I read this for a "senior seminar" or "values and vocation" course. I actually found it useful for developing discernment. It challenges our definition of vocation. It was good to have a group to discuss it with, though. I would not have gotten as much out of it reading it alone. I especially like the last chapter which gives a good picture of listening for God's direction.
