Good read

Good story line, decent pace. Leaves room for expansions.
Lots of characters, and different races to keep track of. Sub plot line well thought out.

3.5 stars. This set includes all four books in the Splintered Galaxy series. These should not be read as standalone and this collection makes it easy. There is a lot of violence, it is a Alien military thriller, so it might not be suitable for more sensitive readers. This is a military thriller so much of the storyline revolves around fighting and military tactics. There also is graphic sex so 18+.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. This is a military thriller filled with humans and aliens, with multiple alien races trying to control events and power. Be prepared for some confusion over the time and location changes. Watch the section headings for location and time.. As usual, everything and everyone is not as it seems. And there is plenty of action as well as a lot of twists, turns, and surprises. I look forward to reading more with the spinoff series.

This series is a wonderful space exploration saga. It has lots of action and imaginative worlds filled with alien races. As the shire progresses the subterfuge, betrayal, politics, and action will have your head spinning at times. A great read. This is my honest, voluntary review of advanced reader copies of this set.

Just ok

The story was decent but it did get hard to follow at times. I think they completely forgot to edit the 4th book.
