In this explosive conclusion to the Indian Hill series we find Mike, Tracy, Drababan, BT and the entire crew of the now destroyed USS Guardian hurtling through space, head on into their destiny. But will it be the one they seek or the destruction of all they know and have ever known.
The final in the INDIAN HILLS series is finally here and neither I nor any true Tufo fan be will disappointed. Truly this is perhaps the best of the series as Tufo takes back into Mike's every dangerous life as he is once again in the thick of it as this time he has not only managed to semi take over another Prog ship he unfortunately triggered a failsafe that has sent the hurtling through space toward the Progerian world. They do not have full control of the ship but that will not stop Talbot from being a thorn in the side of those Progs sill alive. The battles are hard, winning is measured in lives on both sides not feet. The losses are staggering but they must press on to somehow find a way to win or loose everything, the later is a certainty; if they reach their destination and cannot secure the ship they will stand no chance of survival. Ir will require everything Talbot has to get them out of the bind they now find themselves in and even that might not be enough. To make matters even worse, the Stryvers are on their heels and Beth is with them, prodding and poking every chance she gets. But Talbot is not only fighting to stay alive but to find a way to get back to his world, home and the family he left behind. But the Progs and Mutes are just as determined to keep him from achieving the impossible. To make things that much more interesting new players are found on the ship and Talbot must decide whether they are friends or foe. And (slight spoiler) a new genius has suddenly sprung from seemingly nowhere to tell them he might be able to do the impossible if they can get control of the ship. But can they do it in "time"? Easily the best in the series and hopefully, knowing Tufo, an end is not always what it seems.
Absolutely thrilling conclusion to the series, the wait was worth it. Battles, bloodshed, death and injury (as is usual in Mike's world) with the backdrop of space. I liked the uncertainty of whether they would ever get home. I would have given 5 stars but there were a lot of conversations with speech marks missing or in the wrong place (too many to ignore). It interrupted the flow of the story so 4.5 stars.
One of the best Tufo books yet, flat out. This is why Mark is my favorite author.
As a long-time fan of the Zombie Fallout series, I remember when I started the Indian Hill series and thought, "holy shit! More Mike Talbot, fuck yeah!" I was off and running from there, listening to and reading everything he wrote. I've always kind of like alien and space stories, but most were just too fantasy-ish for my taste. Tufo managed to nail it with just the right amount of techie-sci-fi-ness, action and humor. I never get enough of constantly breaking out in laughter while listening in the car (naturally, looking like a crazy person in traffic). I love how he managed to tie in all the classic characters from the Talbot universe into the different series', including stringing most of them together into one timeline.
If he does in fact leave this as the end of Indian Hill, it will have been a great end. Having said that, why the hell wouldn't I want more? It's actually got a pretty interesting premise going for a next one, not to mention a bunch of arachnid alien assholes left to kill. And of course, now there's two Mikes...... (cue big evil grin)
This series did not disappoint and I am even more in love with the Mike Talbot universe.
I started reading Mark Tufo because of his Zombie Fallout series and then came across Indian Hills. Already being an immense fan of Mike Talbot and the gang, this series only added to that love. This series is a great installment to the Talbotverse and I loved seeing the characters you loved from Zombie Fallout shining in this series too. If you know Mike he is going to be one sarcastic, take action think it out later but still shine hero and you see it in this series. There is a lot of emotional moments in this series for Mike and Mark Tufo does an amazing job telling this story with plenty of action, craziness, emotions, and humor. I'm so glad I read this series too and hopefully it is not the end. Who doesn't want more of Mike, Tracy, BT, D, and maybe even another cameo from Tripp. If you made it here from the rest of the series it's a no brainer, read it and enjoy!
Make sure your 5 point harness is in good repair and cinched up tight! Indian Hill 7 is an absolute joy to read and the ending ... OMG! Is the Indian Hill series done? I hope not. I can't see Micael Talbot sitting by while... but that would be telling.
If you haven't read the series please treat yourself. If you prefer listening then Sean, (the voice of all of Mark's books) is unparalleled in his narration. I've read all of Mr. Tufo's books and enjoyed them immensely. He's in my top 5 of favorite authors and if you knew me and the myriad of books I devour (yes, thousands) you would realize how high of praise that position is. For zombies, lycans, vampires, demons and aliens you can't go wrong with a Mark Tufo book.
The author has very cleverly found a way to incorporate a story that has enough battleship action, humour, suspense and even death of key characters and sadness to keep you interested and then simultaneously provide a super happy ending that is not necessarily predictable but interesting and fair.
Caught in the buckle, they are on their way to the alien home-world when they manage to go back in time and make a successful early attack on the alien planet. They take on the alien defences and put them under plenty of pressure so they end up being the ones needing the mercy. Beth shows up and finally gets a taste of her own medicine.
Some key people die, But it all comes good with the whole going back in time idea

Mark Tufo is an awesome writer. This story was a wonderful way to wrap up a great series. I will admit it took me at least a couple of books to get into this reality for Michael Talbot, but I am so glad that I stuck with it. I didn't know what to think when I realized it was the same main character (I tend to skip book descriptions when I find an author I really like as I enjoy being surprised by the story) but I really came to appreciate seeing the same character in an alternative reality. It is a unique concept, and I am glad he chose this route instead of creating different characters for the 2 series, the other being Zombie Fallout. I am looking forward to diving into his Lycan series. Keep up the great work MT.
Mark said this was the last one in the series...but you cant trust that..he has a way of leaving it open...just in case! Mike and the crew went on a wild ride in this one...We had some loss of friends and some finding of new friends...and a twist that will make you say wow! Yes they saved the world...and made it home! I laughed, I cried..and I loved it....This is a spectacular series and I highly recommend it!!! I can honestly recommend anything Mark Tufo writes!!! Just add it to your cart now..thank me later!!!
If this is truly the end, I'm sad to see it come. This has been one of my favorites from the beginning. I hope to see more of the characters that I love in this series. Yes I know I can get more of these characters in his other works, but honestly they pale in comparison to these. I went from this series to his other works, I've since dropped those stories, but this series is like coming home. Thank you Mark Tufo for allowing me to tag along on Mike's journey. P.S. I think I was one of the first to buy book one. I never regretted it!
A fantastic ending to probably the best military sci-fi series I've ever read (I've read a lot). Mark Tufo has a fantastic way of getting you attached to the characters in his book. I laughed a lot, cried, smiled a brimmed with pride when the story concluded having read what I can hands down say is an essential read for anyone. Even if you don't like sci-fi, you'll still enjoy Mark's special talent at sucking you into his stories.
Mark, I really hope this is not the end of this series and you'll entertain us with more.
Once you read one of Marks book, you will have an insatiable thirst to read more. This one is just another example of a wonderfully imaginative mind, with a unique writing skill that really takes you into the mind of each & every character! It’s been a pleasure reading these books...now off to search in hope of another Mark Tufo series to enjoy some more characters & adventures. Thank you Mark
This whole series is a 4/5 — not groundbreaking, but nearly as good as it gets. I’m giving this one a 5/5, though, not because it’s better that the others — they’re all tied for incredibly well-written and funny adventures — but because the Tufo multiverse is just so insanely interconnected in so many subtle (and not so subtle) ways. I absolutely love this origin story and how it ties every other Tufo book that I’ve read together. Well done, Mark Tufo, well done.
I don't really read war books even if it's science fiction or not. But since I like Marks other books I took a chance. And I loved them. As all ways he had me laughing, crying a few tears and holding my breath a few times. I'm hoping that down the road he might write another one.
Another great Indian Hill tale. I like the way that the author wrapped up the series (something I think he should have done with Zombie Fall out a while ago). It felt complete and left some room for him to come back to it in a few years if he wishes. The one question that I should have asked earlier was how BT is back? Didn’t he die in the first book? 😊
Awesome wrap up to an awesome series. Fitting way for Beth to go! Nice wrap up and potential opening for a bol 8. Hee says no, but bends to fan pressure fairly easily!
Start with this series, then collect all the rest. You won't be disappointed!
If you have read this series, you will love this book. If you haven't read the series, you should. I laughed. I cried. It was just such a well rounded book and supposed ending to the series. I have to say, I really hope this isn't the end!!!
One of my favorite author. He doesn't fail to deliver. I read all the zombie fallout books and lycan books. Love mike Talbot character. Finished just in time to read the latest addition to zombie fallout😀
Have you ever had series grab you and take you to another place? This series will do that and much more. Grab a chair and something to drink and let your world go to another place. Great read
Wow, what a spectacular ending to the series. I loved every single minute of it! I will miss these characters. D was my absolute favorite. Best character I have read in a long time!
I love this book, and the entire series. A roller coaster ride to different worlds, different creatures, with old & new characters. A perfect ending to a much loved series.
