Ruthless. Powerful. Dangerous. Meet the big, bad Wolfe. He rules the darkest corners of this city. And he doesn’t have any soft spots left for a beautiful, smart-mouthed vigilante. Kella is a hunter. It’s the only way to survive on the streets—and it feels good. She’s never met a threat she couldn’t handle. Never stalked a criminal she couldn’t destroy. She’s too young and too wild for Wolfe, but when a threat from his past rises up he'll tear apart the city to save her. Enemies surround them, shadows overtake them, but the biggest risk is between them—a love that could break them both. In a world where Fairytales are for children and happy endings are lies, Wolfe and Kella will have to learn to forge their own story with grace between mercy.

Ron is the ex-mafia vigilante who rules the town. He’s looking for Kella for some time and they finally meet each other over a dead body, the body that Kella had killed.

Killer recognizes killer.

Ron thinks someone like him doesn’t get his happy endings, he thinks caring about someone is a liability, that Kella is a risk but…

I don’t know exactly what’s the problem with this one, there was something missing or maybe it was just my mood. Told in dual POV, 1st person. It’s a standalone novella (with character crossover), it’s angsty with a huge age-gap (Ron is in his forties and Kella in her early twenties), fast-paced and a bit dark. Overall, I enjoyed this but not as much I liked.

Title: Grace Between Mercy
Author: S. Ferguson
Genre: Contemporary Romance,
Publication Date: February 13, 2018

ARC

I have been waiting for Grace Between Mercy since I read the synopsis a while back. I have say, I am slightly disappointed, only slightly. But not that disappointed that I wouldn't give it a 4 star rating.

This book was faced paced and I did finish it in one sitting. The angst is high, the frustration is high but to be honest, maybe it's because I've been spoiled by other 'grittier' books but the action isn't the best (That's just my opinion).

Kella is such a hardass! She is feisty and brave but maybe a tad reckless and impatient. Ron is older, wiser and has the patience of a saint- enter Kella, his one weakness, his one hope, his redemption and his love. I loved the chemistry between Kella and Ron.

Sadly, I really don't like their names. The name 'Ron' doesn't sound so badass does it? That name is synonymous and will always ever be for Ron Weasley and Ron Weasley alone. Did you know that the name Kella means Dick in my country?! Yup hahahaha
It's kind of hard to imagine these two characters going at it when in my mind, I just picture two separate entities- Ron Weasley and a Dick. LOL! Sorry.

Enough said though.... Besides the debacle that is the name, I enjoyed Grace Between Mercy.

S. Ferguson knows how to deliver the unexpected! Each book in the series has felt new and fresh with the added bonus of being a bit shocking! The storylines are definite wins and will keep me coming back for more.

I’m starting to wonder how the hell she comes up with these ideas. I mean seriously, the mafia boss and the serial killer? That’s worth the price of admission right there.

As the author’s writing matures, she’ll become a staple in the dark romance genre.

I get that this is supposed to be “dark” but I just couldn’t get into a book where the hero physically assaults the heroine. Right off the bat, he knees her in the face, punches her, and slams her against a wall to the point she has the wind knocked out of her.

Not too long after, he separates her from a fight between her and one of his mafia guys by dragging her back by her hair. Wtf?

Am I to understand correctly that we are fetishizing physically abusive women beaters? I don’t give a damn that she’s a killer, he attacked her first.

So bizarre that there were plenty of comments about discomfort over the age gap but none over the fact that he beat the shit out of her.

I loved this book! This is the third book by S Ferguson, and while the characters and stories all entwine they can be read as standalones.

Kella is a badass female serial killer, just this fact was enough to sell the story to me right from the start! I love a powerful female, and Kella is the epitome of this. Did I mention she is only 20? Ron is the boss that's been in the previous books, now this is finally his book. He's a bit of a silver fox and nobody really knows his real age, I couldn't help but imagine him much younger than I think he actually is meant to be.

Right from the very first page I was on tenterhooks, this book is full of action and shocks, a little taboo and it's a little dark in places which I loved! I need more! Can't wait to find out what's next!
Five stars!

Ron was hard as nails but had a heart underneath the facade. He isn't the nicest guy in terms of professions but did what he needed to survive. He carries a lot of guilt over things but also treated those around him like family. He doesn’t care what others think only what is right for him and those around him. when Kella comes into his world things go upside down and rightside up. He is fighting himself and his attraction believing his world will crush her...He feels that she deserves better which is odd due to what she does. When he sees her in danger and the consequences of it it guts him.

Kella was a killer with an attitude. At times she will drive you nuts but with her past you understand. She is also strong and stubborn. She pushes Ron an also comforts him. they soothe each others pain on the inside and understand one another. Her jealousy and way of acting in terms of Lexi will drive you nuts. It goes against the person she portrays but is also good to see that she does feel. You see her struggle with letting others in and believe that the only one there for her is herself. So sad and it does hurt ron. He does some really wonderful things to try to make her strong and see that there are people there for her and are now a part of her family.

Their attraction sizzles and their story is dangerous, dark, sexy and alluring. We get both Ron’s and Kella’s views and I like Ron’s the best. His is more exact and goes with who he is. We see his struggle, his guilt his pain and his love. He is raw in his thoughts and it endears you to him. Kella’s views don’t really let you in but see what she wants you too. We see her confusion to a point but more her anger and her shutting people out. So for me the fact that Ron has us see all of him and doesn’t hold back with his thoughts it makes him more reachable. I believe though that S. Ferguson does this on purpose so that we can get a feel for the characters and see them grow and where they stand at any point. We get to watch Kella change and see what Ron is giving her but also her stubbornness and her wall she keeps up even to the reader. It gives the idea that she is hiding her pain and herself and it is Ron and his crew that has her slowly feel.

The story is dark and dangerous. Things are not fluffy nor should they be with what Ron and Kella are dealing with and who they are. There love story has lots of bumps and danger...but oh so worth it..

I enjoyed Grace between Mercy.

Ron Wolfe is not your typical mob boss, he’s actually human. Oh, believe me, he can be inhumane and wield a gun like no other. The part of Ron Wolfe that is endearing is his love for his daughter and tolerance for Declan, his support of Greg and Jake’s relationship, two of his best enforcers, and now these feelings he’s having for the Grace Killer.

Kella is a wonderful strong heroine. She needs no one and has fought alone for far too many years. She’s an old soul in a young woman’s body. She’s a champion for others in memory of young girl dear to her. She’s damaged but not broken.

Ron and Kella make no sense, yet make perfect sense.

If you forget you are reading about a bunch of criminals, who kill without compunction, then this is a highly entertaining story. It reads similar to a TV show where you have a bunch of friends who gather in a bar, have drinks and joke around. Except that the owner of the bar is the owner of a criminal empire who owns the city and most of the police force and the friends gathered in the band are his employees who will kill and maim a person following his orders. One good thing about Ron, he has values and an honor system. He won’t kill an innocent, just other criminals like him who get in his way. Jeez.

Kella is a young woman who lived in the foster system, was abused and has since been on a killing spree. She sees herself as a serial killer, but again, she has morals. She only kills scum of the earth, men who prey on women or children who are in the street and have no one else to protect or avenge them.

Ron meets Kella right after she killed Lorenzo, a lowlife who abused a woman and is involved in a stake out of Ron’s business. Ron has a rival called Tony, who wants to take over some of his territory and they’re having a turf war. There’s some espionage, treason, kidnapping, and politics involved in all their dealings. Meetings have been held to avoid an all out war but peace is unlikely and Ron wants Kella to accompany him to a meeting posing as his girlfriend but acting as his bodyguard. It has to be said that Della is only twenty-one and Ron is a die hard criminal in his late forties. Since Kella is a wild thing and only acts alone, she’s not very enthusiastic about his offer, but he strong-arms her to his bar, holds her for a while and then convinces her to work for him because she has a target on her back. So now Kella has joined the band of bandits in Ron’s bar.

The characters in the bar are a hoot. There’s a gay couple, Greg and Jake. They’re not shy demonstrating their love. Greg is nice and quiet but Jake is a little psycho. He and Della form a sort of sibling rivalry relation, with frequent offers of offing each other. Declan is Jake’s brother, he’s very good looking, a huge god-like guy, quiet, wise and friendly. Bree is Ron’s daughter, several years older than Della, girlfriend to Declan who literally adores her. Bree grew away from Ron and was abused by her mother, unknown to Ron, and she’s now with Ron’s band of bandits. Her story is covered in another book that I want to read because these people are highly entertaining.

The book reads fast, because it’s so entertaining and there’s always something going on. However I have a problem with this story. Criminal life has been romanced. These guys are shown to be like normal people, with feelings and morals, friends and loyalty, they fall in love and want to make their loved ones happy. They have a moral code and want happily ever afters. It feels like it’s ok to be lawless and be in love. It’s like accepting something that is unacceptable. And it paints them as normal loving people with a side of killer. It doesn’t represent reality but it does entertain. However, I worry that it will make crime acceptable and romantic to readers, specially young readers. Hey, I’m a reader and I have morals too, LOL.

The romance interest in this story are Ron and Kella, who start out as enemies and end up lovers. They have a strong attraction and Ron doesn’t want to act on it to protect Kella because anyone who is close and important to Ron will have a target on their backs and will make him too vulnerable. Plus make his life difficult, trying to protect them. He has enough worrying with Bree. Kella has always had a dream of belonging and having a family, although she believes that her fate will be to be alone, no mercy and no grace. There’s some yummy sex scenes because apart from being a criminal, Ron is also a sex god. I tell you, this book is highly entertaining, it has everything you will want in a love story and more, except surprise pregnancies. Fun!

GRACE BETWEEN MERCY is S. Ferguson's third novel, it is a standalone read, But to enjoy to the fullest i would and can highly recommend reading her two previous books. SOMETHING THERE IN BETWEEN and BETWEEN THE SECRETS as there are characters that are inter woven between the three books.

"There is no grace, there is no mercy"

Ron Wolfe run's his area, nothing happens without his knowledge. While he is feared by most and what he does is criminal he also keeps the town in check and relatively safe. He's not the only one ridding the street's of lowlifes. Ron knows about "The Grace Killer" they are both killers, it takes one to know one. But when he gets a message sent from the grace killer he decides he now has a new agenda he wants her working for him.

Kella is a spitfire a force to be reckoned, she never has and never will need anybody. So she won't go down without a fight when Ron demands that she now work for and with him. Growing up in foster care constantly watching her back has left her with deep scars. She won't admit that she is broken thinking she can and will take on everything and everyone. Ron may know she needs saving but will he be her saviour or her downfall.

"This is a man in charge. This is the Ron of legends. This man will make your life, or break it."

Grace Between Mercy was everything i wanted from Ron and Kella story. It was gripping, dangerous, intense sexual chemistry and oh sooooo good. I have loved this debut series and have fallen hard for each of these's strong and broken characters. I can't wait to see what comes next from S. Ferguson on a whole. And i'm really intrigued on how Alex's story is going to be told will this character be able to redeem himself. Now your wondering who's Alex's well get to reading and find out!!

"I am my own savior.
There is ,
there is no "

Ron has been an intriguing character ever since I met him in Bree's story, knowing that he is a dominant man with power and a legion of loyal men in his empire, you can't help but be drawn to his character and persona. When Kella appears, all kicks and feist, Ron were inexplicably attracted to her like a moth to the flame, but will he give in to the desire? Or let them perish to the danger surrounding them?

"The top is lonely."

I was looking forward to Ron's story, and while it did fulfill some of my expectations, I was hoping for something more, the extra edge to Ron's character that I was hoping to see. Don't get me wrong, I love their chemistry, the dynamic of their relationship and bathe in all the angst and drama. Overall, it was a good story but it wasn't blew-my-mind kind of great. Perhaps I had wandered far deeper into the darker corners of contemporary romance and Grace Between Mercy felt like as if I am just tip-toeing on the horizon and in between the shades of grey.

I do love mafia romance (or anything with mafias in them), so hell yeah! I'm still liking it.

Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this if you're just starting to embrace darker themed books but is not ready for something too hardcore, Grace Between Mercy would be the perfect read for you!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book generously provided by Social Butterfly PR and the author. Thank you for the reviewing opportunity!

I had no idea what to expect in Grace Between Mercy by S. Ferguson, this is Ron's story and Ferguson's third book in this series. All can be read as standalones, but I would recommend that you read the first two to feel that connection to the other characters. The secondary characters play such a big part which I love.

Ron Wolfe is our hero in so many ways, he is the silver fox alpha male who rules the city, men fear him and woman love him. It's Ron's heart that will capture yours, he stays true to who he is by demanding respect with his men and the men that he makes deals with. He may come off hard and scary, but he does right by women and those he cares about. Ron meets his match when he comes face to face with a younger feisty uncontrollable female...a killer with trust issues.

"My body responds as if being commanded by him, a perfect maestro of my pleasure."

Kella is our feisty little bad ass killer who has lived life on the streets. She's young, beautiful, unpredictable and the one thing you don't want to do is turn your back on her. Kella will try and take down the biggest man if she could. That is until she meets the man whose name is feared and respected on the streets. Ron will confuse her, pushing and pulling emotions that she has never felt before. Will she be able to protect herself against his enemies while guarding her heart?

'I have been alone from the beginning and I will
be alone in the end. I am my own savior.
There is no grace, there is no mercy."

Grace Between Mercy grabbed me from the beginning, the suspense kept me on edge and the forbidden passionate relationship between Ron and Kella. This is a must read that will have you gasping for a breath, smirking with all the back and forth teasing remarks, falling in love with the author, main and secondary characters.

I cannot express how much I loved this book, I literally devoured every word. I love the concept of the characters being what society would consider bad people but also showing that everyone deserves a happy ending. The book is really well written and the plot flows flawlessly with twists and turns you just don’t see coming.

I loved reading from Kella’s and Ron’s point of view, the joint narration of the book works really well too. I adore Jake’s character, he was my favourite by far I thought he was so funny. There were points of the book where I was howling with laughter, points where I was biting my nails not knowing what was gonna happen but also crying wondering why things weren’t going as I wanted.

I highly recommend this book, once you’re a couple of chapters in you will not want to put the book down, I was glued to my kindle at every opportunity I had. I can’t wait for the next book S. Ferguson writes.

What an action packed addition to this series. I love Kella, she was fierce and one you root for. Ron is all grit and just man. Sigh.... loved him.

This isn't hearts and flowers romance. There is angst and drama and dark. There is some really hot chemistry between these two. It's one of my favorite parts of this book.

If you love fast paced, dark, and out of the box romance stories then this is for you. The series is good and you should check out the rest of the books. I'm glad I did and I'm looking forward to the next one.

This is book three in this series. This author has not let me down. This book starts with an action pack bang. It caught my attention and kept it. I could not put this book down. Kella is such a badass main female lead. Ron is badass as well and the head of a notorious mob. You should read the first two before to not miss any details.

Two people needing each other for different reason. Things get tangled up and go a different way than planned. This is written well and I sailed right through it. I highly recommend this book.

First, Kudos on this cover! I freaking LOVE IT!!!!

Second, this book was pretty damn awesome. For S. Ferguson's 3rd book, its a pretty decent, fast paced read. Ron, our sexy, silver fox and Kella. Not a fan of the name, but eh, it didn't ruin the book. Anyway, these two are pretty damn hot, and I loved that you get a little bit of Bree, Declan, Greg and Jake. This is a stand-alone, but do yourself a favor and read the other books when you get a chance, because they are awesome as well!!

Interesting read. It's a bit of a darker and violent romance involving a mob boss and a younger woman who's a killer. The scenes are steamy and I enjoyed the plot. I thought Kella started out strong and independent, but she ended up turning emotional and needy for Ron, which I didn't care for. Quick read and pretty good.

Ron and Kella are both badasses with a guard they don't want to let down. Ron has become hardened over the years and refuses to let anyone too close before meeting Kella. He holds onto a lot of guilt and feels that anyone he let's into his life will get hurt. Kella is a young woman who has had to defend herself to survive time and time again. Being from foster home to foster home she grew up feeling like you can never trust anyone but yourself. Together, Ron and Kella slowly help each other bring their guards down for one another.

I personally love all three books out to date by this author. As far as subject matter in this book I think some reviewers have forgotten this is the killer between killer book. Does Kella attack Ron yes and does he strike back yes.
Some forget this was there first meeting and hello she’s a serial killer I actually didn’t count this as a boyfriend or husband or vice versa abuse.
This series deals with killers, assassins, mafia, and touchy subject matters with each book. If you can not read those types of books or are one to read disclaimer then do not read this series.
I think they can be enjoyed best by reading in order to follow with characters. Each ends with a type of cliffs leading into the next! I hate that I do wish that was disclosed. However well written series thus far all touching on dark themes which I knew prior to starting. I think book 2 is my favorite because I live Jake but this was my second fav of series.
Not sure how book 4 will be as I do not like Alex

Intriguing

This story kept me intrigued the entire time. I wanted to know what happened to Kella and if her and Ron could figure it out and be together. I definitely recommend reading the other two stories in the series first because while this gave you enough background to be considered a stand alone it would have been good to know what happened prior to this. An overall really good story.

Grace Between Mercy is the third book in S. Ferguson’s debut series. While I’ve loved all of series I will say that this has been my favorite book! Characters from the previous two books will also make return appearances. One of the things I love about this series is you see and feel the camaraderie and trust these characters have among each other. No matter what, they have the others back!

Ron Wolfe is a badass! He is wise and seasoned from the years of leading his men. Although he rules his community with an iron fist, he is both feared and respected by folks, he also has most of the local law enforcement in his back pocket. How better to turn a blind eye as he rids the community of the low life and criminals?

Then there is this little spitfire of a fighter named Kella. A feisty young lady who has lived on the streets far too long. Brave beyond her years but will never back down from anyone or anything. She’s always taken matters into her own hands when it comes to taking care of herself. Why should she, there has never had anyone to take care of herself but her.

"I am my own savior.
There is grace,
there is no mercy"

Since Ron and Kella know of each other, what happens when Kella, the Grace Killer, sends a message to meet with Ron? Exactly what you would expect when two bad asses meet… FIREWORKS!! Both of them are killers, strong willed and unwavering. It’s at this meeting that they are both kind of surprised by the other. Kella seeing the handsome, dominating Ron and Ron as he takes in the gritty, courageous, young lady.

Now it’s game on to see who is going to be the one in control. Furthermore, throw in some angst with a hell of a lot of scorching hot chemistry and see what happens.

Lest not forget this is a mafia book and what would we have without some “who done it” and little shady, underground goings-on?

Grace Between Mercy is an easy, fast paced book that will keep you engaged. It was also awesome that Bree, Declan, Jake and Greg were a big part of tis book too. I can hardly wait for S. Ferguson’s next book!!

***If you enjoyed this book I totally encourage you to also read Something There In Between, Bree and Declan as well as Between the Secrets, Jake and Greg.

** 4.5 Hearts

Grace Between Mercy is the third book in S. Ferguson’s debut series. Each book can be read as standalone but I recommend reading them all since they are pretty awesome. If you did read the first two books in the series then you know exactly who Aron Wolfe is. If you didn’t read them then just know that he isn’t a man to fuck with...

Kella knows who Ron is even though she hasn’t met him. Everyone in this town does. She might be slightly terrified of the man but she will never show it. She doesn’t owe him shit. But for some reason he wants her to go with him. To his hide-out. To meet his crew. She refused. She doesn’t need anyone. Never has and never will. She is a killer. She works alone. That is until Ron doesn’t take no for an answer. She hates him for that.

Ron shouldn’t be doing this. He knows this but he sees potential in this young woman. She is hard. She is stubborn. A bit crazy. She is innocent. She doesn’t want him to know that but he sees it. He also sees that she needs help but will never admit it. He also knows that he shouldn’t feel things for her. Thoughts that could make her a target if it becomes a reality.

Ron and Kella are two killers who fight. Fight for what is right. Fight for their lives. Fight for what they believe it. They are two stubborn souls who cross each other. Can they work together or will they fight to the end?

If you are looking for a hearts and flowers romance, this isn’t it. If you are looking for a book with danger, heat, and some crazy then you found it. Kella is a badass but she needs direction. Ron can give her that if she allows it.

Overall...once I started, I didn’t want to stop and for the most part I didn’t. It’s a fast read full of violence, heat, family, and twists.

Quotes:

“You have an interesting story, Kella.”

She’s a walking contradiction of innocence and filth.

“Horrible ideas are my specialty,” I quip, already marching toward Ron’s office.

Before anything else, let me just say that.. THIS. BOOK. IS. A. KILLER. S. Ferguson did it again!!! She did it again. **sigh** I've been there when she released her debut novel- Something There in Between, Book 1 of this series. A humble beginning but I was totally in love with her words (and her boys).

I've been waiting (impatiently ;) ) for Ron's story since the start of the series and because S. Ferguson kept dropping sneak peaks here and there. And true to her words, S. Ferguson didn't disappoint. We hoped, she delivers. Ron and Kella's story is more than what I had wished for. It was more than my heart could take. The way she brings out the beauty in broken with her characters is like defying gravity. Simply mind-blowing.

**Full review coming soon!**

This torture needs to stop. I can't keep doing this to myself.

I haven't said this in a long time. And i don't know if I've ever really meant it before. But... I love you, Kella.

Kella is a killer, but not your average serial killer, no she's one who saves women. She's a hunter who's never met a threat she couldn't handle, especially since it's the only way for a young woman to survive on the streets. That is until the day she came face to face with baddie, Ron Wolfe, who runs the city, and doesn't have any soft spots for little girls. But he decides to take her under his wing, and offer her a job with his crew, but she's still wary of letting herself accept any help from anyone, as she knows that only person she can count on herself. But there's something about Ron that Kella can't get out of her head, however, the pain from his past has become his armor, so he keeps her at arms length, and Kella finds herself getting hurt instead. Grace Between Mercy was a story that instantly transported me into the brilliant S. Ferguson's dark underworld, and when it was over, I found that I didn't want to leave. It was one wild ride with twists & turns around every corner that had the f-bombs dropping fast & furious, with an ending that kind of left me hanging even though Kella & Ron were basically wrapped up, so I have to add her to the list of author's trying to kill me dead, while hash tagging her #EVILWHORE forevermore! Now, Ron & Kella had a push & pull that was seriously frustrating but it made their sexy times very explosive which had them lighting the sheets (& random furniture) up when they did go off! And the colorful cast of secondaries made for hilarious moments that had me laughing not to mention more excitement & action! I loved every moment of this story, and hopefully there is more to this series after that ending so I will be waiting impatiently, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

*****ARC Received for Honest Review*****
I have not read any of the previous books in this serious, but I came into this wanting to love this book because the cover was so amazing and the blurb for the book was so enticing. I was not disappointed. The gritty and seediness of the under belly of the crime world and that of organized crime and killers. Kella and Ron’s story of fighting and trying to stay alive is real and in your face. It was a book that you couldn’t put down if you tried, because you had to know what was coming next, what was around the next corner, what were Kella and Ron’s path lead them.-Review by Catherine(Catty)

*** ARC Received for Honest Review ***
I had not realized when starting this book that I read S. Ferguson's first book, Something There In Between. As I was reading Grace Between Mercy, everything came back to me and I realized what an AMAZING treat I was in for. This book is SOOOOOOOO good. I love Kella and Ron!

Kella is a vigilante assassin of sorts; a girl who has always been on her own. Ron is the heart-hardened leader of a very unsavory group of men. With such a target on his back, falling for anyone, especially the very young Kella could not be good idea....but oh it so is!

Now that I realize this is the third in the series I have to go back to read the second. Not so much because they all need to be read, this is a complete stand alone, but more because after reading about Declan and Brea's relationship (book one in the series) and Ron and Kella's relationship I absolutely HAVE to go back and read about Greg and Jake! You really need to check out all of S. Fergurson's books! (review by Terri "Jane")

Gripping, lighthearted, honest and dangerous

GRACE BETWEEN MERCY is S. Ferguson's third novel, and it couldn't be any more different from her previous two: SOMETHING THERE IN BETWEEN and BETWEEN THE SECRETS. This is a book about crime, but it is written in such a way that it becomes just a part of every day life. It's not dark or mysterious, it's gripping, lighthearted, honest and dangerous. This is Ron and Kella's story and I loved it.

Ron and Kella are both killers, ridding the streets of low life scum who prey upon the innocent. Ron owns a bar, where his crew hang out just like regulars at any bar around town. He forces Kella to his bar where he convinces her to work for him - as his bodyguard. An interesting circumstance considering Ron is in his forties ad a feared criminal and Kella is only twenty one and just starting out. Being attracted to Kella is not a good idea in ron's eyes or mind, as it will put a target on her back in the eyes of his enemies. Kella is a solo smoking gun, can Ron lead her in the right direction or does he have to leave her alone?

I loved this book, the crossovers with the two earlier books were wonderful. It was great to catch up with Bree and Declan and Greg and Jake. A thoroughly enjoyable read and one I highly recommend.

Lots of mafia intrigue in this story! The violence among the factions of the mafia were well written as well. Character development and scene development are nicely done. This story ends on a cliffhanger. Not a bad cliffhanger, but one nonetheless.

My only complaint is the taboo in the book- the age gap between the hero and heroine. Her youth appeared so often it was hard to disregard.

This review is my personal opinion of this story. As usual my personal opinion should have ZERO influence on your experience with the story. If the two main characters were closer in age, this story would easily be a 4.5 star read. With that being said, read, enjoy, and leave a review!

Terrific!

Great characters. I love Kella, she’s one of those characters that you fight for, cry for. She’s a killer. Doesn’t take crap off anyone but deep down she’s broken. Growing up in foster care constantly watching her back has left her with deep scars. She needs saving and the man she’s just signed up to protect just maybe her savior.

This is really a great read. I’ve loved the series and with each book I fall more in love with these characters. If you like a strong fierce heroine then this is definitely for you.
