The highly anticipated second book of the Divisa series! Now includes bonus Novella Breaking Emma!
Chase Winters is the bane of my existence.
But he is also the lifeline of my heart and soul. Literally.
Things are steaming up between us and between the sheets. When his lips aren’t locked with mine, they are spewing verbal crap. Half the time I don’t know whether to kiss him or slap him. Our bond is more than just being connected—we are soulbond. The closer we get, the stronger the bond takes hold, and now-a-days it seems we are inseparable.
There is a new addition to our little town, one that has all the Divisa on guard—a hunter has taken up residency. This hunter is not just another threat, not when their identity hit so close to home. Strife divides my neighbor’s household surrounding this supposed enemy. Could they be friend or foe?
Chase’s number one priority in all this as always, is to keep me safe.
Regardless of what Chase thinks, I’m not a weak and fragile human. And there is nothing I won’t do to keep Chase from harm. He might drive me up a freaking wall, but he is my pain in the ass. I am not about to sit back and let some hunter fire an arrow through his heart. Not if I can help it.
Then there is the one question that is on everyone’s mind: Will the hunter kill us or save us…

Can I say awesome sequel? "Hunting Angel" was absolutely fabulous and didn't disappoint me in the least! I loved loved loved reading more about Chase and Angel. Their hot and cold relationship is addictive and freaking entertaining as heck. Yes, I love it when it's hot, but I enjoy the cold just as much. I seriously cannot get enough of this series and I'm psyched to read the third installment, "Chasing Angel," next!
I recommend this series 100% if you don't read it you'll regret it NOW READ SAVING ANGEL!!!!!
*spoilers*
“Can you guys do the whole sexual tension thing later? I want to get the heck out of dodge before one of them decides to come back and put an arrow in my heart,” Lexi said that's all the answer you need about the sexual tension between chase and angle
He smirked. “I think I deserve a reward for rescuing you. I can think of a few ways you could repay me.” I arched a brow. “Me too. My foot up your ass sounds like a good one.” He snickered. I love how they are so rude to each other but you know that angle likes him but sometimes he pisses her off.
“He is not my boyfriend,” I declared smartly. “Yes, I am,” Chase countered, giving him a demon glare. I thought that the scene with the guy at the game shop was hallious I mean in the first book they never told us what the status quote was now you do.
“Shocking. I always thought you were a douchebag . Now I know you are.” So much for biting my tongue. I really thought that chase was cheating on her and was wondering how j.l weil was going with this was Sierra and chase gonna be a thing thank god it wasn't.
“That you’re a dick and I should run now while I still have the chance.” This time he flashed me a grin that was mouthwatering. “You can run Angel, but you can’t hide.” I love how angle always make chase all happy and he says “You can run Angel, but you can’t hide.” in the first book which makes me wonder what going to happen in the next book more.
“I love you, Angel,” he whispered against my wet cheek. Wide-eyed, his declaration of love caused the air to puncture from my lungs. omg this chapter was amazing not horrible remarks it was so amazing I wish I could be angle I need a chase so what if he's half human half demon
“Before her, you actually had balls,” Sierra taunted. I was cracking up laughing at this quote sierra is a bitch but I think she is always a funny character and I love the bit where she was talking to angle normally in the book and hope they can be friends imagine how amazing that would be.
he said, “You are not doing it. You got that. I forbid it.” this I was expecting to read when he finds out that he's cuz wants to use angle compulsion on eric (emma dad) I was so annoyed that emma nearly killed the love of her life he didn't do nothing and know she's going to do something to destroy them.
I think angle has grown a lot of guts since the beginning of the book and hope that chase and angle say together.
really can't wait to see what happens please read this book and if you want to talk about it I will be happy to. (longest review I've ever done)
This book was a vast improvement from the first book. And what I mean when I say that is that it only copied the Lux series at the beginning of the book. Afterward it seemed to go in a different direction, which I was happy about considering how disappointed I was with how the first book was some straight up plagiarism. I would give it 3.5 stars but since I can't give 1/2 stars Id rather round down than up. What I liked was Chase, of course, and I like Angel enough although sometimes her decision making was suspect. Oh yes, walk into the woods alone at night; nothing bad will happen. Because its not like bad things have happened there before...There were some twists that I didn't expect and that was refreshing considering how predictable the first book was since I had read the Lux series. Things I didn't like about the book: the whole hot and cold relationship thing between Chase and Angel. I got it and I enjoyed it at first but at some point it was too drawn out, annoying, and completely predictable. Also some of the dialogue was just super corny (I guess it is YA though). And characters were just having changes of heart with very little explanations and it didn't make a whole lot of sense (even for a book about half demons and their super human powers). Oh yeah, and the typos. Way less than the first book but still too many for my comfort. Other than that it was a decent read. Not the most memorable book but entertaining enough.
I love Chase!! And Angel is perfect to mess up his bitter, bad boy world! I enjoyed reading their stories, and I will definitely pick up the next one.....
But.... There is kind of a HUGE similarity to another series I adore, I won't say which, but come on ladies, you see it!
With that in mind, although I basically figured it all out, I still will pick up the next novel!!
More bossy demon Chase and the girl that slated his heart? Yes please!
I am not going to say an awesome sequel. This story is a bit different but it is still is a rip off to the Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout. Chase is Damen and she is Kat. Even what happened with Bobby is the exact thing. Really? The only thing that is not the same in this series is they are half-demons..... Am I the only one who feels this way?
Could of been better Can't read the next book in this I have tired 2 books so far and I can't with the third.. its needs editing and seems to copy some forms of the luxs and just not excitement no climax to it.. (to me maybe others its the greatest but not feeling it)
Angel is not like other girls, she is special. Why? Because she likes to play games. And how often do we get reminded that Angel is not like either girls because she like to game. All. The. Time.
After completing the first book, I was hesitant to begin this one. I gave it a shot. Book two wasn't bad. It still had alot of similarities to the Lux series but started to move away from similarities a little past the half way mark.
Book two you learned more about Chase and Angel's connection/bond and the tri-force that bonds them (heart, soul and body). There is a hunter trying to kill them but seem to be targeting Angel. The past returns....complicated...dangerous...hope....devistation.
The conflict still remained low. Moments had you wondering what would happen next but it just seemed short lived. I personally think it has to do with the characters emotions. I'm not getting much from them, so the situation doesn't seem as bad as it should be.
The bantering still felt like Whining. I just didn't like Angel. Though she had a sharp tongue, her personality was weak. Therefore, her comebacks were stupid..
I still wish the book had been in dual POV. I think we would have gotten a better picture of the characters emotions.
Unfortunately, I did skim over. By the end, I wasn't left wanting more... So my reading of the Divisa series ends here.
I'm so lucky that I haven't really come upon a book yet that I simply didn't love! Hunting Angel is no exception. What a great book in a great series! I couldn't put it down.
Chase Winters entertains the heck out of me! He's also mouth watering HOT! Angel was spunky and cracked me up! The real entertaining part was how these two tried to stay away from each other, and failed in an explosion of hotness!
Hunting Angel had action, a hot love/hate relationship, humor and great characters! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
4.5 stars. Audible. The main characters a pretty solid but get off task at times. Half demon Chase encounters a girl who is not scared off by his nature. She is his new neighbor and they pretty much hit it off from the get go. As she learns more about his family they grow closer. It's really more of a teen drama but there is a good deal of depth in them. I have to say there is so much build up to their first sexual encounter that I have actually begun to laugh out loud as they are interrupted many times over. Definitely more discussion there than interlude. Great high school read.
This was awesome! I loved this book! I think it is because it has the similarities to the Lux series. Chase is almost exactly like Daemon with the snarky attitude and passion and love for Angel. Angel is almost exactly like Katy with the low key demure with badass tendencies. Overall, an amazing read.
I thought the first installment of this series had some promise so I decided to see if the second could build off of that. In short, it couldn't. I listened to like a half an hour of angel obsessing over how much she liked Chase...but oh wait no she doesn't because he's a jerk. Just really dumb and I no longer care to find out what happens in this series.
This book was better than the first which I think is always impressive when a series is able to do that. The story was more interesting to me. However, I have noticed I am consistently saying ‘wait what?’ because the story doesn’t always flow smoothly. I have enjoyed Chase and Angel. Angel was kidnapped, usually that happens in book 4 so bravo. I guess Emma was protecting them the whole time but I feel like causing an accident is super reckless and not really protecting them because it is uncontrollable. Also, Emma and Travis were suddenly super chummy once Angel was out. It seemed to happen too fast and I guess they needed to be chummy so it’s more tragic that Emma hates them again. Why did Chase need to kill Eric? Emma had him under control, although, she definitely had no idea how to use it. Honestly the whole it’s suddenly battle day felt rushed. I suppose we don’t know if Angel could put any lasting ideas in his head to not hurt them. I’m excited for the next book.

When I read a book I don't like, it's common that I decide to read the next book on the serie. Usually, I want to see if the writing improved or something in that nature. It's only when I really hate it that I don't give the next book a try. That's why I decided to read Hunting Angel, but boy do I regret it.
- Chases and Angels relationship makes no sense. - Chase saying Angel is his and shit like that is annoying - There is a lot of sexist comments in this book - The bond they have is bullshit
And this book has a really bad plot. Half of the book is just Angel being mad at Chase or totally in love with him. I really don't like her. I get that she's a teenager, but Jesus Chriiiiist. I don't want to read a bitchy, whiny teenager for fun. I'm done with this series.
But he is also the lifeline of my heart and soul. Literally.
Things are steaming up between us and between the sheets. When his lips aren’t locked with mine, they are spewing verbal crap. Half the time I don’t know whether to kiss him or slap him. Emma's part in this was clearly unexpected and definitely threw me for a loop but a good one! I thought this book had such a good story line and I definitely liked what it had to offer. I do get frustrated with Angel a little bit because she lets Chase control her so much when it comes to their love, I wish maybe she would stand up to him when he manipulates her into kissing him and so on and instead good back and make him want her more. But really I guess who could resist that!
I still can’t get over how much this series is JUST LIKE the lux series by Jennifer armentrout right down to the fact that there’s a prequel about Travis! Just like there was in the lux series. In this chase and angel finally tell eachother how they feel and Emma shows up. Angel is kidnapped for a few days driving chase crazy and in the end it’s Emma’s Dad whom chase has to kill. He will not allow anyone to hurt angel. But now he has to deal with Travis as Emma can they get past this terrible hurt?
I was kind of torn between three and four stars. Three because as I was reading, throughoout the story I'm like "who says these things?" It was kind of like I was reading a book for eleven year olds from an amateur author. It got to the point to where it became increasingly annoying. However, the story still sucks me in and I find myself not wanting to go to sleep until I finished the book.Which is why I gave it four stars. The same thing happened with the first book and Im sure its going to happen with the next.lol
This was a quick read but I found myself more frustrated than anything with the characters. Also the logic for some of this story was off. He could feel her emotions but anytime she was feeling anything when he wasn’t around it was forgotten. It was as if it only worked when the author wanted it too. Also towards the end it felt like important things were skipped over and I felt like I was missing something important that happened but that we as readers didn’t get to see. This book wasn’t all bad but these few things really bothered me.

I live for Chase's and Angel's banter. I'm a banter type girl... so this story was up my alley. The Divisa series is a nice quick read, which is perfect time-wise. But the twist in the story with the comeback of "spoiler" kind of put a ranch in my enjoyment. Otherwise, this is a cute series and I am definitely in love with Chase Winter and his banter. The second novel is its own character, whereas the first novel had a lot of similarities to other novels but I personally don't care and enjoyed it.
Continuation of what was going on at the end of “Saving Angel”. Angel is back to school after her ‘accident’ with the lower demon and her soul link with Chase.
I don’t like the way the Angel/Chase relationship is going. It feels like the antagonism/attraction thing is too forced and drawn-out. That and the danger thing is not going anywhere. Just taking up pages of words. Then finally, halfway through, we got some exciting action and plot advancement.
Fave scenes: the flat tire, visiting Ives, Lexi’s angry rave, Angel & Chase leaving for the Winter dance and escaping the hunters.
