad in nothing but glasses and sexy lingerie land on his phone after a tough road game, it's a welcome distraction. He likes what he sees, but quickly discovers he likes talking to the mystery woman who sent the photos even more.

When Hannah learns that the man on the other end of the phone in possession of her sexy pictures is *the* Brandon Lear, her favorite hockey player of all time, she's completely mortified-until she learns that her attraction might not be as one-sided as she originally thought. But Brandon's determined to keep Hannah strictly in the friend-zone. Despite their sizzling chemistry and his growing desire to get his hands all over her delicious curves, pulling the sweet college co-ed into his chaotic life right now just doesn't seem like a smart decision.

Her crush on the charming, tattooed forward heats up along with their budding friendship, and Brandon soon finds himself breaking his own rules when it comes to Hannah-giving in to temptation at every turn.

Will dating her favorite hockey player play out just like Hannah's always dreamed? Or are some dreams never meant to come true?

5 Hannah and Brandon Stars

I enjoyed this single dad, sports romance so much. I read a lot of hockey romance and this one is definitely one I will re read.

Hannah (22/23) is a huge Las Vegas Kingsnakes fan and out of all the players , her all time favourite is Brandon 'Jet' Lear. Can you imagine having a huge crush on someone you admire and then one day , by happenstance , you end up talking to him? Meeting him? Falling madly in love with him for real?
I loved it when Hannah discovers the guy she's been texting , turns out to be Brandon. It was priceless.

I always think that authors take a big risk when one of the main characters is a fan of the other. There's a chance that the (usually) heroine or Hero could just lose themselves in the spotlight that shines on the successful character. Hannah is a sweetheart and she is a really good person but she's no doormat. She has a backbone and it was important that that came through to make her even more lovable. She is building her own success and carving out her own role in life.

Brandon (31) is going through lot of changes in his life. Maintaining a successful pro hockey career whilst being Dad to two very young daughters is tough. He struggles a lot with the age gap between him and Hannah and also with bringing someone important into the children's lives but the heart wants what the heart wants and eventually their relationship develops.

Great secondary characters - I am definitely reading Eli's books - Lucky Bounce: Instant Replay: Part One and Lucky Bounce: Game On: Part Two. I have to be honest and say that Ryder and Zoe's book which is the first one in the series , did not work for me. I wasn't a fan of Ryder at all but in this book I did like him very much.

Brandon's daughter Briar is the sweetest little girl. My heart broke for her and at one point she was crying and I was crying right alongside her.

The chemistry between Brandon and Hannah is there from the very start but it takes time before anything physical happens and there is some push and pull. However, once they give in to the passion , all bets are off and these two are explosive together.

And along with the romance, these two are really good friends too. I loved that they cared so deeply for each other.

Overall , a gorgeous book that deprived me of sleep in the best way possible. If you enjoy sports romances / age gap / single dad tropes , then snap this up.

My musical muse for this book is What Gave Me Away? by Trisha Yearwood.

HEA? More HFN but gorgeous and I'm sure they will be in the following books in the series. These two are definitely a forever couple.

Cheating? No

Lucky Number by Jennifer Lazaris is a sweet & spicy, emotional romance set in the hockey world. This is the first book in the series I've read yet it's the third releases and I can attest to the fact this can be read as a standalone but now I wanna go back and read the previous books! I adored these characters and this story fulfilled all my hockey hero fantasies. Who doesn't dream of catching the attention of a hockey star for any female hockey fan? Hannah was such a sweet, honest character that is so dedicated to those she loves, she'll put her own needs on the back burner. Brandon is a completely swoon worthy hockey hero that I didn't want to put down my kindle ~ until I wanted to smack him upside his head. This story was a complete emotional tale with highs and lows that took me all over the map and I was addicted! 5 "Bye Week Vacation" stars for Lucky Number by Jennifer Lazaris

OMG where do I begin.. Hannah loves hockey and Brandon has been her player for years. She accidentally texts him a sexy picture of herself without knowing it is his number. The fun banter between them is amazing before they find out who each other are. Once they find out its even more fun and sexy. But will Brandon let their 9 year age difference get in the way? Will Hannah be able to put his past behind her and will her family be okay with her dating an older man who is also a sexy athlete? The fun banter and the true to life story line drew me in and had me wanting more.

This was my first read by Jennifer and now can't wait to read the other books in the series

I loved this wrong number gone right Romance. It was fast paced with no lulls and it kept my emotions on their toes. I may have ugly cried at one point, gotten angry another, and laughed at some silly moments. But the constant that I felt was love. There was never a doubt in my mind that Brandon and Hannah were meant to be together.
I didn’t feel like I was missing much from not reading the other books in this series, although I enjoyed this book enough to go back and read them.
I was told about this book by a friend and I would definitely recommend this book.

3.5 stars

I really love Hannah and Brandon so they get a 4/5 stars minus a bit of the drama at the end. Great meet and such cute development between them and his kids! What really lowered the rating was all her family drama. Honestly it was frustrating how much of the book it took up and could have done without it for the majority of the story.

Wrong # right person!!

I really enjoyed the latest book in the series. It was funny, dramatic, and why yes also romantic. The chance meeting of Hannah and Brandon develops into so much more. I laughed and cried. This book was awesome!

**Good, but the dynamic didn't sit right with me**

In the name of transparency, I actually read this book when it first came out (about 2 to 3 years ago, I believe), and at the time, I LOVED it. And just like most other books I love, after I read it once, it sat in my Kindle library for a good two years before I picked it up again.

Upon re-reading this book, I found that there were a few aspects that just didn't sit right with me. For instance, the fact that there is an age gap (the age gap combined with everything else is where my issue lies, not the age gap alone), Hannah's obsession with Brandon (a pro hockey player), and a power imbalance (due to both of the previous points) was just too much at once for me to believe that this was a natural, 'meant to be' relationship. I also don't want to say that the relationship felt entirely contrived, but it definitely did the more the book went on. It seemed like, from the get-go, there wasn't a whole lot of chemistry. I will admit, the way that they 'met' really did set the foundation for some great chemistry to be built up, but it never felt like it reached its full potential.

The entire relationship just felt too convenient. After all, what college student could rock up in a professional athlete's life and be at his beck-and-call to look after and basically manage his kids, his groceries, tutor his sister, go to games with his dad, and fulfil every single role possible without any complaint? Plus, if he's as wealthy as he's being made out to be, then why doesn't he just pay someone to look after his kids, or why aren't they in daycare, therapy, SOMETHING? Why doesn't he have a personal assistant to manage his shambles of a life?

My issue with Hannah, I've concluded, is that she didn't feel like a real person. In all my years of schooling (through university and grad school, whilst also being the same age as Hannah), never have I met anyone who could balance the number of things that she seems to balance. And to do so without complaint was just wild. It would've been fantastic if she'd have been written with issues or flaws like the rest of us, rather than being portrayed as this Jack-of-all-trades, passive character. Like, girl, get angry! Be annoyed at the fact that your boyfriend of barely a few weeks can't manage his life, and that you're picking up the slack. I know for a fact that if my best friend wound up in the same situation as Hannah, I'd feel the need to question the relationship just a little bit.

Again, the premise of the story was really what hooked me, and I think our hero's character was really interesting. I liked the 'difficult past' storyline and the fact that he was a single dad, but I don't like how he seemed completely incompetent in managing his life and his daughters, and the fact that he was portrayed as needing a woman to 'fix' it. Brandon, darl, you're a grown-ass man, learn to take care of your kids, or at least pay someone else to do it. Leaving them to struggle their way through childhood isn't endearing, it's poor parenting. You may be time poor, but you're not money poor, so use your money to try and fix the issue. Duh.

Whilst there were most definitely moments in the book where I thought there was clear chemistry between the two main characters, there was always something that would happen either during or after that scene that would just remind me how off-kilter the dynamic was. And that, for me, is why I can't rate this book more than 3 stars.

My favorite part: the last chapter before the epilogue.

My other favorite part of this story: Hannah gave people the benefit of the doubt. She wasn't someone who made rash decisions or judged you- even if she could be hurt by the information. She was loving, caring, and loyal.

I loved this hockey romance story. Hannah & Brandon. What can I say? I thought they were cute, fun, had great banter, great with his kids and advice, really good with his family, and she was an awesome planner that could help de-stress Brandon's daily life. Hannah was such a true Hockey fan, and I loved how she interacted with Brandon over it.

I liked Brandon's teammates and their WAGs. They had good advice, a listening ear, and were very accepting.

My issues:
1. The person who a teammate invited into the vacation house- I just thought that could have played out the full time they were on vacation, not just one day so that it could help set up and further a story for said teammate and one of the ladies.

2. I felt like Briar was cute at times and 3-years-old and at others I wasn't a fan and she felt much older than her actual age.

3. This book felt parallel to another book in many ways by another author. Still, I liked both books but definitely I liked this one more. It had way more in depth of a story and way better ending/epilogue.

Lucky Number by Jennifer Lazaris is book 3 of her Las Vegas Kingsnakes series and can be read as a standalone.

‘For the first time in a very long time, he wished he could just fast-forward through tonight’s game so he could spend more time talking with her.’ - Brandon

This is the first book I've read of the series and I couldn't put it down. The description had me hooked but the book was even better than expected and I read it in one go. This book had me laughing out loud and I couldn't stop smiling as I read the addictive story of Brandon and Hannah who have become one of my favourite couples. I haven't stopped thinking about this book all day and I hated having to go to work as I wanted to sit and read Lucky Number all over again.

I'm usually a big reader but have recently struggled and didn't feel the same passion for reading as I used to. Lucky Number reminded me throughout why I enjoy reading so much and I can't wait to jump into the first two books of the series so I can spend more time with characters I've grown to love. I'll definitely be keeping up to date with the series and am excited for book 4 after we get glimpses of what's to come in this book.

I 100% recommend this book to anyone who has not yet read it. Don't delay in downloading it now!

Wow I am on a roll with another 5 star. I am just picking them right or it has to do with my vacation and reading while lounging in the sun.

Hannah is almost 23 and expects to graduate soon. She has a vlog and hopes to expand her business from that vlog channel. Her other passion is hockey and especially player Brandon Lear from the Las Vegas Kingsnakes. When she accidentally sends some pictures to his number they strike up a conversation. When they meet in person they are soon involved. But Brandon is 31, has two young daughters and an ex-wife on drugs.

I loved this story and the characters. Hannah and Brandon are a great couple and their struggles are real and understandable. Sometimes Hannah seemed to almost glide into Mary Sue territory (mature, great with the kids, great cook etc.) but somehow it worked and I had a big smile when I finished the book. I will check out the other books from this author.

One of my favorite hockey romances EVER! I enjoyed the previous books in this series but this one takes the prize. It kept me interested and I rushed through it to find out what happened next. I’ll be reading this one again and again. Can’t wait to see who finds love next. ☺️

I didn't know this had been released - how happy was I when I found it!

A really good book with the right amount of everything to keep me engaged. Brandon and Hannah were really likeable characters and really human flaws and all!

Can't wait for Holly and Eli's book
