Expect street-fighting, firefights and global locations. Fast cars, strong, beautiful women and truly twisted villains. Thriller fans have awarded Wolfe hundreds of five-star reviews. This boxset gives you the fourth, fifth and sixth novels in the series – over 1,000 pages of non-stop action. Gabriel's character develops over the course of these three novels and you learn more about his back story and the reasons he has developed into the man he is. Book 4: First When Gabriel flies to Mozambique in search of the mortal remains of his friend and former comrade Mickey “Smudge” Smith, he has the backing of the British prime minister. But every favour comes at a price. And now Gabriel has to complete another hit before he can continue his search for salvation. What he discovers next shakes his faith in everything he trusts. He has marched headlong into the heart of a corrupt web of land deals, blood diamonds and the global arms trade. At the centre of the web sits someone Gabriel can hardly believe is guilty. Someone he’ll need every ounce of his skills and resolve to defeat. Book 5: Just when life deals Gabriel a decent hand, his best friend is murdered. And Gabriel’s in the frame for the crime. Struggling to come to terms with her death, he finds his world collapsing around him. The woman calling herself Erin Ayers is rich, powerful, and very, very deadly. And she’s out for blood. Gabriel’s, mainly. But first she wants to destroy everything – and everyone – he loves. She’s hired an assassin Gabriel last met in Hong Kong to help her. Nobody is safe from Erin Ayers and her fury. But who is she? Why does she hate Gabriel Wolfe so much? And how can he discover her true identity? The clock is ticking… Book 6: When Gabriel receives a five-word text, his self-imposed exile in Hong Kong comes to an abrupt end. Honouring a blood oath he swore with Vinnie Calder, Gabriel investigates how the ex-Delta Force sniper ended up dead in the middle of the Texan desert. What he discovers shocks the battle-hardened soldier to the depths of his soul. Assisted by biotechnology tycoon, Clark Orton, a deniable CIA team is planning to trial a new biological weapon on Cambodian orphans. Operating alone, Gabriel traces the plot to the heart of the Cambodian jungle. But powerful people want Gabriel silenced, permanently. And they’re happy to use any means necessary to protect their asset.

Unbiased

The book was exciting and surprisingly rather accurate in the disruption of location which I found rather satisfying since I live in San Antonio. The stories are very well composed your editing is above par. Having been schooled by nuns proper grammar was drilled into our young minds, thus we are aghast with misspelling and grammatical errors. I look forward to the next series of he's adventures.

What can I say about this trilogy? Well I could not wait to read the next page and each book just sailed along without a blip. Can't wait for Gabriel to spread his wings into the next chapter.

Holy Landmine Batman !

This was my first reading of Mr Maslen, and I enjoyed it immensely ! His characters are vivid and gritty, as well as realistic. There are many ups and downs in the plots that keep you going from satisfied to sad.

British

A few misspelled words, a few missed words, a few American words spelled the British way. Well developed plots that continue in each book consistently.

As I said for Book #4: First Casualty, I LOVE*LOVE*LOVE Gabriel Wolfe! Can't get enough of his story ~ what's NOT to love about this series??? Books #5: Fury and #6: Rattlesnake are simply brilliant in furthering the story ~ in Fury, Gabriel deals with a deadly past association as everyone he loves dies at her instruction, and at the hands of an assassin Gabriel allowed to live. This is hell. In Book #6: Rattlesnake, Gabriel comes to Texas to deal with the murder of one of his friends, a soldier with whom he made a blood pact: if one of them died and it wasn't in his own bed, come looking for his murderer. Gabriel investigates at the request of the wife. And ~ boy! ~ does he get more than he bargained for! At the least, he remembers he DOES want this life, even without Britta ~ which leads us into Book #7! Yay! So glad Mr Maslen found a way to move us forward into the next adventure ~ because I plan to join Gabriel on ALL of his adventures and I can only hope there will be MANY, MANY, MANY of them to come!
