You’re the chosen one… Or, so everyone says. Do you believe them?
After the events and revelations on the Atoll, Amanda is left Reeling. Now she must deal with the new information about her past and the new powers she has gained. Mr Black has gone missing, someone is spreading rumors about her being some sort of Chosen One, and all Amanda wants to do is to live her life the way she wants.
As these rumors spread, she becomes the focus of attention for Magi throughout America and the world. Some just want to meet her, but others want to hurt her. Not least of these is Nymira, who is out for her blood and the Magi Legion who want to ruin her life and utterly discredit her.
With all this attention, and her new found abilities, such as being able to cross into the Abyss, she starts to believe the hype, which only serves to alienate those closest to her. Amanda must step up and fight against those who wish to hurt her and overcome her own hubris before she loses her friends, her supporters, and maybe her life. This is the fourth thrilling book of The Magi Saga written by Andrew Dobell.
again the author has SO many characters. I waffle between liking and not like the challenge of keeping track of everyone. The underlying story is, however, engaging. I will keep reading this series.
Wow, Amanda sure got into quite a few situations in this book! Still not entirely sure what Yasmin is up to yet, but we saw a little more if it. With the way the book ended, I am really excited to read book 5!
Note: the end scene is more a transition to the next 'chapter' of Amanda's life rather than a cliff hanger. The main story in the book was complete.
Summary: I'm not a great fan of urban fantasy, but I quite enjoyed this little romp. It doesn't take itself too seriously and their is obviously a bigger story unraveling, but this is a sort of coming of age start of a series
Plotline: Not too sophisticated, but moves forward nicely
When you enjoy a book series in the characters within your excited to hit the next one when they end on a pretty strong cliffhanger even more so The book was fun with a lot of deceived and intrigue. Glad I started a book one. Pretty stoked to get through these. They have been a very fun read and I have enjoyed the way this series has approached magic, the ancient beans, etc
Another good read. Great characters and good story. A few surprises along the way and the end is a bit of a cliffhanger. Unfortunately it looks like we have to wait until May for the next installment.
Amanda is letting being the Chosen One go to her head. Liz and a few others notice this and do not like it. She finds out part of what Yasmin is up to. Read to find out all that goes on!!
Definitely another fun read with a great assortment of characters. Though I am curious when the future and current timeline will meet up. Even so, looking forward to reading book 5.
This was another interesting adventure with Amanda and here team, although it seems like Amanda was due for a week bit of a wake ⏰. Things look like they are about to get interesting.
I finished War Magi and wanted to know more of Amanda's history. This set of books are filling in a lot of the history of Amanda and her friends. I have already ordered the next three books and am waiting for their delivery. This is a fun series to read.
Amanda is on quite the journey, learning about herself and maturing as well as learning more about her powers. We see hints and teasing glimpses of the past and future, and I’m eager to read more to see how things pan out for Amanda.
Really enjoying the story as everything piles onto Amanda and events start to come into another deeper plan that Amanda finds herself within. Plenty of action and twists to keep me turning pGes makes a 5 star read
This was a rather substandard book unfortunately. I really like the overall story arc but the implementation is unfortunately littered with unnecessary wet dreams and woke rubbish. Also, stop beating the dead nazi horse. Use some real and present enemies like the communists or other real life enemies of today.
This was another exciting action packed journey in the life of a magi, each book just takes you deeper into this realm, would highly recommend this series to all
