The ALIGN System optimizes execution, operations and business performance. It gets everyone in the organization on the same page right from the start of planning, to implementation through tracking results. Its transformative power makes the entire enterprise (business) aligned, communicative and accountable.
ALIGN assures priorities established at the executive level are effectively and efficiently cascaded throughout the entire organization.
Moreover, the ALIGN system provides a cultural framework to assure everyone’s actions are focused, specific, time-bounded, and aligned. When used as Tony recommends, the ALIGN System becomes an integral part of how a company does business and becomes ingrained into the culture.
I personally experienced the power of ALIGN as VP of Marketing & Band Management, at Bay Networks. The ALIGN System successfully marshaled the company’s resources; people, budgets, timeframes and expected outcomes with the priorities of the corporation.
On the flip side, I’ve also seen what happens when the ALIGN System goes unheeded. After Bay was acquired, we anticipated that ALIGN would be put in place by Nortel Networks. Regrettably it was not and while ALIGN may not have guaranteed success, its use at least would have given the company a fighting chance to take on Cisco.
I implore anyone interested in improving their business execution to read this book.
The ALIGN System is about optimal business performance from an implementation, tracking, and accountability perspective. The system provides a framework that assures an organization’s actions are focused, specific, and aligned. When used as recommended, the system is an integral part of how a company does business…completely ingrained into the company’s culture.
I’ve seen, firsthand, the power of the ALIGN System. We used a similar system at Norcom AG, when I was the CFO; it aligned the company’s people resources, budget, outcomes, and timeframes with corporate level priorities. The result was tremendous growth over a 10 year period, which culminated in a successful IPO.
I recommend that anyone interested in improving their business performance, operations, and execution should read this book.
