Razor moved from the Memphis RTMC chapter to Chattanooga to set up and manage a series of laundromats, because the local chapter needs more ways to legitimize their illegal income. He’s gay, but the Chattanooga chapter has accepted gay couples into their social circle, so he hopes they can accept him.

Matty is about to graduate college, and he’s in the market for a Daddy. He walks into the RTMC bar with two of his girlfriends, and a huge hulk of a man rescues him from some rednecks. He recognizes the bouncer for the leather daddy he is, and sparks fly between them.

Most of the MC is prepared to accept Razor as a gay brother, but they know they’ll have to figure things out as they happen once Razor is serious about someone. Will his ‘boy’ be an ol’lady? And can all the ol’lady rules really apply to a man?

Razor is a Raven, Matty is human. The RTMC fits into the local supernatural hierarchy in a myriad of ways, and Razor is already friends with Abbott and Spence.

But a supernatural storm is about to blindside the club, and their personal ties to The Dragon King and Master Vampire won’t be enough to help.

This title can be read as a stand-alone.

Warning:
Male-male sexual practices are front and center in this book, not to mention it’s kinky as your grandmother’s old phone cord. Razor and Matty are heavy on the D/s, the S&M, and the B&D.

Since some reviewers have been surprised by this, it seems necessary to also warn that sometimes bikers solve problems with their fists, and there’s lots of sexy fun in the clubhouse with women who hang around because they want to be there, and who can leave anytime they want.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Candace Blevins writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, epic fantasy contemporary BDSM romance, and two kick-ass motorcycle club series. She’s published more than fifty books. Candace lives with her husband of twenty-four years and their two teenaged daughters. The family’s beloved, goofy, retired racing greyhounds are usually at her side as she writes, quietly keeping her company. Or sometimes not so quietly.

Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, three different species of vampires, and a variety of other mythological beings exist.

Candace's various paranormal romance series are all sister series to the Only Human series, and give some secondary characters their happily ever after.

Her Dark(ish) Faerie Tale series gives us a close-up and personal look at Queen Mab, and her Dark Underbelly series is, as you’d expect, dark and (if you’re a little twisted) oh-so-yummy.

Her contemporary Safeword series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each couple in the Safeword series gives the reader a different take on the lifestyle.

Erotically intense, romantically sweet - Razor is unexpected. I have come to expect a certain type of angst or major struggle between the main characters in Ms. Blevins' stories. Or a forced accelerated sexual growth or maturity as a central plot. This one pleasantly surprised me as it is neither angsty nor was there any major drama. And the supernatural world did not rear its ugly head with good versus evil fighting for the rights to earth. Instead, we are treated to a lovely erotic romance between two men who know what they want. This story can be read as a standalone. Personally, I recommend reading the other books in the series to get a better feel for the world as well as the secondary characters. Ms. Blevins does give a nice dossier on the different characters at the beginning of the book which will help new readers ease into this world.

Where to start? I like the characters. I really like Razor. He's my type of Daddy Dom and his character seduced me from the beginning. Matty, the sweet little boy is adorable. I like that he meets several of the twink stereotypes and he's not bothered by it. He may have some flaws, but that only makes him perfect. The interactions between Razor and Matty are refreshing. They communicate well together and they don't have baggage coming into the relationship. Or I should say, very little baggage as Matty did lose whom he thought would be his forever Master due to a death. That would affect and change anyone. What I enjoy most about these two is their erotic power exchange and the ease of slipping into a semi-domestic discipline relationship. The maintenance spankings completely appealed to me. I'm a bit envious of Matty. The two together are so good and it's nice to read about characters who aren't fighting the relationship or in denial about their feelings.

This leads me to their kink play. Good Lord have mercy on me. The BDSM in this story is hawt. Super hawt with sadist Doms and Dommes mixing in piercing, breath play, orgasm denials, forced orgasms and heavy SM. The kink is all pretty plausible (except for the whole vampire drinking blood thing) and I was over the moon with the descriptions. Ms. Blevins does a very nice job of giving just the right amount of kink at the right time in the stories. The kink in this story is necessary because it is a way for Matty and Razor to bond better. The intimacy in the SM which does include fisting, brings the two closer together. It is as if they are tuning into each other's wavelength the more they explore together. I love it. This tale is a sweet romance story with a bite. This is not to say it is all roses because there is also punishment in the story. And it isn't pretty or easy. There are no funishments in this book. When Matty steps out of line, he knows it and gracefully accepts his punishment. This does not mean quietly... because some of the punishments are brutal!

This lengthy novel packs quite a bit in it. Just as I thought it would end, there was more to the story. I've come to expect this of Ms. Blevins and I appreciate her for giving so much and yet still wanting more when the story comes to an end. One item which caught my attention is how Ms. Blevins continues to easy slice the timeline and move forward. This story's timeline goes through at least a year. I like this technique because it does feel like more has happened and that we are progressing forward. This judicious usage of moving time forward with just a few paragraphs keeps a reader's attention whilst making the story more plausible with the length of a romance. I appreciate her not going into every detail of every day.

This story is a nice breather from the ever intense "people out to get them" themes in the other books of the series. The focus is more on the relationships within the MC and how it relates to the greater supernatural world. It is fascinating to see how something I probably wouldn't think twice of as an issue become such a large problem. It is interesting to note the consequences of a careless negligent act due to a personal bias - and how it snowballs into a political nightmare. I won't lie, the restitution needed to correct this error seemed a bit over the top to me. However, I'm not in the MC lifestyle so I can't honestly judge if it is too much or too little. I can say that it did arouse me and I had to break out the vibrator. My only regret is the scene was more a quick overview instead of a graphic viewing of the restitution. I wish I could been in the audience and I would have stayed until the end! This erotic m/m romance is recommended to paranormal readers who have a penchant for Daddy Doms, Leather Daddies and sadistically kinky motorcycle men.

The side of Candace Blevins that I love … BDSM. She brings us a story that combines her paranormal, MC and BDSM story lines together. And, some may think that it's a little too much, but I didn't. It's Daddy Dom, M/M and entirely fascinating. I've never read Daddy Dom but I am glad that I picked this one up and took the time to read it and understand it.

Trust and honesty … that's what this story is all about. The trust that the RTMC has in Razor … the honesty he has with them about his life. The trust that Matty has in Razor to give him what he needs … the honesty that is demanded and brings them closer together. The trust that, once Matty finds out about his Raven and other supernaturals, he won't run … the honesty between Razor and Matty regarding all aspects of their lives. Candace Blevins brought all of this across elegantly.

I loved the twists and turns and the characters portrayed in this story. Matty is a true Twink and has a habit of not thinking before he speaks if he is in a stressful situation. This causes problems on more than one occasion. Razor is a Dominant from beginning to end. But, the real problem is Dozer and his feelings towards gay people. He makes his feelings known more than once and causes a rift between all supernatural beings that may be too big to close.

So much happened within the confines of this story that it truly is impossible to summarize. But, let's just say that all the characters became one unit. They came together as an MC Club and stood by their brothers through thick and thin. They came together as ol'ladies and welcomed Matty as one of their own. Mattie became an integral part of the story and unblurred some lines. The BDSM was front and center and wonderfully written, as usual, by Candace. Some of it is heavy but totally makes sense in this story.

Dozer's attitude pissed me off on several occasions. I understand why it was written in the book and the message, in the end, that it sent was wonderful and brought that part of the story full circle. I loved how Candace wrote in why he shouldn't feel that way and I totally agreed with it.

Razor, at times, confused me. He wanted total honesty, for Matty to tell him exactly what he was feeling and why. But, on the same note, didn't give that back to Matty. In fact, there were times that he was pissed at what Matty was feeling and I just didn't get it.
Matty was wonderful and totally made this story. He was an open book, even when he wasn't. He was fun, yet serious. Knew what he wanted in a relationship … worked through a heart-break and is now coming out on the other end as a happy, well-adjusted, loving and loved man. Living both of his dreams made him a happy man and having Razor has made him a complete man.

The RTMC has been one of my favorite paranormal/MC series. It always has a little bit of drama and ends with a lot of love. Happy endings for all involved. But, Ms. Blevins brought this up another notch writing a Daddy Dom and bringing in the LGBTQ community. Combining the two was ingenious and became a very special read to me.

intense, fast paced and great inclusion of many of the characters from the biker and the paranormal world. Razor is super dominant and Matty is a little brat but keeps Razor on his toes. I hope we get a book with Micca cuz she was awesome!

Wow

Mixing paranormal and kink may be hard for some people, but Candace Blevins makes it look so easy.

Razor and Matty's story is sweet, and hot, and sexy, and filthy AF. It was awesome to read. You don't often see gay men in motorcycle club books, so it was a nice thing to see.

I love Candace Blevins and her worlds.

Razor is a kinky, hard core, down and dirty biker and leather Daddy. He is new to the Chattanooga chapter of the RTMC and so hasn’t come out to them yet although he did tell Duke and Brain. Meeting Matty changes his timetable for coming out to the club which actually goes pretty well except for Dozer.
This story takes us once again behind the scenes of the paranormal Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club. It is a world unto itself with its own rules and regulations. Matty throws the system off kilter. Dozer proves that homophobia isn’t just a human affliction. And the Ol’ Ladies rule!
I fell for Matty along with Razor. He was real, sweet and as special as you could want a partner to be.
This story is sweet, sexy, harsh and cruel and will still leave you with a smile on your face.

And another 'can't stop once started' read, just what I was hoping for!!! Seriously, this book had me drawn in and invested in the characters from the moment their eyes met across the room when Matty walked in the bar and Razor noticed him

I loved Razor, I loved that he wasn't all sunshine and optimistic about being a gay man in an MC club. He knew people needed to accept and know him, as him, before he shared his sexuality. He knew that bringing his boyfriend into the mix wasn't the same as bringing in a woman. The club didn't know what to do about that either. He knows there is going to be prejudice, even when it is least expected, and to always be on alert. He also knows what he wants, what he needs, and who he is looking for, and Matty fits that so perfectly for him, that is the perfect part.

The fact that Razor is a leather daddy, kinky, sadist looking to line up his needs with a kinky, boy, masochist, just makes the story that much more delicious. The scenes where we get to have Matty and Razor visit with Abbott and Spence, or Bud and Nikki, those are crazy-hot good. The BDSM in this book, the scenes, well, they are the things of legends for their perfection. Razor really is the best daddy ever to his boy, and we get to see it all develop and happen

The best thing about the story is that it develops the characters, it develops the realtionship, and nothing is skimmed over or trivialized. It takes time to build a relationship, it takes time to make new friends, and it takes time to become yourself in new circumstances. Razor and Matty are attracted to each other instantly, and immediately want a relationship, but the time is taken to develop that, and deal with the fears and concerns from them both

I loved Razor and Matty because of who they were, and the who of them, makes a great tale to be told!

My fingers always go right to the fifth star in this series, and indeed in the entirety of the Kirsten O’Shea Universe, because the wealth of character alone is off the charts. But the key thing that always, always impresses me is that even when situations may meet my own limits, the up-front, honest and open way they evolve makes me comfortable it works for these characters because these characters are invested.

Be aware, this story is intense both in the relationship dynamic and the MC lifestyle. But it’s so authentic in its feel that the reader can’t help but be completely caught up in the events and in rooting for Razor and Matty, and indeed all the amazing support cast.

I absolutely love Matty. I think he’s one of my favourite characters in the series because he feels like a friend, he is so well written. He is stronger than even he knows and he completely invests in Razor as the man who fills all the spaces in his life. He is one of the deepest characters, in some very surprising ways.

Razor has far more humanity (in the sense of his own depth, not his species) than I initially expected of him. He did have to grow on me; he wasn’t insta-fave by any means, but he just kept building on me the way he did on Matty and on his MC brothers. They are perfect for each other, and I think lend a bigger element to the Club as well.

This is pretty much a relationship story though there are elements of the greater supernatural goings-on in the Chattanooga area. What it excels at is the completely organic way in which it evolves in both human and supernatural terms. It’s such a wonderful blending of worlds that a reader can be forgiven for forgetting it’s fiction.

Isn’t it?...

What a wonderful way Ms Blevins uses to introduce the characters, some of whom we have met previously but it's how she did it that I admire. No list of names and functions here - instead there is almost a short biography on the people how they met in a more or less continuation of the books.
This is a storyline of not just an M/m erotic relationship although it has plenty of that. Matty is lucky enough to meet Razor when he is attacked and hurt by a couple of rednecks and as he is a medic Razor is the one to check him out and Matty sees the kind of man he is looking for.
Matty is truly a sweet twink with a masochistic side so strong his lifetime friend Micca has to be included in the first negotiations to protect him from himself. He's looking for a Daddy and hopes it's going to be Razor. And Razor wants him too but finds he likes him as well and the sadist in him is delighted. Add in lots of hot BDSM play both in clubs and home and mix it up with another couple of sadists with great imagination and wow extra hot and heavy!
With the background of the RTMC there are bound to be some complications and sometimes they get a little intense and we expect that from this author. Politics become involved and amends must be made and we get a look as a brutal and vicious although well deserved punishment is meted out.
During the year long story we get to see the closeness develop into a deep and abiding love with admiration for each other.
This is really a romance with all of the quirky kink and more that we are used to from Ms Blevins.
I received an ARC of this book.

I love MC books but I'm not always a fan of supernatural characters. I almost skipped this, especially since it's part of a very intertwined universe that looks like it covers over 20 interconnected books. Turns out this can be read as a stand alone but you may find yourself intrigued by the other couples enough to go look for their books, too.

But, M/M, MC, BDSM.. kinda had to do it. And, I was very engrossed and glad I jumped into this world. I liked Razor and I liked Matty. I liked how they meshed and communicated. I liked that they had unrelated careers and lives but still made it work. The bdsm was very kinky but wasn't really very titillating. As a voyeur it seemed more about endurance than connection sometimes. The book also skipped and time hopped a lot. This book spans over a 1.5 years and I suspect we overlap with some of the stories in other books but I can't be positive of that.

I found I liked many of the other prior characters. I'm sure their stories would be just as well written if I was going to invest that much time into the whole world. I don't think I have the patience for that but I did go get the book for Abbott and Spencer. I'm interested to learn more about Abbott and I'm tempted to go find out about Duke and Gen as well

Were back in Chattanooga!
You'd expect a hard a**ed shifter dominating a sweet boy without much fuss, when it comes to a member of the RTMC.
What you get instead, is a hard a**ed biker with a heart as big as his balls, going all out to get and keep his boy once he found him. Through all kinds of smoldering hot SM scenes, altercations with rednecks and brothers, Razor's boy earns the respect of his Daddy, the rest of the brothers and the supernatural community, and best of all, his place among the ol' ladies.
This story is surprising in it's telling about the deep love between Razor and Matty, both strong in their convictions but able to lovingly accommodate each others wants and needs.
All in all a sizzling hot story as always, and a reunion with loads of old friends and acquaintances from all the different parts of the Blevins Universe.

If you have been following my reviews you'll know that not only am I a big fan of Candace Blevins but that I am a HUGE fan of her Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club series and let me tell you, RAZOR is my new favorite biker! Yes, yes I know I've said this before about some of the other members of the RTMC but really Razor had me hook, line, and sinker. He is not only yummy to look at but the way he is with Matty really grabbed me.

Review:
This is an excellent example of mm MC romance. The fact the series has poly and menage couples makes it a standout series. This is my first book by this author but I can’t wait to read more. Not all the books in this world are mm in some form or another but are more like the real world with a bit of everything. The BDSM scenes could be a bit much for some since they are practicing RASK. More than that though the progress and relationship between the daddy and his boy is a pleasure to see. I enjoyed every minute even when my emotions were telling me I hated what was happening.
I would gladly recommend this book to all adult readers. Those who are easily triggered may have to skip some but the rest of the story is well worth it. This is book 11 in this series and the first with a straight mm love story. There is at least one more series in this world. The paranormal parts are less visible in this book than most. Enjoy!

Ok...Admittedly, I have not read the others. Yes, its probably wrong to start a series at the end. But the series as a whole does mean I like this book.

I like the BDSM lifestyle so the Daddy/boy dynamic doesn't put me off but this book did.

There's a part where Matty is complaining about Razor fucking a woman in the club house but not him...The writing portrayed it as Matty isnt into women at all, he shudders in disgust. Two paragraphs down Razor is telling Matty to fuck a woman's mouth while he takes her ass, then come on her...According to Razor keeps repeating the Matty is a walking gay sterotype. So why tell him to have sex witha woman?

Plus the sharing didnt do anything for me. Its hot but there isn't any feelings behind it

Okay. Bleh. Bleck.

This slipped into dark erotica and yuck motorcycle gang woman abuse and ewww.

Someone will love it.

Blevins can do that sometimes and hold the line to where my stomach doesn't turn because it makes sense in the world but as this one stayed more in the human world than in the paranormal world when certain things happen (although all on the surface consensual but then when gender power dynamics come into play it doesn't feel that way).

The heroes interactions with each other I could take as making sense but when the outside stuff came in I was out.

So. Nope.

I read BDSM but this was a little extreme for me -and I don't like sharing couples, sorry. It wasn't bad but it's not my cup of tea. And I would have liked more plot for this at least, nothing really important happened apart from their relationship.

Wow. I really enjoyed this story on many levels and for many reasons, which I won’t overwhelm you with here but suffice to say…yea…wow.

Likes/loves/swoons: the insta-attraction. In this story, it worked quite well and set the pace for the story. I love, love, love all the little details in the story that would come out in a typical relationship (how he washes his hair, what he likes to eat, wear, etc.) that often tend to get overlooked in fiction in favor of other plot details, but Ms. Blevins manages to fit them seamlessly in to where you feel as though you’re witness to the growth of a relationship and not simply reading a story. I love how well the characters from the series work their way in/out of the story. I might have swooned a bit over the budding relationship (and then full blown) between Razor and Matty; particularly with all the agonizing internal thoughts as they worked through how best to communicate with each other and share their needs/aggravations. And their sex scenes will make you downright uncomfortable in all the right ways.

Dislikes: Need more.

If you’re on the fence trying to decide if you want to invest your time reading this series, that’s fine. The tops of fences can be a bit on the pokey side, so if you like that sort of thing, go right ahead. However, if you love stories that give you the right amount of details that you never knew you were missing in fiction, you enjoy both M/C and paranormal stories, and you want your stories about the relationship, then best start ordering the books now, because they are all like that. All. Of. Them.

To be honest, I don’t usually read M/m romances, not because I object to them but because I am more or less indifferent to reading about guys having sex. I have never been indifferent to anything that Candace Blevins has written, so of course when I got an opportunity to read Razor I grabbed it! It is a funny combination of fairly hard core S&M and a very sweet love story. Candace comes through again! While this is definitely a love story, the issues of confronting homophobia, of trust, and of loyalty all play an important part. Matty has to learn to trust not only his lover, but also the extended family that makes up the RTMC. The entire RTMC has to grapple with the intense homophobia of one of the “brothers” which creates some significantly uncomfortable situations. And, of course, in every RTMC book we get more and more insights into this (for me, very foreign) culture. About what I said about being indifferent to two guys having sex? Two guys making love is really different. Beautiful!

Razor’s story. Rolling Thunder Motorcycle club book 11.
Candace Blevins books are a must read and this book is no exception. Paranormal M/M at its best.

Razor meets his soulmate Matty, their romance has drama and angs; we see more of favourite characters - Duke, Brain, Gen, Bethany, Harmony and Angelica to mention a few. Club politics at the RTMC are challenged and put to the test... another tantalising glimpse into the Chattanooga supernatural world.

The characters are beautifully crafted, well developed characters, complete with flaws. Candace is a master of her craft.

This book was a little longer than I expected, but I was glad for it!

The raw honesty of the MC’s is truly awesome!

I feel educated about the Daddy/boy relationship and will need a while to process all that happened.
I guess before it just seemed odd to me to call someone ‘Daddy’ if you’re in a relationship. Strange that I didn’t have that issue with ‘Dom’.

It really feels like I was there and saw and felt what Matty did.
Even if it isn’t anything I would feel comfortable with in real life.

Love the supernatural stuff!

This has a really good storyline in back of the introduction of Razor and Matty's love story. I liked the tension, and the ultimate conclusion of the conflict. Including multiple characters from the other books was great. M/M BDSM is prevalent throughout the novel.

Candace Blevins is one of my absolute favorite authors. Razor is another fantastic book in her RTMC series. I loved it!

This title can be read as a stand-alone, that's what the blurb said. I don’t understand why it was mentioned this book can be read as a stand alone?? I seriously think that you’ll miss an awful lot if this is your first Candace Blevins book… just saying! Plus, all Candice Blevin's characters are somehow connected.
In the beginning of this book there was a short clarification: 'Razor’s story is the eleventh book in the RTMC series, and the twenty-sixth book in the Kirsten O’Shea universe. It can be read as a stand-alone, but there are a lot of characters we’ve met in other books, so I’d like to take this opportunity to go over where we’ve met them.' which was helpful (even for me, who read most of the earlier/previous books, due to a crappy memory, lol).

Anyway…. this wasn't a bad story.... it just wasn't for me (anymore). I don't know… I have a feeling I'm 'done' with BDSM and Dom's and happy submissives?
I absolutely loved previous books of Candace Blevins... I'm actually a huge fan! However... ‘her magic’ doesn't work for me anymore! For me it was boring!
Razor was a raven shifter and a gay Dominant and Matty was a twink, desperately in need of a 'Daddy'. I love gay bikers, I love the Rolling Thunder MC, I loved the characters… but I didn’t love this book. And I know, that's me and not the book!
Oh... although the guy on the cover is hawt and yummy, he is *not* Razor!! Razor had 'raven black hair in a ponytail'.
{Heb al langer het gevoel dat ik BDSM, Dom/sub (m/m in het bijzonder), pain, canes & chains een beetje zat ben! Ben erop uitgekeken!}

If you are not ready for a SUPER kinky M/M romance I would suggest skipping this one (though you might regret it). I thought the story was super sweet and really enjoyed it even though I was not always into the sexy bits.

Razor is a raven and falls head over heels for Matty. I love that this story brings us a whole new type of relationship and another supernatural in the RTMC. I felt like the reactions of everyone in the story was very realistic. His relationship is mostly accepted by the MC but it's not 100% smooth sailing. Some went above and beyond to make they feel accepted which while appreciated did not always work out the way they did. Their love story was adorable! Each of their backstories was well fleshed out and really added to their relationship. I was rooting for them the entire time.

The only place where the book fell short for me was the sex. It's not that it was poorly done, Candace did an amazing job as always, some of the scenes were just not what I am into. If leather daddies and extreme kink are your things you might love it! That being said I feel like as they settled into their relationship more it calmed down.

A LOT also happens in the book that I am pretty sure will be hugely important going forth in the series. So if you love the Kirsten O'Shea universe I highly recommend reading Razor!

Razor and Matty not your typical RTMC couple; a daddy and his boy. Their relationship means breaking new ground within the club and not all the members are on board. Almost from day one Razor and Matty know they have something special but they, like most couples, must wade the murky waters of a new relationship. Razor gives Matty the much needed structure and boundaries he needs and craves. Matty is accepted into the ol'ladies group and when dangerous situation arises, Matty steps up and firmly cements his status in the club.

These two characters are winners! Theirs is not hearts and flowers type of love but it is intensely personal. Their dynamic is sado-masochistic but it's one of trust and consent freely given. As usual Canace Blevins nails it with rich, comlex character and storylines. Stepping into her supernatural world is always a fabulous reading adventure!
