From birth, I was conditioned to be the biggest, strongest lycan in the pack.

My father would have it no other way. Because, according to him, the Alpha wouldn’t let anyone weaker mate the princess.

But he is wrong.

The Alpha is letting his daughter chose her own mate, out of love.

I have competition. The vampire prince, who has always been the bane of my existence, and the princess’s sentry, the one who already holds her heart.

They make it clear they aren’t backing down. Then the rule-breaking vampire suggests we share her. If we truly loved her like we say, why make her chose just one mate?

Was that what Jillian wanted? Was it what I wanted?

One thing is for sure. I’m not walking away from her.

The next installment of this series is just as good as the first I'm loving the whole tv show or movie vibe I'm getting from this series. With the books being split up like this it's easy to fall in love with this series. I love that book 2 is Voss I was wondering how he felt about the whole thing given that he was brought up to mate the princess. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Lainie Anderson's "Voss: A Collective World Story," the second book in the Coven's End series, is a captivating addition that delves into the intense and competitive world of Lycan politics and romance. This installment focuses on Voss, the formidable and fiercely loyal Lycan, whose journey is as emotionally complex as it is thrilling.

Voss is the epitome of strength and power within his pack, groomed by his father to become the High Alpha by mating with the Lycan Princess. However, the dynamics shift dramatically when the current High Alpha allows his daughter the freedom to choose her own mate, prioritizing love over political alliances. This decision throws Voss into a fierce competition with two formidable rivals: a cocky Vampire prince and the Princess's loyal sentry and best friend.

Anderson skillfully portrays Voss's internal and external battles as he vies for the Princess's heart. The intense rivalry between Voss, the Vampire prince, and the sentry adds layers of tension and drama to the narrative. Each contender holds a piece of the Princess's heart, creating a compelling and intricate love triangle (or rather, love square) that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

The character of Voss is meticulously crafted, showcasing not only his physical prowess but also his emotional depth and vulnerability. His struggle to balance his love for the Princess with the competitive instincts instilled in him by his father is both poignant and relatable. Voss's journey is one of self-discovery and acceptance, as he learns to navigate his feelings and the evolving dynamics within the pack.

The suggestion by the Vampire prince to share the Princess is a bold and unexpected twist that challenges traditional notions of love and possession. Anderson explores this unconventional arrangement with sensitivity and nuance, highlighting the complexities of love, loyalty, and partnership. The idea of sharing the Princess forces Voss to confront his own insecurities and preconceived notions about relationships, adding another layer of depth to his character arc.

The Princess herself is a strong and central figure in the story, her ability to inspire such fierce devotion from three powerful beings speaks to her strength and charisma. Anderson ensures that she is not merely a prize to be won, but an active participant in the unfolding drama, making choices and asserting her agency throughout the narrative.

The book is well-paced, balancing action-packed scenes with moments of introspection and emotional development. Anderson's writing is engaging and evocative, drawing readers into the richly detailed world she has created. The intricate politics of the Lycan and Vampire societies, combined with the personal stakes for each character, make for a compelling and immersive reading experience.

"Voss: A Collective World Story" is a must-read for fans of paranormal romance and fantasy. It offers a blend of intense competition, emotional depth, and steamy romance, all set against the backdrop of a vividly imagined supernatural world. Anderson's ability to weave together these elements into a cohesive and enthralling narrative is a testament to her skill as a storyteller.

In conclusion, Lainie Anderson delivers another hit with "Voss," a book that not only expands the Coven's End series but also deepens the emotional and relational complexities of its characters. This installment is sure to captivate readers and leave them eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this gripping saga. Highly recommended for those who love powerful, character-driven stories with a supernatural twist.

This is book two of the Coven’s End series and the main character is this short story is Voss Jenson, who was raised by a brutal and abusive father, after his mother managed to leave. He is a really strong lycan, made to train extra-long by his own father in secret, being punished every time he didn’t meet his father’s high standards. He is one of the two guards to the lycan princess, Jillian, who will become High Alpha once her own father steps down, and his father has pushed him and expects him to mate with her, to become High Alpha. His father was badly injured in a vampire attack and was left unable to challenge for the High Alpha position as he would have liked. Voss has competition however as Jillian has already mated with the vampire prince Kane, and is also best friends with his other competition, Quin, her first sentry and guard. Quin has been Jillian’s protector since hours after her birth. Now Voss earns that he must share Jillian with two others, one of whom he was raised to think of as his enemy. All of them have a piece of her heart and while Jillian had never seemed to feel a mating pull towards either Voss or Quin, once she finds Kane, she reveals she feels the pull to them as well!

Kane realises she is his fated mate and that she feels the same way about the two lycans, so he has to accept it. If Kane can, then Voss and Qui will have to learn how to share her as well. Jillian has to let her father know and being the High Alpha, he knows of stories from old, of multiple fated mates, even if it hasn’t happened in centuries, so accepts them all, Kane with a little bit of a pause. Voss is pushed further by his estranged father Emerson, to mate with Jillian, even having him charge into his room just after he had been with Jillian! An engagement party will be arranged by her father, but won’t be quite the celebratory event they expect it to be, as Trinity breaks the treaty between the vampires and lycans. Another attack kills a vampire family who lived in what should have been a secure location. It proves the vampires have a traitor and Jillian’s special ability will soon reveal exactly who it is! But Voss has to watch the effect this ability has on Jillian, with such a fresh attack giving her more graphic images to view. At least now, Voss is one of the ones who can comfort her now, not just be her guard. He will do anything to protect her and love her, even if he is not alone in that love.

I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Voss has been raised to be the best possible Lycan. The biggest, strongest, fastest. His father had one goal in mind; for Voss to accomplish what he had been unable to, to be the High Alpha. He has been raised to either wed the future High Alpha Jillian or to challenge her father. Now Voss finds himself one of Jillian's three true mates along with a vampire prince and his fellow sentry who is also her best friend. He's in love with Jillian and wants her happy. His father never planned for this.

Fast-paced, entertaining, sexy. This book continues the story of Jillian, her men, and the attacks on the coven and pack. The focus this time around is Voss. Voss really came alive for me in this book. His vulnerability and insecurity were on full display along with his sexy perfection. In many ways, he's perfect to be named Jillian's mate but his father brings a complication to his life and a possible threat to Jillian. Quin seems almost too good to be true and Kane has been perfect so far. Voss is the wild card but he seems solid.

The attack storyline is wonderful. Jillian's abilities make it so much more intense. The revelation was not a surprise but the motive and goal are still unclear. The event previous to the attack was a surprise and raised emotions even more. I look forward to certain parties being destroyed. Can't wait for Quin.

Voss’ father had raised him from the beginning to be the very best Lycan possible – the biggest, strongest, fastest, the best of everything. He trained continuously, his wolf always near the surface. The expected outcome of this constant pressure was for Voss to become the High Alpha one day by taking Princess Jillian as his mate. But the current High Alpha is allowing Jillian to choose her own mate for love. And apparently she has her eye on more than one possibility! Not only is Voss a possible choice, but she also is looking at a vampire prince and a fellow sentry she has had as a best friend forever. Being true mates, the Fates apparently have a plan for the four of them. But neither Lycan seems comfortable at the idea of sharing her with a Vampire! Jillian was still figuring out how she was going to mention him to her father!

This second book in the series is a fast-paced story focusing on Princess Jillian, her three possible choices for a mate, and the mystery of who is responsible for the attacks made on the Vampire coven and the Lycan pack. There is a traitor or multiple traitors somewhere who must be found. Can Jillian and her men work together to find the culprit(s) responsible?

Coven's End: Voss continues the story of Jillian and her three mates. In this installment, you of course have the main focus on Voss. He really makes you fall for him in this one. We get to see why he is so perfect for Jillian and a member of her mates. You may have doubts but he will make you fall for him.

Voss has been raised to be the best that he can be. He just so happens to be a Lycan. He has made himself what is needed to be the future high alpha. But then Jillian happened. He falls in love with her but with enemies all around, and a feisty mate, he does have his hands full.

Guys this series is just so good. And I am really enjoying how each character gets a book focused on them. Helps you to grow closer to the characters, and love them. I would recommend reading this series in order.

Voss. The Lycan who has been treated hard and brutal to become an Alpha. An Alpha doesn’t share. However get in with the program or leave. A love triangle. A Harsh reality. Will Voss be able to resist the pull of His mate Julian, problem is she has two other mates. One being Kane a vampire prince and a natural enemy of the Lycans. Lia Davis once again dips into the mind and desires of a love triangle. This is a storyline full of betrayal, jealousy and pride, as we get to know the inner thoughts of his mind. If this wasn’t hard enough, the brutal attacks continue. Nobody will get peace until the culprits are caught. This is the second book in this series of Covens End and one you will want to continue. Only thing I was disappointed in was that the book wasn’t long enough.

I'm really enjoying this serial featuring a lycan princess who is mated to two lycans and the vampire high prince (currently deposed by a crazy female). This book mostly features Voss, his history with his vicious dad, and how he became one of Jillian's guards...and her mate.
The political situation and danger from the human military group is continuing to ramp up. I'm on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what happens next.
Read in KU.

*Please note: this is a 4-part serial with each book ending with a cliff-hanger/unresolved storyline and picked up in the next book until the final one. This is book 2 of 4.*

Voss is Jillian’s sentry and the strongest and most dangerous lycan. His story is suspenseful and build up is so captivating. The fight scenes were fantastic and really well written.

Now that Jillian has discovered her mates, which just happen to be two alphas and a vampire, she needs to tell the most important person. Her father. Will he accept this? Or will he kick her out of the pack?

I highly recommend reading Voss, and can wait to read the next book book - Quin

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
It was a great book !
Voss has been raised to be only one thing: The High Alpha.
However, plans change.
Being in love with Jillian complicates the plan.
Now, he has a choice.
What will he choose ?
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Overall rating: 4.6

This author does a great job continuing this unique storyline. Jillian invests some time learning more about Voss, but there is much left to uncover. Glad there was evidence on uneasiness with one of the fated mates. A smooth sailing would have made this too bland. Never one to disappoint a reader, this author made sure the heat scale between Jillian and Voss was volcanic! Looking forward to Quin’s story. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

*** No Spoilers ***

A great second book in this series. L.A. Boruff and Lia did an amazing job continuing to storyline. It's getting more exciting. Voss is like a huge teddy bear ... Soft and sweet but big and nasty when needed. The relationship between Voss, Kane, Quin, and Jillian is growing. The crap going on with the vamps and lycans takes a crazy turn.
I highly recommend this book/series!

Once again, watch out for the cliff-hanger ending, because even though I knew it was coming, where it stops is a bit of a shock. As hard as it is for our heroine and heroes to face, it looks like my hunch was right about the identity of the villain. But now that that’s out of the way, I’m more desperate than ever to discover what’s going to happen next.

This one was short and sweet with another one we get to intimately know better. Voss gets his spotlight with things going better when revealed than expected. On the downside I would say is his father and really big one is the big traitor that is revealed in here. Everything is quick with you soon at the end of this one chomping for the next one.

I really enjoyed this episode. The plot thickens, characters are further developped and motives blur. Well constructed and written, this one is fast paced and full of twists and turns. I am hooked on this series and it's multiple POV's.

Not for me

Extremely quick moving which makes it lack details needed to be suspenseful. If you’re in for a quick story with a couple of quickies then maybe you’ll like it. I prefer to read a story that leads up to passion. This isn’t that at all.

Ok

I had higher hopes for this series, but it really comes down to the fact that each book is just so short. It’s a good plot, but lacks the details to really hit it out of the park.

There's more going on here than expected

Well, this is just getting more interesting now that the coven and pack are trying to work together.
It's just a pity it's still taking them so long to believe the fated mates.
They know what they're doing.

So I got hooked on this series during book one so I was happy when I got book two. This time we get to learn more about Voss and what makes him tick. At the same time there is this giant game of politics going on as well as the secret vampire mate. Things are getting interesting time as the pressure heats up and the secrets accumulate. Perfect for fans of paranormal, vampire, shifter, reverse harem novels. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
